Frizzed, choppy, can't hold my hairstyle, and color faded. Time to add color myself. Oh No!

It saddens me to write a negative review. It's not my thing to do, but it's been a month of stressed out hair days which means not getting a decent night's sleep and obsessing over how to fix what was supposed to be a healthy color correction. It ended up being nothing more than a full head of bleach with more added at the sink. A process I stipulated during consultation was absolutely not what I wanted. I have not had bleach in my hair for 5 years! For my birthday, my spa hollywood stylist and I came up with a plan to start with a neutralizing toner (I told her toners are not hair-friendly for me, but she said that just meant it was the wrong toner) and then minimally break up some of the color in my hair with a light foil of gentle bleach. And create a money piece in the front section of my crown. I showed her several pictures. Instead, not only was my hair almost fully foiled in a 30v bleach that I said was too strong for my thin hair, but the sections of my hair that were not in foil got bleached!!! Another stylist directed this new plan without consulting with me first and then at the bowl as they're adding even more bleach, they finish it off with toner! At the end of the service which meant my bleached out hair was tinted in a dull lavender monotone. I was charged a lot of money for a head of bleach that quite honestly not only could I have done myself (with the same disastrous results) but that any stylist, anywhere, could have done for pocket change. I contacted the stylist a few days later and said I needed to have my hair fixed. I hadn't washed it yet - too afraid. But when I finally did, using all the pro l'oreal products I always use when my hair is looking fragile, my hair turned into a frizz bomb. I was so distressed, I wrote a 2 page letter to the stylist going over everything we agreed to and everything that went wrong by doing what we had not agreed to. When I saw her, we were both teary eyed (she is a really nice person). We came up with a new plan to heal my hair and add color to it since the toner was awful and the color that remained in the length of my hair was almost platinum/blond. She took copious notes on what colors we were going to use - a low light and a demi-permanent bold yellow blonde - and what was going to be done with them. Including a money piece in front with by removing the toner and adding some pop to my lavender/beige crown. When the actual day came, she looked at my frizzed out hair, said she was going to do a repair treatment, she had found a bold yellow blonde and we reselected a blended lowlight. I reminded her that we were going to break up the toner with some kind of remover, but she said that the few foils of bleach in my money piece would break up the toner. When she began rinsing at the bowl she began adding yellow, at first only a little bit to the front of my hair. Then all over my hair. My stomach sank. She rinsed me out, handed me a mirror, and asked if the yellow was dark enough. It was wet, my hair looks darker when it's wet. I said I thought so. She put a Kerastase treatment in my hair to repair the damage from the bleach. Unfortunately, my hair looked much lighter when it was blown out, my money piece didn't pop, and I said the yellow could be bolder. And oddly enough, I was charged for the color and treatment. I really thought the color should have been part of what I was already charged, and the treatment thrown in because, after all, I did Not ask for my hair to be bathed in bleach. Next came a haircut. I really don't have time to write about the choppy hair I left with and how my hair immediately frizzed out when I walked out. I returned to a different stylist to try to blend my hair. After cutting, I was told that my hair would need to grow out for 3 or 4 months before it could be properly reshaped. I was also told that over time my hair would begin to heal. I really believe haircuts should make your hair look healthier. I specifically said that before my first cut. My hair is one day in from washing it with expensive healing products and styling with expensive conditioners/oil and it's all frizzed out. Usually my second day is my best day and my hair looks healthier and shinier. Comments from family/friends: your hair is too light and does nothing for you. Color faded 50% in less than 2 wks I hope the salon owner reads this because I truly believe that the techniques the stylists are taught in the salon should only be used on hair that's appropriate for them. Much of styles I saw in the salon (including on the stylists) reminded me of stepford wives. I shared that with my stylist because I said I don't want my hair to look like theirs. Do these styles work for some people? Absolutely! I saw one client walk out with amazing hair!!! I saw 2 others walk out and they did not. So, as I attempt to make my hair presentable, I am continuing to spend hours watching videos, buying expensive hair products, and trying them out. Nothing helps.

If I could rate a negative star, I most certainly would. I can't say enough - but since my Google review was removed along with any other bad review, I will say it here. A stylist reached out to me via Facebook with 15K followers and what looked like very professional, amazing looking work all over her page. After getting me in the very next day, I spent 10 hours sitting in her chair. I left with a full head of ORANGE hair in which I was charged full price for and had to actually get legal representation to be reimbursed. My experience was traumatizing - to say the least. Stylists were rude, arguing about who I should TIP after all this, talk of lawyers, essentially saying it was "my fault" my hair did not come out the way I wanted it to and that "every style looks different from one head to the next" And to top it off I had to see a dermatologist after all this as a result of a chemical burn and was unable to wash my hair for nearly a week. The photos are of what I was going for and my hair before toner - but toner washes out and almost 6 months later I am still paying to fix this mess. It's been absolutely dreadful.

I had a wonderful experience today with a talented Hillary. I came for a correction since i had a horrible experience at the other salon. Hillary had a vision how to make my hair look great. I wanted a balayage but not too blonde. She did such a beautiful job. I am so happy, I absolutely love my hair.

Beautiful blend of highlights from my natural color. She brought the color to be perfect tone. Logan Ellen Thompson

Logan Ellen Thompson was the hair dresser. She hooked me up with a perfect highlight bring me to this beach natural sun kissed color which compliments my natural tones so well. I love her distribution of highlight and can't wait for her next step for me. Worth it $$$ Logan also picked out a after care product line to protect my locks and teach me good care. Had to give them 5 because it was a great experience!

We were very happy with the results, too! I'm very pale and was worried about being orange, but did a level 2 spray and look fantastic! As a first time customer, she didn't explain any of the tanning options, prices, or lotions--I had to drag every bit of information out of her by asking multiple questions. It felt like I was bothering her just by being there. For a place where you're trying something on your skin and body, you really want staff who are informed, friendly, and willing to guide you. Instead I left feeling uncomfortable and unsure if I even chose the right lotion and tanning time. I won't be coming back and I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone looking for good customer service.
