Our project involved an outdoor kitchen in the Madison area. We shopped around and found George on-line. Even though his business was based in Chicago, the website indicated he worked in the Madison area so we decided to give a call. George was incredibly responsive, both over the phone and via text. After sharing with George a drawing he gave a budgetary quote and comparatively it was a very good value - almost to the point where I was a bit skeptical. That said, after reading some other reviews we decided to give it a go. What was unique about this experience vs. prior granite projects we've done is that we got to go to the warehouses in Chicago to pick out our exact slap. George gave us several locations we could look at, and we made the trip and found some options. In fact, it is like option overload compared to what is available locally in Madison. While talking with George in person when he came to measure he gave some more pointers on colors and what to look for and watch out for. Side note - He talked us into a lighter color being outside and we are so happy he did. With the measurement done we were able to head back to the warehouses and pick out our exact slab, and even arrange the pattern of the slab how we wanted it in the final layout. Install day was a Saturday, after dodging some raindrops some previous days. George and his partner showed up and in about 4 hours had all the pieces installed. I didn't even think about it, but they put a slight slope to the countertops to allow water to drip off since they were outside. The also did a 2.5" overhang to keep water off of the cabinet fronts. Oh, and when they sealed the countertop they also sealed all of my indoor tops. Overall an awesome experience with George, we couldn't be happier. The fit and finish of the countertops is top notch, they are very conscientious and diligent from when they first come to measure, to when they install, to when they clean up after themselves. On one of the properties they did for us, we wanted a very large single slab on an island and it was an air tight fit in the freight elevator for the building. They measured very carefully and were confident they could make it work but needed to enlist two more men to lift the enormous slab and get it into the condo. It was a real slog the day they came to install. It truly was air tight. I honestly think most crews would have just lied and said it wouldn't fit, it has to be two pieces but these guys really wanted to do it as a single seamless piece even though it was a lot more work that way. Well, it looks fantastic. We were so happy, we asked them to come do our other property and had an equally positive experience. We will also use this guys going forward for all our stone and countertop needs. They are honest, hardworking, and a pleasure to do business with. read more

After searching the internet for granite companies covering my suburb in yelp I found Chicago Granite Company. I sent an inquiry from the website and quickly received an email from George with the estimate of pricing based on the square footage I provided. The pricing was better than I expected. Following this I went to one of the two warehouses that they work with to pick out the granite (many options, much more than listed online, so I really enjoyed the experience of picking out the granite). Following narrowing down my options, we had Robert and George come for measurements. Following the measurements the granite was installed 2 weeks following within the 2 hour time frame provided. In the end I chose to go with Chicago Granite Company not only because they gave me the best price on New Venetian Gold kitchen counter top but I also liked how professional they were. The job they did was absolutely amazing! They met my expectations 100% and helped me to get my dream kitchen. 3 years later the counter top still looks brand new. George from JD Touch did an AMAZING job on our granite countertops in our kitchen and utility room at our cabin at Pleasant Lake. He came out as soon as we called him to give us an estimate and some ideas on what we could do, his pricing was fair, and he was on time and in constant communication regarding the project. From our initial meeting to installation we were finished in less than a month. George was meticulous and pays very close attention to detail. We even had a piece leftover from our granite slab so he worked with us to use it in our utility room so it didn't go to waste. This was the easiest remodel I have ever done in my life. I don't really enjoy talking on the phone, and George was very responsive and would e-mail me back within a few hours or less. When Robert and George came to do a true measurement they were able to turn around and install my granite countertops in less than a week. He met us at a time that was convenient for us, let us pick the quartz we wanted installed and within 10 days it was done! Also, when I first contacted him, he was able to meet within 12 hours.
