I stayed here with my family (2 kids included) for a little less than a week. We booked this due to its location and free shuttle. I love that DoubleTree offers complimentary cookies. My kids enjoyed them so much. The hotel room and amenities met my expectation for a hotel. We did have some issue with the hot water in our bathroom. But I was able to call the front desk, and they were able to send someone to fix it the same day so finally, hot water in the shower! I wanted to talk about how AMAZING the shuttle service is. So they provide a complimentary shuttle service to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. My kids actually enjoyed the shuttle service and it worked out really well with timing for us to travel to the amusement parks without worrying about driving/parking. They have a phone number you can text to make/cancel reservations, they do require advanced notice for this. Each time, they do send a confirmation text so I know I will be picked up. The shuttle may run on time or a little bit late or even a little early, but overall, it was a good experience with it. We always arrived to the stop early enough so we can board. The shuttle does allow strollers without issue so that is great. I think the biggest perk of this place is the shuttle service. Also, parking at the hotel is easy. There's plenty of parking and they do not charge for parking if we are a hotel guest. They provide a parking pass to use during our stay. In the evening, the spots closer to the hotel are taken but still plenty of parking. This is a great location in Buena Park, it is very close to Portos as well so that's a great bonus! read more

My favorite hotel in the OC area. I've visited twice now to spend the night before visiting Disneyland. It's affordable with large spacious & CLEAN rooms, the beds are comfortable, the air conditioning is amazing, the free cookies are delicious & the best perk of all: FREE PARKING! The front desk staff are nice, thank you Nike for offering us water upon arrival. This has become my family's go-to hotel to prepare for a long day at Disneyland, it's in Buena Park but the drive to the Disneyland parking lots is roughly 14 minutes! Just stayed here for 3 nights and it was an okay stay. I chose this hotel because I had Hilton points to use and this hotel required me to use the least amount of points for the number of nights I needed. Pros- -Free shuttle to Disneyland and Knotts. It was easy to set up a reservation each day. They were on time every single time. And the drivers were all so nice! -Free parking -Clean, comfortable room. Cons- Luckily, I researched this hotel in advance and knew what the amenities were. I was annoyed I had to ask for so many things that were included in the stay. -Not enough towels. -Upon check in, I had to ask about the shuttle because they didn't mention it. Had I not researched in advance, I would have never known about the free shuttle. -After checking in, I had to go back downstairs to ask for the cookies that should have been offered to us at check in. - I specifically did not pack shampoo, conditioner and body wash because I saw that the room had the dispensers in the shower. Imagine how frustrating it was to be in the middle of my first shower on the first night and realizing ALL of the dispensers were empty. WHYYYYY were they not filled BEFORE our arrival?? - It was nice to have a restaurant on site but we received pretty rude service from an older woman. So we never went back. - PLEASE fix the door on room 312. We had to BUST the door open to get in and SLAM it hard when we'd leave in order for it to fully close. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again, but it was fine for what we needed and within the amount to use our points for 3 nights. read more

