The location is great and it's really close to Irvine Spectrum, but unfortunately, the hotel itself just isn't worth what we paid. We spent around $1,100 for 3 days, and I expected a lot more. The thing that REALLY set me off was the restaurant experience. I ordered a cheeseburger using the QR code in the room. The restaurant called and asked if I wanted it delivered. I said no, thank you because I didn't want to pay the extra $3 delivery fee plus the $3.24 service charge, before even considering a tip. So I WALKED DOWN and picked up my own food. When I got there, the guy printed my receipt and said, "Please sign this and add a tip." I put $0 because, again, I literally scanned a QR code, ordered my own food, walked downstairs and picked it up myself. As he looked at the receipt, he said "Thanks, buddy" in a very obviously sarcastic way because I didn't tip. Seriously?! I'm sorry, but I'm not tipping someone for an order I placed myself and physically went downstairs to pick up. Then there's housekeeping. The paper in the room says housekeeping is every day and even tells you to leave your towels on the floor if you want them replaced. So we did exactly that... And they never came. So what's the point of putting that information in the room if you're not actually going to provide the service? Pros * Very close to Irvine Spectrum * Good location * AC works great * Breakfast was good Cons * Cell service is REALLY bad, and the Wi-Fi isn't much better * Beds are hard and uncomfortable * Showers were barely warm -- definitely not hot * Housekeeping says daily on the flyer... nope * Supposedly fresh towels every day... nope * Room service/housekeeping wasn't great * Dirty/used glasses weren't replaced * Expensive for what you actually get Overall, $1,100 for 3 days is way too much for this experience. Top tier customer service where pets are loved!…read more My group of three adults and one dog stayed here for three nights. I checked in early on the Hilton app and selected my room of choice. This is the one of the few times where my selected room was the actual room I received upon arrival. Each time we needed assistance, the attendants quickly tended to us without issue. We arrived at around 9pm. The attendants at the front desk gave such great customer service. Their welcome/check-in spiel was clear, informative, and did not come off as rushed. When they saw that I was staying with my dog, they immediately invited us to bring my dog to the front for her to select a complimentary toy and treat. A first out of all the Homewood Suites I've stayed at! The free breakfast selections were great - eggs, sausage, waffles, potatoes, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, toast, bagels, etc. There is a game room with billiards, giant Jenga, Connect 4, and shuffleboard. The pool area has a ping pong table and giant chess. The 24/7 fitness room is spacious with working equipment. I would definitely stay here again for the customer service alone. Thanks for making our visit such an incredible experience.

My baby was crawling around in the room and had black hands and knees. He was eating someone else's hair so didn't feel clean. The window was really dirty. Also the air conditioner sounded like an airplane was getting ready to lift off.

I asked the report from the third-party but they refused it. They promised transparency on this matter but not at all. I sent all the naked body photos with bedbug bites but they just respond with no evidence and supporting proofs. They want me to accept what they are saying with no proof. The worst hotel ever. Please avoid this hotel. if not you will ruin your trip.

His service was truly exceptional. Unfortunately, the day before (6/12), when my son had asked staff about safe food options due to his allergy, the staff on duty seemed uninterested and dismissive, which was disappointing and concerning. Jasmine in the coffee area was also very sweet. Unfortunately, the positives ended there. Julie, the bar manager, appeared to be drinking wine every time we saw her. At one point, when my husband got up to look for something, she responded with attitude rather than asking if he needed assistance. The bar was packed with softball teams and players, and it felt like helping guests and supporting staff should have been the priority. Service overall was poor. We requested towels and waited over an hour. After following up, we were told the request had been forgotten. The condition of the room was unacceptable. The chair in room 833 was broken and extremely dirty. We were told it would be replaced, but it never was. Most concerning of all, after returning home, my husband developed bites and went to urgent care...they were consistent with bedbug bites following our stay. One additional disappointment: I accidentally left my Conair 10x magnifying lighted vanity mirror in the room and called the very next day to ask if it had been turned in. It was pretty hot (for Irvine) outside. And you definitely felt it in the hallways. It was hot and stuffy. The pillows for the bed was terrible. Caused me to have a kink in my neck in the morning. Our included breakfast in the AM was ok. They used liquid eggs which just isnt that great. Dont get me wrong though, theres a lot of things I enjoyed about my stay here, including: The room looked very posh and high end. AC works amazingly. The bed is very comfortable, you just sink right into it. I really enjoyed how stable and fixed the bed is. The shower pressure us amazing. Good water pressure. Nice fixtures. Customer service. They really bend over backwards for their guests. Able to get some more complimentary water bottles from the front desk. Even the people working in the breakfast room were super helpful and nice. At around 10:00 AM, we were told that the suite was being cleaned. We went out to run some errands and came back about an hour later. We were then told again that the suite was still being cleaned, but that a regular room was already available. We patiently waited for about four hours because we were expecting the suite we had been offered. However, when we finally received our room, it was just a regular room. We normally don't like to complain, but what was most disappointing was the lack of honesty and communication. This wasn't simply a misunderstanding, because we were specifically told multiple times that the suite was being cleaned. If the suite was not actually available or the upgrade could not be honored, we would have preferred to be told that from the beginning. We feel that we wasted a significant amount of our day waiting for something that was ultimately not provided. We understand that upgrades are subject to availability, but we believe guests deserve clear and honest communication so they can make the best use of their time.

I had a long day of driving due to seeing customers, and really needed a nap before having dinner with a customer later in the evening. I used digital check in and to my surprise, my room was ready by noon (well before the 4pm check in). I was not in the best mood due to the 90+ degree heat and all the driving I had to do when I arrived, the staff at the front desk were quick to help me with a parking pass and I liked that there were plenty of parking spaces (and glad the parking spaces were in a structure that is covered). The room itself was clean and nice. I appreciated the extra towels and plenty of pillows on the bed. I had a very pleasant nap before my next meeting with my customer. The extra outlets everywhere is much appreciated, and the wifi was plenty fast for me to do a bit of work in the room. I came back later that night and slept very well, as the AC was plenty strong even with the Irvine heat. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, I liked that all the tables were clean, and there were plenty of hot and cold options for breakfast. Along with plenty of coffee. I had to leave early in the morning, so I appreciate the very early breakfast hours of 6am on M-F and 6:30am on weekends. I can't really think of anything wrong with my stay, I didn't interact with the staff much as I was so tired and stressed from the work day. The only thing I can comment on is if the parking spaces can be a little bigger, my rental car fit just fine but I noticed the SUVs and pickup trucks were having trouble fitting in the spaces. And of course, $37 a night for parking is a bit steep.

The nickel-and-diming is big turn-off. - Parking cost of $30/night seems excessive; I believe $10-20/night is more reasonable and would encourage guests to stay for more nights. - I was fraudulently charged an extra $9 because someone not in my party bought from the hotel shop and charged my room. Marriott did nothing meaningful to fix the problem or the aftermath. If you're trusting this hotel with an important occasion, have a Plan B.
