I was very impressed with this DoubleTree. The room we stayed in had 2 queen beds, a desk, and a bathroom. Additionally, there was a mini fridge, a TV, and a Keurig for coffee or tea. The room was spacious and more than comfortable enough for the 3 of us. The grounds were also very nice and there was a lovely outdoor area with a pool that I would've enjoyed had I been staying here longer than one night. I especially appreciated the fact that parking was not an additional charge and the complimentary cookies were absolutely delicious! Overall, I would definitely consider coming here again if I needed to stay in the area.

Ahhh, another night, another hotel... and why not the DoubleTree where you get a warm cookie just for checking in?!? The price was right which was nice given I made the reservation on the same day. Hitting up the Hilton app, I did see there were some great deal that day... but most of them had these crazy parking fees. So, it was nice that this location doesn't have all that extra up charging... I was a little disappointed that upon check in that I had to wait a little bit for my room. I guess I'm spoiled from having crazy early notices go through the app saying my room is ready... but I was pretty tired and just wanted to check in. I didn't have to wait long though! My room was on the second floor in the main building. The second floor is nice because you can take stairs in the lobby or the elevator. Get those steps in! My room overlooked the pool area which looked nice, with a large hot tub. As I was traveling for work and it was also pretty cold/rainy... I just peeped out at the braver or arguably more fun people who were enjoying the pool area at different times. But just a brief little looksie... nothing weird ... I swear.... Wasn't like I was telling myself that I could TOTALLY hold my breath longer under water than everyone or anything... The room itself was clean and a nice little set up. Wish it had a microwave but there was a refrigerator. Lots of counter space and a little sitting area. Not dark and everything was welcoming. The bed was comfortable and I was snoring my way through yet another night in no time! The area has a lot of places to eat around it. So you won't be disappointed. Lots of Korean food! I ended up doing an Uber Eats order because of the rain. In all this was a surprisingly good choice for under $150 a night with taxes!

Staying at DoubleTree by Hilton Buena Park is all about convenience done right. The location is literally adjacent to the 91 freeway exit, which feels like winning a small travel lottery, and it's super close to Knott's Berry Farm with Disneyland and other Southern California attractions just a short drive away. The hotel is well kept and clearly feels recently renovated, so everything looks fresh, modern, and comfortable. Every team member I interacted with was genuinely pleasant and helpful, which always sets the tone for a good stay. And yes, the warm cookie at check in absolutely still works on me and feels like the perfect welcome. Free parking this close to theme parks is a huge bonus and honestly sealed the deal for me.

An update for my prior trip I had a great experience utilizing the shuttle to Disneyland. The times are about every two hours which for the price is somewhat expected but if you're not an early bird like me, you may have to take the later shuttle towards 11 I did come for an event night at Disney so I did have to Uber back to the hotel but the shuttle there was super smooth and I did a three day trip at this hotel and each time I had a different driver and all of the drivers were so sweet and had great advice for what to try in the area. The stuff here were super kind and I was so glad to get my complementary cookie. There is a bit of noise if you're on the second floor, but that is expected in the hallways, you can kind of hear what's going on in folks's room whether TVs are on or not there's no microwaves in the hotel room, so expect to go to the first floor in the lobby to find the microwave by the ice Machine. I do wish there was microwaves in the room as it would make it so much easier to just have some hot and ready food when I want overall I think this is a great hotel if you're going to Knotts Berry farm or Disneyland on a budget still having that shuttle take you to the park is such a lifesaver at the end of the night when you don't wanna walk a whole mile to a different hotel I definitely will be returning as the rates at this hotel are great!

Yelp Review: DoubleTree by Hilton - 3 Stars. The hotel deserves 2 stars while the staff deserves five stars. Let me explain. I had high hopes for this DoubleTree, especially after hearing so much about their famous cookies. Check-in was smooth, and we were assigned Room 232. However, the experience quickly went downhill when we noticed ants--lots of them--crawling around the room. It was past 12:30 AM, and I called the front desk four times with no answer. Frustrated, I went to the lobby and met a friendly security guard, Mr. Rodriguez, who was also unsure where the front desk staff was. After a few minutes, Humberto, the front desk employee, appeared, explaining he'd been handling another issue. Understandable, but still inconvenient. I told him about the ants, and he promptly moved us to Room 251. I was hoping for an upgrade to make up for the hassle, but it was the same standard room. Humberto did offer us complimentary breakfast, which was a nice gesture. Dragging our bags to the new room after 1:30 AM was exhausting, especially with tired kids in tow. To our dismay, Room 251 also had ants! I called Humberto again, and to his credit, he quickly arranged another room, 261. He personally checked it for ants, which took some time, but we appreciated the effort. Unfortunately, it was another standard room--no upgrade. Room 261 was decent but had its own issues: no body soap in the dispenser and a clogged sink (hair and not from us) that required a maintenance call. How can housekeeping clean a room and not refill the dispensers? As for the famous DoubleTree cookie, it was a letdown. The cookies were hard, maybe because it was so late. The next day I gave the cookies another crack and wowzers they were good this time. I am a believer. The complimentary breakfast at Ventana was a highlight. The food was solid, and the restaurant staff were warm and attentive, with no complaints there. Overall, the staff was kind and tried to help, especially Humberto and Rodriguez. But the multiple room issues, ants, and maintenance problems were too much for one stay. Would I return? Probably not. Too many hiccups unless management convinces me to come back without hiccups.

