This nail salon is absolutely fantastic. I came here originally because Ms K's (where I used to go) was completely booked all day. They got me in immediately with Tiffany, who did a lovely job on mani/pedi. Everyone here was professional and enthusiastic without making the place feel stuffy or pretentious. One of the cleanest and nicest facilities, and they have a customer for life now! It's slightly more expensive than k but well worth it for the un rushed quality. Five stars!!!!!! read more

It definitely depends on who is doing your nails, the type of experience you have here. I've been here a few times before and have had great experiences and the nail techs did a really good job! The last time I went, the lady cut my cuticles back so far (on multiple fingers) that I started bleeding and didn't seem to get all of the gel polish I had on before off so you can still see that color in the corners. I do think it's crazy that they charge $5 to remove gel polish. But I will go back, just to a different nail tech. read more

So I go into the nail salon their prices are a little expensive but fine because it's one of the best rated in town so I'm like ok I'll try it. So I get in there the lady asks me what I want. I told her I want a manicure (full new set) and pedicure. She then asks me what kindof nail polish I have on, which I have never been asked in my life. So I tell her gel. Because it doesn't come of with normal nail polish remover. She then tells me it's extra $5 to take off gel polish. I'm like no I'm getting a manicure that's included. She goes not for gel. If you don't want to pay the $5 you can just pick the nail polish off . . . ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME. I'm going to pay almost $100 to get my nails and toes done and you are going to tell me to pick off my nail polish. read more

I went in to get my nails done a couple of months ago and I just couldn't shake off what happened when I went. I went in and wanted a French ombré acrylic set and that was totally fine. But then she told me to choose a color and I chose a color and she was like "not that one that'll make you look old" so she practically picked a pink color that I didn't want. Then while getting them done she asked what length and I said I wanted them shorter then she told me "they would look weird if they are shorter" so the whole time she did my nails I was completely unhappy with them but I'm not someone to make a scene I just wanted to pay and leave. Last but not least she wanted to take pictures of my nails for her site , so the whole time that she was super controlling of my nails was for her online followers.. in the end I paid over $65 I was extremely not happy and not going back. read more

Coming here after that experience they had to remove and fix what the previous shop had done. They were patient and super nice and my nails look great! The price was reasonable. Horrible customer service. Highly recommended so I went. Nail tech was pulling at my leg several times during pedicure and never did she ask or sign for me to move them. She made a mistake on my pedicure I asked how we could fix it. She was visibly upset and did it. Didn't finish manicure and still charged me. I would not recommend this place. I went in on a Monday after work to get a pedicure and a fill. I called at 4:30 pm for an appointment they were able to get me in at 6pm. I was very pleased with my service. The nail tech was very caring. He took his time and did not rush on my nails, he corrected issues that I had from the last fill at another salon. The salon was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pedicure was very relaxing those chairs are amazing and will put you to sleep! I highly recommend this nail salon! read more

This place has really went downhill since they first opened. I would have at one time told you that it was the best place in town to get a pedicure. They stopped allowing you to make appointments which leaves me no options for avoiding the one lady that works there that has given me the worst pedicure I've ever had. My daughter went at a later time, had the same lady, and said it was her worst pedicure ever. Please bring back the appointments so that we have some control over who is working on us. Until then, I'll be looking for somewhere else to get a pedicure. :( read more

The shop didn't get 5 stars because my wife's pedi massage was not enjoyable and we got the detoxifying pedi for 40.00 ( which I was told that the more you spend on a pedi the longer the massage. I LOVE Element. My favorite place to get a pedicure in Manhattan. They start your experience by taking your complimentary drink order, and come and get you from a waiting area once they are ready for you. Their pedicure chairs are amazing, and I recently started getting my nails done here as well. Over all, a very relaxing atmosphere. It can be difficult to find a nail spa that doesn't seemed rushed and over-booked. I always feel welcome, and leave very happy. I love the staff and their work! I highly recommend coming here. (Appointments aren't required, but I would recommend making one.) read more

My nail tech was Tonya and let me tell you , AMAZING!!!! There is not one thing wrong with my nails,she was so gentle but so thorough. She made the experience so comfortable and welcoming. Took my daughter to get her nails done. I was not satisfied with the work. The lady doing her nails talked with co workers instead of focusing on her work. (Talking bad about other co wks and using foul language. One of her other co wkrs told her to keep it down) Therefore, her nails turned out crooked and uneven. Yes, she asked my 14yr old daughter if she liked it and my daughter did not want to tell her. As we left the lounge my daughter showed me her nails and I then made a decision to return back to the lounge. Walked in and immediately asked to speak to the manager Khoi. The lady who did her nails started to get defensive. She was doing someone else's nails and I told her kindly I am waiting for the manager and you should focus on your client. When I returned I knew exactly what I needed to do and wanted to be in and out. I had nothing to say to her and told her to have a good day and I walked away. More happened but i'll chop this in half. I believe customer service is important & giving your full professional attention to your client as well!! First time here and the customer service is amazing! Came in with a group of 4 and from the time we walked in to the time we walked out they were super nice to us. Welcomed us into the store, gave us a menu to look at, offered us something to drink, I was done first because I did my nails and while waiting for the rest of the group to finish their pedi's, they asked me how I liked my nails. I have been to Element more than a handful of times. I've had a few good experiences but the last time I had the same bad experience with the same technician. She shamed me for my nails and then didn't want to trim them to how short I wanted them. I still have old polish on under the manicure She just did. There are severe flaws in this shellac manicure as well. read more

The actual nail experience was fine, but my gel nails (which cost extra) were peeling off after just 3 days. My entire manicure completely came off. Usually gel nails last a couple weeks and have to be removed. These were barely hanging on. My cuticles were also left in bad shape. read more

The only thing that keeps this from being a 5 is that they don't do appointments. Expect to spend some time here. I will never go back here. I called to make an appointment days in advance for 5 people. They said that it would be no problem and they will have plenty of people working at the same time to get us in. Two of us had to leave after waiting an hour because we had other commitments. One didn't get started for an hour and a half. The other two got started 50 minutes late. In the mean time, about 5 or 6 other people walked in and stated they had appointments at the same time we were supposed to. I'm new to the area and will be here for a couple of months and was worried about finding a shop to get my nails done being that I'm very picky and have high expectations , but let me tell you!!...this place is clean, they have a great selection of nail polish and up to date brands, they have great massage chairs to get your pedi also most important to me is the people! All of them were Americanized (not being racist) being real! They laughed and joked and was very professional! They were so down to earth! I love it! Because I need to be comfortable when I'm laying in someone's chair getting my feet rubbed and getting my nails done. Oh and let me not forget how wonderful the owner was as he walked around the salon and just checked on my well being, they offered drinks as soon as I came in the door. The atmosphere was on point and I recommend this place and give it a 10. If you're ready for the best then I suggest you sit in their chairs.