I was very impressed with this DoubleTree. The room we stayed in had 2 queen beds, a desk, and a bathroom. Additionally, there was a mini fridge, a TV, and a Keurig for coffee or tea. The room was spacious and more than comfortable enough for the 3 of us. The grounds were also very nice and there was a lovely outdoor area with a pool that I would've enjoyed had I been staying here longer than one night. I especially appreciated the fact that parking was not an additional charge and the complimentary cookies were absolutely delicious! Ahhh, another night, another hotel... and why not the DoubleTree where you get a warm cookie just for checking in?!? The price was right which was nice given I made the reservation on the same day. Hitting up the Hilton app, I did see there were some great deal that day... but most of them had these crazy parking fees. So, it was nice that this location doesn't have all that extra up charging... I was a little disappointed that upon check in that I had to wait a little bit for my room. I guess I'm spoiled from having crazy early notices go through the app saying my room is ready... but I was pretty tired and just wanted to check in. I didn't have to wait long though! My room was on the second floor in the main building. The second floor is nice because you can take stairs in the lobby or the elevator. Get those steps in! My room overlooked the pool area which looked nice, with a large hot tub. As I was traveling for work and it was also pretty cold/rainy... I just peeped out at the braver or arguably more fun people who were enjoying the pool area at different times. But just a brief little looksie... nothing weird ... I swear.... Wasn't like I was telling myself that I could TOTALLY hold my breath longer under water than everyone or anything... The room itself was clean and a nice little set up. Wish it had a microwave but there was a refrigerator. Lots of counter space and a little sitting area. Not dark and everything was welcoming. The bed was comfortable and I was snoring my way through yet another night in no time! The area has a lot of places to eat around it. So you won't be disappointed. Lots of Korean food! The location is literally adjacent to the 91 freeway exit, which feels like winning a small travel lottery, and it's super close to Knott's Berry Farm with Disneyland and other Southern California attractions just a short drive away. The hotel is well kept and clearly feels recently renovated, so everything looks fresh, modern, and comfortable. Every team member I interacted with was genuinely pleasant and helpful, which always sets the tone for a good stay. And yes, the warm cookie at check in absolutely still works on me and feels like the perfect welcome. This DoubleTree Hotel is conveniently right off the 91 freeway. However, from my room, I could hear all the noise from the freeway. I could imagine a homeless person living on the street hearing all the vehicular noise. If I had to do this again which is unlikely, definitely request a room away from the freeway side. The wall mounted HVAC units allow all the exterior noise to travel into the rooms. It didn't help that my room faced the freeway. The room inside was decent, but not being able to sleep properly is definitely an issue. I'd also recommend some earplugs if you are staying at this property. read more

I booked this hotel for one reason- the free shuttle service to Disneyland and Knotts. For the most part the the shuttle worked fine. There is some minor communication issues as the shuttle cell phone is sometimes not picked up. It was late a few times. The hotel let's you park in their lot and use the shuttle on the day your check in. For example, I arrived at 9am and took the next shuttle to Knotts. Took the 2:15PM shuttle back into the hotel and got into my room before the 4PM check in time. The hotel is a bit older. Everything seemed clean at first. However, in my room, I did find a bunch of soap scum in my tub and few hairs in the toilet. The toilet needed a good cleaning around the rim. It has a large tv, coffee maker and fridge. The bed was comfortable. The fire alarm went off at 2:00 AM on my first night. Some of the residents got up and got dressed. No staff around. No explination. So we all headed back to bed. For Hilton Honors check in, well the front desk staff didn't inform me about the two free bottle waters (I had to asked) and didn't offer me a cookie. I think the key here is the free shuttle and free parking. The rest of the grounds I didn't use. It has a convention center area that was used nightly. read more

An update for my prior trip I had a great experience utilizing the shuttle to Disneyland. The times are about every two hours which for the price is somewhat expected but if you're not an early bird like me, you may have to take the later shuttle towards 11 I did come for an event night at Disney so I did have to Uber back to the hotel but the shuttle there was super smooth and I did a three day trip at this hotel and each time I had a different driver and all of the drivers were so sweet and had great advice for what to try in the area. The stuff here were super kind and I was so glad to get my complementary cookie. There is a bit of noise if you're on the second floor, but that is expected in the hallways, you can kind of hear what's going on in folks's room whether TVs are on or not there's no microwaves in the hotel room, so expect to go to the first floor in the lobby to find the microwave by the ice Machine. I do wish there was microwaves in the room as it would make it so much easier to just have some hot and ready food when I want overall I think this is a great hotel if you're going to Knotts Berry farm or Disneyland on a budget still having that shuttle take you to the park is such a lifesaver at the end of the night when you don't wanna walk a whole mile to a different hotel I definitely will be returning as the rates at this hotel are great! read more