I'm going to rate their catering food, not so much the hotel as I didn't stay there. I attended a party there and the food was amazingly good. I was surprised. The chicken and the salmon. Wow! I'm not a big salmon guy, but it was fresh, nit dried, and the flavor was so good. And the beef. Let's just say I came back for seconds and thirds. It was that good! Their salad was pretty good as well. Overall, the food was excellent. Don't let hotel food fool you. The chef here deserves a lot of credit! I hope my friend will host more parties here. For Thinsulin fans, there's many green light options here.

My family and I have stayed here a couple times when we visit Disneyland. There is no charge for parking and they also have a complimentary shuttle to Disneyland which is a plus. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. We did have a problem on one visit when the shower stopped working after my daughter used it. Luckily they were able to move us to another room.

We enjoyed our stay at Hilton Buena Park. It's walking distance to The Source which is a nice mall with tons of food options. It also has a restaurant and coffee shop of its own so you don't have to go far. There is a shuttle to Disney, Buena Park Mall, and Knotts. It's a great central location to other destinations. We felt safe and had friendly service. My only complaint is that there was a bug in the shower, ew! But other than that, a comfortable stay for a great price.

Going to Disney or Knott's Berry Farm? Want free parking, yes please! Free shuttle to Disneyland, double yes DoubleTree! All the reasons why I booked this hotel. I mean they greet you with a warm chocolate chip cookie! It's good & definitely got devoured. Who knew DoubleTree does this? Apparently I didn't & Ofc I got suckered in for that haha. Warning, it has nuts in it. DoubleTree Hilton in Buena Park was a good place for my son & I to relax & spend the night. I wanted us to get up early & start the day, without having to worry about LA & SD traffic getting to Disneyland. & not having to worry about parking at DLand too... I would of reserved for another night at DoubleTree after DLand, Bec for sure we were super tired. But, we both agreed that we needed to get back to our homes since we work the next afternoon. Cons: The bathroom in our room had a little stench, but it was bearable. I didn't have time to let them know. Not walking distance to the park. It's about a 15-20 min shuttle ride to DLand. We didn't utilize the pool or jacuzzi Bec there was a big group hanging out at the time. FYI's: Book thru Hilton to get your rewards. I booked thru a 3rd party (Capital One Travel) prepaid & got a discount. But, didn't get the Hilton rewards. Breakfast is not included, unless you booked w/ the breakfast option. When you check in, don't forget to get a parking pass, for each vehicle, for overnight parking... Big Parking Lot, but parking ended up being full by evening. Make a Reservation at reservation counter for DLand. There's also a phone number to text & make reservations. You have to choose pick up times for both Hotel Pick Up & Park Pick Up. Plenty of food options nearby & walking distance. There's also an outdoor mall across the street. Overall, had a good experience staying here. Great service from Kayla at the front desk. And, I can't forget to thank Dave & Ray who were our Shuttle Drivers! TYSM!!

Fantastic place! Every part of the entire hotel was clean and fresh. The free breakfast every morning was awesome! You order from the menu in the hotel restaurant. The location is 1 mile from knits berry farm and has many food choices within walking distance. Room was so clean and spacious. The pool and surrounding areas were so nice and comfortable. Highly recommend this gem!

The two-queen room I got had a balcony facing the courtyard / pool area, so that was nice, but the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, even with the air running (I mentioned it to the front desk so I wouldn't get hit with a smoking charge on my account). I did appreciate the empty fridge to store leftovers and drinks and the ability to stream from YouTube on the TV, so I could have what I wanted to watch and listen to for background noise while in the room. On the other hand, there were some perks of staying here. The most convenient thing is that Porto's is across the street. Trust me when I say, do not drive over to Porto's. Take advantage that you're at the hotel across the street and walk over to save time! There's also lots of uncovered parking on both sides of the property, so you can pick where to park to be closer to get to your room, though it's an open lot, so anyone can come in and out and there's no shelter from the rain. The lobby area has been renovated and is really nice if you need the space and quietness to do some work, wait for your room to be ready, or just to hang out. Staff was pretty awesome too. We had to blow up some balloons and they allowed us the use of an empty meeting room so that we do not disturb anyone in the lobby.

One downside was that we initially had trouble finding the front entrance, as it's located near the handicap parking area in the front. There may be an elevator, but we couldn't locate it. The pool area was also nice and well kept. The staff were courteous, and I really appreciated that they used my first name when I arrived to check in--it made the experience feel more personal. The room was decent for four adults, with enough space to fit a queen‑size inflatable bed comfortably. It also included helpful amenities like a mini refrigerator, ironing board, iron, and hair dryer. One minor drawback is that while the windows let in a nice amount of natural light, there isn't a sheer curtain layer--only blackout curtains--so people walking by can see into the room. There's also no microwave, the outlets are somewhat limited, and the TV remote only worked when used up close. Other than that, I have no complaints. I would stay here again because it's close to everything, but for me and my family, it's more of a short‑term stay rather than a place for an extended visit.

