The manager Ashley is completely awful, combative and childish. I had an appointment that the massage therapist had to cancel because her kids were sick which is understandable- been there before. My problem is that they made no effort to reschedule and so I found an appointment for the next day online with someone else- then when I realized it wasn't going to work with my kids schedule I called to cancel it. Ashley answered the phone and said fine we won't charge you because it's for your kids and I laughed and said yeah and that'd be ridiculous if I was charged because you guys cancelled on me first and no one reached out to reschedule. She just went on to be extremely cold and harsh about everything- "unsympathetic" like another reviewer said and instead of trying to reschedule me she hung up on me. I have told them I want to cancel my membership but they said they would not refund my money for that month and I have yet to receive any confirmation it's cancelled and I won't get charged next month. read more

Please note: Tipping is not optional at this establishment. The manager explained to me that therapists count on tips as 50% of their income. I would suggest that establishments such as these where employees go to school and train to be therapists should NOT force their employees to rely on tipping; rather they should pay their employees a fair wage and leave the tipping factor out of the equation. Absolutely horrible. My husband went and got one massage there 6 months ago and they have been charging our card every first of the month since then even though we called to have it canceled months ago, it's still happening. They don't actually cancel your payments. We now have to dispute every charge with our bank and we don't even know if we will get our money back for the last 6 months when he only went once. I really like how the receptionist briefly describes each masseuse's type of massage when making appointments. I'll choose deep tissue over relaxing massage 100% of the time! The masseuses also seem to stay here for years, which says a lot for the place. I was very very happy with my half-hour neck and shoulders massage. read more

My experience with Elements massage was very poor mainly due to the manager, Ashley. I don't have anything negative to say about the massage therapist other than we were poorly matched with my needs vs what the therapist provides. As a result it was mutually agreed to end the massage early. You have to prepay and the nice staff assured me it wasn't a problem and I would be refunded. Ashley was unsympathetic and won't credit the difference. I'm having to dispute the charge with my credit card company. If you want a spa-like experience this isn't the place. I've had two massages and, while they were good, they weren't my cup of tea. They were very intense. It felt more like going for physical therapy. I miss scented oils. The room is too cold and too bright. Staff is very professional it just wasn't right for me. read more

I have had massages at both Elements Massage locations in Fitchburg and Middleton, WI (Fitchburg is my home base). I absolutely LOVE the flexibility of being able to go back and forth between the two! Sometimes Middleton will have specials for $49 or $59 massages. Since I work from home, I often am able to snag a great deal! I see Andrew at Fitchburg, he is absolutely terrific, and allows clients to use their own oils if budget is a concern (which it has for me). Elements also has a WONDERFUL hold policy so you can put your monthly massage on deduction for two months at a time, and continue indefinitely (2 months on 2 months off) if your budget does not allow. Over the last three years, Elements has made my life a BETTER life, and I hope it continues to help thousands of others too! read more

I have experienced nothing but issues with this membership. My first experience started with the masseuse showing up late, I was told I would receive a free upgrade which I did not get. Our 3rd appointment was cancelled same day. They again offered a free upgrade in return, we had already paid for our membership massage yet I was charged for an additional massage AND for the upgrade that was supposed to make up for their inconvenience. I called in and spoke with a very helpful person who refunded me the charge and said she would give me an Element's Promise (free massage) to make up for the numerous issues I had encountered. She also stated that she would place my membership on hold (w/o 30 day notice) to allow me to use the free massage and decide if I would change my mind and not completely cancel. I was then charged for the membership still less than 2 weeks later. read more