Had a great 3 night stay at this location this past weekend. We arrived on Friday around midnight and the front desk employee was friendly. I asked for two keys and he then sent us off with a warm cookie each. Our room was in the second wing towards the back so we had to treck our stuff on over. Once we made it past the pool and into that second wing we noticed that one of the elevators there was down. Our room was spacious, clean, and the bed and pillows were comfy. The AC was great as we ran it at a nice cold 65 degrees all weekend! Our bathroom door got stuck and maintenance was over within 5 minutes to get it unstuck. There was plenty of parking and it was well lit and it also felt safe. I would stay here again! read more

I booked a room here through my credit card portal. Everything went through just fine until 2 days before checking in when it was canceled by Hilton. I called Hilton and they confirmed it was canceled by a third party, but Hilton themselves rebooked me directly, which was fine. I initially called the location for early check-in as I got put on an earlier flight. The person on the phone said that shouldn't be a problem. When I get to the hotel to check-in, the rude male employee behind the counter said there is no early check-in as they are fully booked. I literally called just a few hours ago and I was told yes. I then said that's fine, I'll wait in the lobby. The rude male employee once again in a very sassy and demeaning tone, "Well, you're going to have to wait a while then." It was way too early to be arguing so I let that employee be and took a seat in the lobby to nap. Luckily, another employee was much kinder. She saw people hanging out in the lobby and asked about early check-in and was very courteous about it and checked people in. She saw that I had two reservations. I said I only have one in my Hilton account. The other must have been the one that was somehow canceled. She printed the other one out in the scenario I want/need to dispute the double booking and get a refund on one. I checked into the room, it was a regular room. The main lobby elevators didn't work my entire stay. We had to walk outside to the other building and use those elevators. When I get to the room, the phone rings and someone else asks if I booked two rooms. I said no. I literally just told the front desk about the situation, I'm not sure who is even calling to ask. Once I got home, I tried calling Hilton corporate and my credit card company. Hilton had a case number for me and phone recordings of the Customer Service rep indicating and noting that it was canceled and not by me. My credit card kept trying to call AND email this location for an update on the double booking, but this location delayed their responses. Once they did, it was brief apparently. So whatever, I double booked at this location. Even though they have all the information from their own corporate system and my credit card company, they just iced me out towards a resolution. Yelp Review: DoubleTree by Hilton - 3 Stars. The hotel deserves 2 stars while the staff deserves five stars. Let me explain. I had high hopes for this DoubleTree, especially after hearing so much about their famous cookies. Check-in was smooth, and we were assigned Room 232. However, the experience quickly went downhill when we noticed ants--lots of them--crawling around the room. It was past 12:30 AM, and I called the front desk four times with no answer. Frustrated, I went to the lobby and met a friendly security guard, Mr. Rodriguez, who was also unsure where the front desk staff was. After a few minutes, Humberto, the front desk employee, appeared, explaining he'd been handling another issue. Understandable, but still inconvenient. I told him about the ants, and he promptly moved us to Room 251. I was hoping for an upgrade to make up for the hassle, but it was the same standard room. Humberto did offer us complimentary breakfast, which was a nice gesture. Dragging our bags to the new room after 1:30 AM was exhausting, especially with tired kids in tow. To our dismay, Room 251 also had ants! I called Humberto again, and to his credit, he quickly arranged another room, 261. He personally checked it for ants, which took some time, but we appreciated the effort. Unfortunately, it was another standard room--no upgrade. Room 261 was decent but had its own issues: no body soap in the dispenser and a clogged sink (hair and not from us) that required a maintenance call. How can housekeeping clean