Our request was a bit unconventional; we had all the granite in a handful of pieces already and needed help cutting, joining and polishing edges. We wanted to have this done at our home because we had limited pieces, they fit our counter space only one way (sides weren't same length/depth), and were afraid if done in a shop there would be a high chance for a mis-cut, and we'd be SOL. A handful of companies seemed confused and didn't like that we wouldn't be purchasing the material through them. Most also refused to do it outside of the shop, given the dust and lack of transferable equipment. George, however, although weary of the dust as well, came to the house to check everything out and agreed to do it at our home with my husband's help. Just the two of them, we bought the appropriate masks/filters they spent every bit of 12 hours working their tails off. George was extremely focused on quality, emphasizing the importance he places on the details, down to matching the filler color as close to the granite as possible. This is a man with incredible work ethic, and appreciation for kind people. He was grateful for my husband's help for the duration of the project. We couldn't be happier with how our kitchen turned out and can't recommend George enough! He will definitely be our go-to guy for our future home needs. I told the owner this is the worst contractor in the La Crosse area, and I can stand by that…read more I wanted a vanity countertop, got a referral to this place from an awesome contractor in the area, read the good Google reviews, visited the place, picked out my countertop, got a price, and was told just call or text when you're read. All good. I tried to place my order by contacting the business. Over a few weeks, I called, texted, FB messaged. One of the phone calls worked, and I talked to the owner about the cabinet measurements, the adjustment needed for the countertop, the sink shape, the back and side splash, faucet holes, price (he forgot what he'd previously quoted), paid, and got a delivery date. He claimed he hadn't received my FB or text messages. The day after the delivery date, he hadn't cut the countertop. The next day, he claimed he had to recut it because I gave him faulty measurements -- which is literally unbelievable as we had discussed the cabinet vs countertop measurements and he kept getting cabinet measurement when he asked. When the countertop was ready, no side splash, wrong sink shape. By then, I'd communicated my worst contractor award to him, so he said I have to pay him a $200 "recut" fee, then he'll give me the side splash. To quote Yelp!, "Eek! Methinks not."

My review might seem confusing, as it has several separate parts to it…read more The first part was visiting the showroom, looking at samples, working with the sales staff and their coming to measure to the house to measure. The second part was the installation. The crew started with installing the counters and sinks in the bathrooms. Next they began working on the kitchen. During the installation, the installer received a phone call that his wife began ill and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He took the time to make sure the plumbing connections could be made, so we wouldn't be left with a kitchen that couldn't be used before he left. Part 3, Codi the installation manager came to expertly put the final touches on the install. The counters look beautiful. In the end, the counters and sinks in the bathrooms and kitchen look great and most importantly the installers wife is on the mend. We would recommend Stone Innovations for your counter/remodeling needs.
