I had an appointment here recently and unfortunately did not have the best experience. Before the…read moreappointment, I clearly explained what I wanted and let him know my budget, which was $215. The appointment took quite a while, and when it was finished, the result wasn't really what I had asked for. I tried to overlook it at first, but I was already feeling disappointed. Toward the end, he mentioned that he was very busy and might not have time to fully style my hair. I understand being busy, but as a paying client, I expected the full service and not to feel rushed. The ending felt hurried, and I didn't feel like the attention to detail was there. On top of that, I was told the total was $230 instead of the $215 we discussed. It felt overpriced compared to what we had agreed on, and I ended up needing my dad to come help me with the payment situation. Overall, I just wish there had been better communication, clearer pricing, and more care taken with the final result.

Going here made me remember why I dye my own hair. This was genuinely the WORST experience I have…read moreever had. Asked for my hair to be cut and dyed a cherry red (I provided images for the lady). First of all, she didn't tell me whether or not the dye I would have put in my hair would be permenent or semi permanent. The picture of the hair color I wanted was CHERRY red and she stated after I complained it wasn't the right color I asked for that she used "cherry red". She also took NO accountablity whatsoever. Not offering for a followup, not even a sorry. She basically said "it's not my fault, it's yours!". To add onto that, she kept saying "the hair colors aren't that different if you compare them together!". DUDE, my hair is a brownish orangey color now. Not vibrant whatsoever. I kept showing her references of the haircut and the color and she would push it aside and tell me that she doesn't need the reference. The lady that did my hair also started washing it 15 minutes early saying "eh it's prob ok to go now". She didn't tell me it might not turn out the way I wanted, she didn't act like she had any concerns. And when it did turn out bad, she said it was "because of my roots"??? I'm super upset about this because I have hoco saturday and two concerts (Tuesday and Thursday) this week. My schedule is booked to the brim as well so I can't do anything to change the color. Literally wouldn't even be writing this review if I got a sorry from the girl by the way. I don't recommend going here.

My 5 -star experience with Rebecca at Coastal Hair Co…read more I had my first appointment today with Rebecca at Coastal Hair Co., and I can honestly say... she worked an absolute miracle on my hair! I have very thick, long, heavy hair that was way overdue for a proper cut and color. For almost 20 years, I struggled to find someone in my area with the experience and skill to handle my hair the way I truly envisioned. Well... the search is officially OVER! Rebecca is not only incredibly talented, but you can immediately tell she's highly trained and confident in what she does. She gave me the most beautiful layered cut effortlessly--something that is NOT easy with my hair--and my highlights turned out exactly how I've always wanted: bright blonde, shiny, and full of life. I actually looked at her beautiful hair and said, I want my highlights to look just like yours and she indeed delivered! Anyone who knows blonde highlights knows how tricky they can be--too often they turn out dull or flat. But Rebecca clearly knows the proper techniques and products because my color is vibrant, dimensional, and actually SHINES! Coastal Hair Co. itself is gorgeous and welcoming, and it's amazing to know that all of their stylists are experienced master stylists and colorists. You can really feel the professionalism the moment you walk in, not to mention the positive energy that fills the atmosphere the moment you step through the front door. Happy people work there and it's obvious. I can confidently say I've finally found my forever stylist... my hair miracle worker! I look forward to my next appointment! Thank you, Rebecca--I'm beyond happy!

Lucas was patient and gave me a great haircut until I was just about to walk out of the building. I…read moreasked for long layers to be added to my hair without taking off any length. He did that. It looked great. I told him it looked perfect that my hair has never looked so good. It was exactly what I wanted. I wanted my super thick hair thinned and not choppy. He then says he's going to make it "perfect." Im really confused because I just told him it looked perfect but I trusted him to just do some last minute trimming. Well next thing I know half my hair is gone. I'm in shock I said I wish you hadn't done that; tried to look on the bright side and think of how it'll always grow back. I paid, ran out the door and have been crying ever since. I don't see any layers left. I have short bangs and half my hair chopped off. It feels thicker on the ends than when I started. It is literally a nightmare. I cannot put my hair up in a bun anymore without a hair tie because it's so bluntly cut on the ends. Wish I never went in, I'll have to wait a year for it to all grow out. In the meantime I have to spend extra time to get extensions put in. The reason I'm writing this is because had he stopped and just done what I had asked i would have been really enjoying this hair cut. I can't go back and fix it but I do hope Lucas reads this and starts actually listening to his customers so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I booked an appointment with Darrin. Prior to arrival time I had to confirm my appointment twice…read more Upon arrival, I was informed that Darrin no longer works at this salon. Common courtesy dictates that you do not book and confirm appointments for someone whom you do not employee. Another client in the salon said they had treated her the same way the week prior. Another stylist offered to fit me in his schedule. I had to wait an hour past my appointment time and then unfortunately got a haircut that did not workout for my hair. This stylist was very apologetic but did not have the required time to do anything but a rushed job. The front desk person came just short of calling me a liar about the appointment until I showed her my phone messages. The salon manager never apologized during our telephone conversations. She only wanted to make sure I would wait the hour to have a haircut. It did not take long for this lash place to ruin a nice hair salon. It is evident that hair is not a priority anymore.