a room and not refill the dispensers? As for the famous DoubleTree cookie, it was a letdown. The cookies were hard, maybe because it was so late. The next day I gave the cookies another crack and wowzers they were good this time. I am a believer. The complimentary breakfast at Ventana was a highlight. The food was solid, and the restaurant staff were warm and attentive, with no complaints there. Overall, the staff was kind and tried to help, especially Humberto and Rodriguez. But the multiple room issues, ants, and maintenance problems were too much for one stay. Would I return? Probably not. I'm going to rate their catering food, not so much the hotel as I didn't stay there. I attended a party there and the food was amazingly good. I was surprised. The chicken and the salmon. Wow! I'm not a big salmon guy, but it was fresh, nit dried, and the flavor was so good. And the beef. Let's just say I came back for seconds and thirds. It was that good! Their salad was pretty good as well. Overall, the food was excellent. Don't let hotel food fool you. The chef here deserves a lot of credit! I hope my friend will host more parties here. My family and I have stayed here a couple times when we visit Disneyland. There is no charge for parking and they also have a complimentary shuttle to Disneyland which is a plus. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. We did have a problem on one visit when the shower stopped working after my daughter used it. I mean they greet you with a warm chocolate chip cookie! It's good & definitely got devoured. Who knew DoubleTree does this? Apparently I didn't & Ofc I got suckered in for that haha. Warning, it has nuts in it. DoubleTree Hilton in Buena Park was a good place for my son & I to relax & spend the night. I wanted us to get up early & start the day, without having to worry about LA & SD traffic getting to Disneyland. & not having to worry about parking at DLand too... I would of reserved for another night at DoubleTree after DLand, Bec for sure we were super tired. But, we both agreed that we needed to get back to our homes since we work the next afternoon. Cons: The bathroom in our room had a little stench, but it was bearable. I didn't have time to let them know. Not walking distance to the park. It's about a 15-20 min shuttle ride to DLand. We didn't utilize the pool or jacuzzi Bec there was a big group hanging out at the time. FYI's: Book thru Hilton to get your rewards. I booked thru a 3rd party (Capital One Travel) prepaid & got a discount. But, didn't get the Hilton rewards. Breakfast is not included, unless you booked w/ the breakfast option. When you check in, don't forget to get a parking pass, for each vehicle, for overnight parking... Big Parking Lot, but parking ended up being full by evening. Make a Reservation at reservation counter for DLand. There's also a phone number to text & make reservations. You have to choose pick up times for both Hotel Pick Up & Park Pick Up. Plenty of food options nearby & walking distance. There's also an outdoor mall across the street. Overall, had a good experience staying here. Great service from Kayla at the front desk. When I arrived, the Room 425 wasn't ready. I already checked in on the app and after a long day at work and driving in traffic, this was a huge disappointment. The room was clean but the toilet wasn't working and didn't flush and the shower drain wasn't attached back. The woman who checked us in didn't know that I was a Diamond member and said I had to choose either points or dining credit. Then I was given another room 309 which was a downgrade from what I paid for. The towels in the room were dirty and covered in grass. The room wasn't as comfortable. I was glad Heriberto gave us another room and gave us free breakfast vouchers the next day but was disappointed that the restaurant wouldn't let me order takeout for my 15 month old son and said I had to dine in to get food for him comped but was able to order food for myself and my boyfriend free of charge per the voucher (and Heriberto reassured me that I could order anything for my son which the lady at the restaurant didn't honor). Doesn't make any sense especially since they were sick and didn't want to come downstairs to eat. The milk in the grab and go market was also spoiled and gave my son diarrhea. I'm not sure if I want to come back. This was the worst experience I've had at a Hilton property and no one looked happy working here. At least parking was free. read more

