I used to see Elena for laser years ago, but moved away from the city. Recently I moved back and wanted to get a touch-up, so I went to see her again. She was just as awesome as I remembered -- super friendly, genuine, and professional, plus her services are reasonably priced. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get laser hair removal done in Vancouver. read more

Elena is friendly. BUT After the chemical peel, I got a lot of rash around my eyes and on my forehand... i get peel done regularly, this is the first time i got rash. .. Very bad experience read more

I loved meeting Elena today. It was my first visit, and I am sure it won't be my last! She is such a beautiful woman. During the whole session, (micro-needling) she was so Attentive and caring towards what was going on and how I felt. I would highly recommend this spa! Thanks again! :) read more

Elena runs her business in a tiny room located inside JSpa on 4th. It's not super fancy, but she does a great job and is super nice. I've gone to see her 4 or 5 times now for some laser hair removal. She iced my legs before applying the laser, so I didn't feel a thing (except for the cold ice). My hair is pretty much all gone now and I'm so excited that I won't be having to shave my legs again! Elena also makes an organic skin care line that smells divine. She misted some rose toner on me once, and it calmed me down and put me in such a good mood for the rest of the afternoon. The room is clean, Elena is friendly and efficient. This place is great. read more

I went to Elena's for her microneedling procedure after reading positive reviews on her. I have done IPL a number of times and wanted to try something different and I was very impressed with the results. It was not really painful as she numbs the skin beforehand, afterward I was red and blotchy for a couple hours but by the next day I was fine (I did not put anything on my face for almost 48 hrs afterwards just to be safe). Two days after my skin looked healthier and fresher. I have been to a couple high end dermatologists in this city and in my opinion Elena does an amazing job for a fraction of the price. I followed up a couple weeks after with a hydra facial which was also fantastic. I am already booked for two more treatments of microneedling and look forward to seeing if the results can get any better than they already are. Highly recommend her!! read more

I've been to Elena's twice and this lovely lady knows what she's doing! Already my skin looks better and she never tried to sell me anything I didn't need (if you've ever been to a spa you know how rare that is!). I will absolutely be back, already booked in. Highly highly recommend. read more

Not a thorough job for me in terms of hydro facial. Maybe my expectation is too high for vancouver.

i have come to elena a few times now for microdermabrasion and goodness, do i feel amazing and fresh and clear afterwards! she makes all her own organic products and to be wrapped and layered with such constant deliciousness on my face is the absolute of luxury! i won't put stuff on my skin that i'm not willing to eat and i truly think i could eat elena's products! I have bought her skin scrub and creams before and though pricey (for me), nothing else compares and they have excellent coverage so they last longer than the cheaper subpar kind of stuff! elena is gentle and kind and friendly and undoubtedly very knowledgable and passionate about skin care! i hope i can get in to see her again soon! read more

Elena is very knowledgeable about skincare and her products are excellent. My skin feels so good after one of her MicroDermabrasion treatments, which includes lots of exfoliating and moisturizing lotions, as well as body and scalp massage. It's such a luxurious treatment! I will be returning on a regular basis. read more

I'm getting married in 4 months and wanted to find a spa which specifically does body treatments. I found this place on Yelp, and figured I'd try out a facial before committing to treatments around my wedding date. Well, I'm glad I tested it out first. I agree with other reviewers that say the space is nice and very clean. However I am mystified as to why others have used terms like "gentle" and "relaxing". I got microdermabrasion with an organic facial. While I understand that microdermabrasion is not going to feel "nice" (I've had it before and it's been fine), I was shocked at how aggressive and jerky her movements were on my face. Once that part was done, and the so-called facial started, it got even more aggressive. It seemed as if she was working against a clock, and all her movements were fast and jerky. The massage others have described as a nice bonus, was so rough and fast, I couldn't wait for it to stop. And at least three times she moved the table around the room in a quick, jerky motion, one time so fast I swear I felt a bit dizzy. I was so confused the whole time, wondering why the experience was so rough, and how it could be so different than all the reviews I read. Afterwards Elena asked how I felt, whether I was relaxed. To which I responded, "not really, that was more aggressive than I expected". She explained it away, saying she has "strong hands" and that I should've said something, but honestly I felt so uncomfortable I thought it best to just say nothing and pray that it was over soon. And she WAS rushing, because she started 15 minutes late and still ended on the hour (it was supposed to be an hour treatment). But I didn't mind - I was just happy to get out of there sooner rather than later. I basically felt like I paid her $100 to smack me around. All that said though, my skin did look smoother and brighter after the treatment. So I'll at least give her that. Needless to say though, I won't be going back. read more

I have been seeing Elena for a couple years now for laser hair removal on my underarms and bikini area. She is such a professional and you can tell she really knows what she is doing. The treatments are so effective (so happy I never have to shave again!) and she's so pleasant and makes the sessions so comfortable (she never makes the bikini sessions awkward!). She turns down the laser for sensitive areas to ensure your skin's safety and she always explains how your hair is doing, whether it's responding well to the laser or not, etc etc. Very happy with her services. read more

I noticed there aren't any reviews on Elena's organic body scrub treatment, so I felt like I must tell the world this amazing service she provides. If anyone is looking for a wonderful full body massage and a body exfoliation, this is the treatment you must try! Your body will feel relaxed and smooth, you'll be in for a treat. Combine this with a facial and you are set! read more