Free WiFi is ok but I couldn't view our cameras back home so either use the cellular network (we have ATT and is decent speed but faster if you're outside ) or a VPN. And plentiful outlets to plug stuff, hangers, closet ironing board, the short fridge is super cold it could ice your water a bit, and decent tv with ehhh some channels but we didn't watch much. Bathroom door is a sliding door with a hook from the inside and well there isn't much privacy if you're sitting down on the toilet. All in all, it's not grand or luxury but it's decent and no complaints. Would we stay here again? I'd say an absolute yes but maybe for a 2nd time

Let's start with the actual check-in process. When I walked in, I felt a slight attitude from the women that worked behind the counter. I felt like I was bothering them to check in and did not really feel welcomed. The room itself is quite old and small, but did the job as it was only for me and two minor boys. However, there are a few things that I noticed off hand that were just strange and not up to the Marriott standards that I'm used to. First off the TV was very small and did not work. The AC unit was tricky because you could not set an exact temperature you could only set it to cool or hot and warm your room or cool your room down and then be forced to get up and turn it back off. That is absolutely ridiculous. You should be able to be comfortable at a certain temperature in your room as if you were at home. Also, the drape over the window is just a little bit strange and could be a curtain or something a little bit nicer. The actual room came with two queen, beds, a desk, a random chair in the corner. There was no safe in the room, which I guess you can ask for one at the front desk. They also don't clean your room every day so you have to ask for clean towels. However, when I came back a second day and asked for clean towels, I was told they were washing some? That was really strange. I felt like they should always have some handy. Was it really that busy there that they ran out of towels? Also, the guy that came to fix the TV was just really sketchy and I did not understand what he was saying. And why does the TV not have at least a TV guide. In order to watch the TV you have to just constantly hit the channel button and you don't even know what you're trying to find to watch. So I barely used the TV. The bathroom was also something to be left to be desired. They did not give us a tub mat, which was interesting. Luckily my boys are old enough that they don't need one, but I thought that hotels normally give those. Also, there was no extra toilet paper and I had to ask for some at the front desk. They literally give you one makeup wipe, a tiny bar of soap, no lotion and the shampoo and conditioner and body wash are stuck on the wall, which is pretty standard down from some hotels. The hotel lobby is just basic. The breakfast is so so and it's something that's included so we took advantage. The first day we went we were able to sit down and enjoy a little bit of our food. However, the second day was extra crowded and we really just took our food to the room because there was nowhere to sit. We did not use the pool, hot tub or the fitness room so I cannot comment to any of those things. Now I have a question because if I am being charged incidentals? What is that I am being charged for because we did not use anything that we could actually charge. The TV did not have pay per view movies and when we went down to the lobby to get a couple of snacks we had to use our credit card to pay for them. What is the point of paying a deposit if there is nothing to charge to your room? Also the elevator is a little bit scary and quirky. You don't really know if you pushed the button or not and you don't really know which elevator is being called because nothing lights up. I did use the laundry area which is four dollars per wash and four dollars per dry and again had to use my credit card. Again, wondering why I had a credit card on hold for incidentals. With all the other options in the area, I don't think I will come here again. Again the location is fine because it's close to a Korean marketplace as well as a couple of eateries and again Knotts. However, there's other places you could stay that probably do the job better than this place. The owners of this hotel really need to read the reviews and update this place!

Both showers were well drained, and hot water came on quickly. It was nice with the two bathrooms, as it speeded up our getting out in the morning. Toilets worked well. I mention this because our friend, who we were traveling with, had an issue with the toilet in his room. To make it right, management offered a suite. He just wanted it fixed, and it was. But he asked if we could be upgraded to a suite, and we were! The flat screen tv in our bedroom worked well when we were able to turn it on. As soon as we realized that it didn't come on because it was unplugged, husband moved the dresser and plugged it in. We wanted a channel guide, but none was on the tv or on paper in the room. We used the 2nd bedroom remote as our remote did not work. Maybe batteries were dead. We didn't need the iron & board in 2nd bedroom, but it was nice if we did need it. I definitely used the full length mirror in that room. The blackout curtains worked! No light came in and we slept through the night and sunrise. The AC unit in our bedroom was quiet. In the other room it was noisy. We appreciated the midsize fridge for leftovers. It couldn't refresh our cold packs, but we didn't expect it to do that. Microwave worked, and we assume the coffee pot did too. But we're not coffee drinkers. Only tea. Lids did not fit cups. Wrong cups. Got right ones downstairs. Breakfast staff was phenomenal! They were friendly and kept everything well stocked. Husband loved the eggs every morning, or had the delicious waffles. He also liked the hot meat (sausage, ham while we were there). We both had orange juice, but no coffee, tea or apple juice. Our friend appreciated the yogurts and fresh fruits. I did too, as well as Raisin Bran and reduced fat milk. He also liked the chocolate milk. Front desk staff was efficient and friendly. We had no problems and would recommend this hotel, the staff, and the amenities - especially free parking.