My review is for the the rental event space we had a bad experience with the event staff on the date of our event. Jose and Esteban are rude and unprofessional. They accused my guests of bringing in alcohol only because they noticed a guest bring in a black bag. After checking the contents of the bag it was a small cooler for the guests baby formula. Threatening to shut down my event if anyone brought in outside alcohol they claimed I had "2strikes" but never showed me any proof! I asked to dim lighting they reluctantly did and I had to continuously ask because someone from their staff would repeatedly turn light back to bright! It was as if all they were doing was checking every one coming in and out mind you the restrooms were outside the event room and this was for a family reunion we had kids and elderly guests that don't drink alcohol. Once my event was coming to an end the DJ informed me the event was coming to an end So I asked him to play the last song after a minute or so Esteban ran out and demanded that the music be shut down It was not even a minute past midnight when my event was to be over Anyway the whole experience was horrible! read more

Wow, walking up and in really took me back. This place is noce and clean. With a pleasant and helpful team! Tommy, the Assistant Manager, was incredibly kind, like overachiever status here. If the clean atmosphere wasn't enough to win us over, Tommy was! The bell desk was super helpful and offers a shuttle service The Starbucks coffee shop was great and even comped me with a small black coffee, super kind. Thankyou. The pool is being done, and the room is spotless, I didn't even have to break out my lysol wipes. I noticed a dining area downstairs I thought they offered a free breakfast but I believe upon some investigation. That you pay for breakfast I will add a picture of the price menu. It looked like a clean, small little dinner. There is a food place next door. I think I'll try it for dinner tonight. Target and Knotts are walking distance if you are not afraid of a couple miles. I was upgraded to a junior "suite" which essentially is just two rooms put together which I do appreciate however I feel it's a bit of misnomer as in my mind a "suite" has a wall separating the living area from the bedroom, but I digress. Overall, it was a decent stay. The room is updated with some minor signs of wear but more importantly, it was clean. A bit of unique feature is that there were two AC systems. In the hot summer, I can imagine this is helpful. The hotel is directly across from the Source mall, and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Parking is free which is a very nice bonus. The gym is pretty basic but if you are creative, you can get a workout in. My only disappointment was the front desk which wasn't the most friendly. I ended up texting to get what I needed, and they were kind enough to allow a late checkout so I could complete a conference call. Overall I would recommend although there is another Hilton hotel in the area so you could compare the two. read more

Decided to go to SoCal for a quick mini stay for Labor Day weekend at the Doubletree . I've seen this hotel many times as we have family close by but it was run down before. I am glad it has been updated. Not sure when but our stay was good. Staff at the front desk were all friendly. Our room didn't have a microwave so we rented one for $10 a night I barely used but just wanted for convenience. At first, it didn't work but the maintenance guy fixed it as it was a plug issue. Nice standard rooms Bathrooms had a hairdryer and as well as lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel for your use. Enough towels, too. Very spacious. Clean rugs. Good size queen beds but rough sheets and too soft pillows. The comforter seems way too thin to be a good blanket. Nice there is a vanity mirror and long mirror to use. Good size LG TV. Lots of plugs to use. Wifi worked. AC worked a little to well! Hahaha We didn't get to use the pool. It was way crowded even the hot tub. It was actually foaming meaning it needs more chlorine solution or it's really dirty. Our check out was smooth. Oh and there is a Starbucks by the lobby for your convenience. I'm very disappointed with this location and I've been a Hilton members for very long time I requested a royal and once I got there, they said that room was not available so they put me in a different room. The different room had no shampoo and no body soap. I was already irritated. I called and complain and all they said it was there sorry about that situation and nothing else. read more

Stayed overnight for a quick trip to Oogie Boogie Bash. The one star is for the shuttle drivers Cynthia and Tony who were all around awesome. The front end staff wasn't friendly nor upfront when I made phone calls to ask if we could be accommodated earlier than 3pm. Each call I was given various answers and told to call back. The room was clean however the real discovery came the morning of check out. We stayed out until midnight and were exhausted once back at the hotel. We initially fell asleep and were woken up by neighbors who'd returned from somewhere sometime after 1:30am. After that the night was rough as the sound of the constant traffic echoed into the room. We woke up to get ready for our morning flight only to find that the shower did not warm up and at that point we needed to just get ready and out. The water pressure was horrible as well. Upon check out the front end staff was informed of the horrible night and I was told you should've called us. Umm...maybe be upfront and just leave earplugs in the room? Also, no real sorry or anything when mentioning water pressure and cold showers. I informed the front desk clerk a manager should contact me as I was very unhappy. She informed me that she'd let them know and took down my room number. While the price is decent be sure to check out that the water pressure is good and the water actually warms up. Also, get the earplugs because you'll need them! read more