Just got laser hair removal (I.P.L) from Elena's Medi Spa. Was painless , fast and very reasonably priced! Elena was super nice and very experienced with over 12 years under her belt witch gave me peace of mind. I also really liked the look and lay out of her place. Would definitely recommend to any female or male clients! read more

I went to her for a hydrafacial and a laser photofacial. She's very knowledgable and caring about your skin needs. She tailors the laser to your skin's sensitivity. The hydrafacial literally sucked out a huge pimple I had and left it smooth. She ices your skin before each "shot" of laser, which is the only uncomfortable part. I bought her Repair Moisturizer ($60). I love it and it smells great! It's all natural and super moisturizing for my dry skin. I put it on every night and morning. It may be too greasy for some people but it creates a nice healthy glow, especially under makeup. read more

Tried the Venus legacy, instant results on the second session! So happy with the service, Elena is amazing!

She is truly the best!! I had the hydra-facial and my skin looks amazing... thank you Elena!

I found this place on Yelp and I'm glad I trusted the reviews. I've been going there for a few months now for microdermabrasion, and the result is evident. Elena is always on time and courteous. The spa is clean and her beds are comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone who'd like to give non-invasive facial treatments a try. read more

Great first experience here! Elena is welcoming and friendly. The space is warm, clean and feminine. Pricing seems fair and she offers specials and discounts. I will continue to see her for other treatments and services. read more

Elena is the most genuine, honest and personable esthetician I've had the pleasure of purchasing services from. I bought a groupon for four IPL photo facial and microdermabrasions for a steal but I've never feel like Elena has cheaped out on service or treated me anything but a valued customer. Appointments feel like I am catching up with a good friend. The age spots on my skin have faded considerably over three treatments and my skin looks fresher overall. I also love that I can schedule and reschedule my own appointments online without having to pick up a telephone. I would highly recommend Elena. read more

Elena's Medi Spa is a treasure to discover, especially in her new location, just doors from her former location! Elena's approach is not only professional but also warm and friendly making you comfortable even under the laser machine (IPL Photo facial). She thoughtfully iced the face to ease any possible discomfort and paid attention to every small detail of my wellbeing. It was truly a pleasure to meet her and I plan to become a regular customer who wholeheartedly recommend Elena to anyone wishing for great results with the least pain in her experienced hands. read more

My experience with Elena's Medi Spa was horrible. I bought a Groupon for 4 IPL and microdermabrasion treatment and went in for my initial appointment the first week of March. The skin issue I wanted to target were my sun spots/hyperpigmentation. I had told her that a previous korean laser clinic mentioned that I potentially had melasma. She was unsure as to whether I had melasma or not when she analyzed my skin so she suggested starting with one IPL treatment to see if my hyperpigmentation improves or worsens. In addition, she agreed to give me a full refund if my hyperpigmentation worsens. I agreed to this and we proceeded with the IPL treatment. My first issue with the treatment was that she did not take her time to make sure every part of the face was targeted. The treatment was done VERY quickly as if she just wanted to get off work and have dinner with her friends. I even asked her at the end of the treatment if she was certain she got every part of my face... On top of that she did not provide me with a headband to push my hair back and ended up burning off some of my baby hair with the IPL machine. Usually after IPL treatment your hyperpigmentation should get dark (almost like scattered coffee grounds on the face) before they fade as the skin renews itself in 2 weeks. However, the darkness of my hyperpigmentation did not improve after 2 weeks when I was supposed to come in for a microdermabrasion treatment. I decided to cancel my appointment as I was not impressed with my first treatment. I decided to proceed with a refund as I did not want my hyperpigmentation to worsen. She informed me that I would need to get a refund through Groupon. I emailed Groupon asking for a refund and they asked me to forward them an email from Elena confirming she agrees to the refund. I'm not sure why a customer would have to email a merchant on their behalf when they clearly have the merchants contact information and can send an email to confirm themselves. The customer service at Groupon is poor to say the least. Expect to do their job for them. After weeks of getting one word emails from Elena I decided to call her. She confirms through the phone that she sent an email to Groupon agreeing to the refund. However, every time I have sent an email to Groupon they consistently say that they have yet to receive an email from Elena. Basically giving me the runaround to dodge the refund. After almost 2 month of going back and forth with emails, they agreed to give me a refund with Groupon bucks....To me this is unacceptable. If they provided great customer service to begin with and were an ethical company, I wouldn't mind accepting the Groupon bucks and supporting the company. However, I refuse to support this company after having such a horrible experience with their customer service representatives. I texted Elena informing her that they refused to refund my credit card like she promised at the initial appointment and she responded with "I don't know what to say at this point" and "It's between you and them. They have your money and I don't. They should give your money back." Basically giving me no resolution to the issue that I have been dealing with for almost 2 months now .... Although I hated having to deal with Groupon, they were not the ones that promised the refund initially, Elena did. If she was not sure as to whether Groupon would provide a refund (not with Groupon bucks!) she should not have promised it at the initial appointment. Thoroughly disappointed with my experience with both Groupon and Elena's Medi Spa. Would not recommend this Spa to ANYONE!!! read more