The earliest check-in time is 2 PM, which may be inconvenient for travelers arriving earlier. More importantly, I want to caution families with allergies or special dietary/medical needs to think twice before booking here. Despite providing a doctor's note, my request for a microwave due to medical necessity was denied. I was told to use the shared microwave on the first floor, only to find out it wasn't working. We also tried dining at the on-site restaurant, but were told by staff that they do not and cannot accommodate allergies -- we were simply advised to order directly from the menu as is. This is deeply concerning and not the level of flexibility or care I expected from a Hilton property. To top it off, I asked for coffee pods for the in-room machine, but was only given cups and creamer -- no actual pods. This is, hands down, the only Hilton I've stayed at that doesn't offer basic accommodations like an in-room microwave or make any effort to support guests with legitimate medical needs. I'm truly dissatisfied with my stay and regret choosing this location. read more

This is a very solid newly refurbished Doubletree (2023) in Buena Park pretty close to both Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland. The room size is good, lots of outlets/plugs and it has a smart TV which less common in the Hilton Brand it seems. The hotel itself has an OK restaurant attached and it can be a bit sprawling if you are in the back building. The parking lot is big and doesn't seem to fill up even during peak times. The Knott's shuttle seems to be inconsistent with timing so I would recomend planning to Uber - it should be cheap. Service was good and the hotel was very clean. read more

We were visiting Disneyland and decided to stay here because there's a free shuttle service that takes you directly to Disney. This was great. We texted the reservation number the night before and the shuttle arrived on time the next day. We skipped the parking lot madness at Disney completely! Heading back though, the shuttle was 20 minutes late so plan for extra time if you plan on doing things after the park. At check in, we were given warm chocolate chip cookies with nuts which were yummy. We found parking close to our room entrance every night and the room was clean. We were on the first floor so we had a nice patio with some seatings. Only negative was we called ahead of time and arrived early to ensure we get a king size bed. They didn't honor this and gave us 2 queens anyway. A crib was available for free. They made it up by giving us 2 complimentary breakfast vouchers. We got breakfast burritos at their restaurant and they were delicious. It's a little bit away from Disney but it's a great location. Lots of restaurants nearby including Porto's. If you have little ones under 10, Playpie indoor playground is located across the street and entertained our almost 3 year old and us for hours. We would definitely stay again. read more

I couldn't take a shower since dirty water backed up in the tub. Apparently I was on the loud side of the building as well. When I called to try and let them know so maintenance could fix it, I stopped trying after 3 calls that literally went nowhere. Twice the call was disconnected and once the representative put me on hold forever to return and insist that I called to sign up for their rewards. Do better please. This is not good hospitality. read more

I just stayed there for 3 nights. I typically stay at Marriott properties as they have served me well. My daughter and her husband picked this hotel so I agreed. They had a separate room facing the pool and said it was very noisy late at night. My room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the property was clean. The reason I would never stay here again was because of the showers. I call them trickle showers. They must have flow restrictors in there showers as there was no pressure hardly as all. I don't need a showers with a ton of pressure but this was ridiculous. If you can't get a decent shower then why stay there. Back to my trusty Marriott property! Thought Hilton properties were batter than this! I joined the Hilton Rewards program but won't be using that again! read more

Today, we checked into this hotel. The lobby and rooms are nice and the front desk staff is friendly. We chose this hotel because of how close it is to Knott's Berry Farm and the shuttle service they provide . My rating is not based on the room, but the frustrating experience with their shuttle offering. Be warned that their shuttle service is on their schedule and not based on the needs of the guests. You must reserve in advance (which is absolutely reasonable) and then you are provided times that they have already scheduled to take you and pick you up. We decided to pay for a car service instead as we had reservations to arrive for an event at a specific time that they could not accommodate. Ultimately, this is a fine hotel but the frustrations of offering amenities that don't deliver would have made me choose another hotel if I would have known. read more
