If I could give this place a 0 I would. My mom, 3yr old and I went for manis, pedis and dip and it was a terrible experience. First they were mean to my 3yr old and kept pulling hard on her little arms. Her mani and pedi was over $75 for a 3 yr old which was ridiculous. In Texas I normally pay $35 for really nice nail place that is so sweet to my child. Next the lady put the wrong color dip on my nails and wouldn't redo the one nail when I told her that the dip she got wasn't what I chose. They were extremely rough and I don't think anyone smiled. Also the dip doesn't even cover my whole nail. It was truly the worst mani/pedi I have ever had and not a fun, relaxing experience that we hoped for. We will never go there again. Plus they raised their prices and they are now outrageous. read more

*First time walk-in* ***DOES NOT SANITIZE TOOLS*** Didn't see one sanitary step done at any point in the process. This place is an absolute mess. I went in about a month ago and sat with the OWNER (Kim?). Expecting an amazing job from the person who opened and owns a nail salon. Boy, did the owner prove me wrong. Firstly, SIX of my nails fell off within 24hrs! Of course she said "this never happens" but I beg to differ. I was a walk in and she didn't put any time into my nails. She drilled my nails and didn't wipe the dust off or make me was my hands, which amateurs know how to do! Secondly, she didn't take ANY of what I wanted into consideration. I asked for an orange color and she said "no, this one looks better on your skin", then I told her to straighten the lines and she said "they look kind of good messy". Like who doesn't do what their customer wants?? Thirdly, she had the audacity to ask what I was doing to make them all fall off like it's my fault and not her lack of expertise. We had an entire argument about how much brick and mortar shops are charging for caca nails these days and then proceeded to give me caca nails for $94. I called them the next morning and asked them if I could come back and get my money back. Whoever was on the phone said yes, I came in and get a refund. When I got there the owner wanted to argue with me in front of her entire salon full of customers that "she worked really hard on those nails" (I was in that salon less than an hour) and "they don't do refunds". Like I didn't work really hard on the $94 I gave her!!!! The absolute ignorance and audacity not to own up to her mistake is appalling. I WAS BASICALLY GIVEN $94 PRESS ON NAILS!!! Avoid this place like the plague. There's a reason there's three stars. Look at reviews before you walk into places. I don't know how this place got a license to do business, but New Mexico will literally hand out licenses to nail techs and tattoo artists like their candy. You're better off getting your nails done by someone on Instagram because they do a much better job than nail days, these days. RUDE AND MEAN TO MY 6 year old daughter on her birthday. the lady was so mean and scoffed rolled her eyes and gave dirty looks to my daughter for everything, from the colors she picked to asking the lady questions. it was awful to see my distant treated that way and I did say something but the lady would not respond to me or look me in the eye. the other staff did nothing to help or intervene in the woman treating my daughter so bad. it was my go to place until this incident and I will never ever go back and I will advise everyone else to go elsewhere. read more

I went here two weeks ago to get an acrylic set. First two days they stayed great. Then 3 days after getting them done, two broke in half. Keep in mind, they broke while folding laundry. I came in to get those two fixed and paid 5$. Then not even 3 hours later, they broke again. I came in to get a refund for both services and was refused and yelled at. It's important to know who the skilled nail techs are in a nail salon. It's usually the owner and this person is usually by appointment only. With that said, walk-ins BEWARE!! As a walk-in client, I experienced the worst dip manicure and pedicure at this salon. Here are the details: the nail tech was watching a soccer game on his phone pretty much the whole service. He was Completely distracted and unprofessional/rude. He kept stopping my service to watch the game. If he had been able to watch the game and give me good service, it would have not been a problem. But not only did he make my toe bleed from lack of attention to what he was doing but he also got my nail dip color WRONG. My hand nails were the wrong color and my toes nail was injured. Never going back. I do not recommend this salon. Side note: nail dip looks like crap. read more

This was our go to salon until 1/23/22, not sure if there are new owners...I walked in about 2:45p, no one greeted me which was very odd, I stood there for a hot minute and watched this woman walk from the back, come up to me without saying anything, and so I said, gel pedicure please, to which she slightly turned her body and said, well, we're pretty busy right now (they weren't) and I replied, what does that mean? She said, can you come back tomorrow? So I said, no, I'll go somewhere else. About 10 years of doing business with them just screeched to a halt. The worst experience I have had. The lady was very rough with my nails, filed them down so much that the nailbeds were hurting for several days, and now my nails are fragile and breaking easily. I hated my nail, went there because walk ins were welcome, my nails looked a mess, acrylic was super thin and they didn't even covered the whole nail, there was some empty spots which looked awful, not the size I wanted. When I started seeing the final result, I just wanted to get out of there. And please lets not talk about the price. $100 dolars for some short, ugly, poorly done stiletto nails!? I think its way too over priced. I can do way better nails myself, for free size I want and no empty spots on the side. Went in Tuesday for gellish mani, reg pedi. She kept forgetting the gellish color number. I ended up with bright instead of Fall color. She kept messing up, having to wipe nail clean and start over. Freezing as heater was broken. next day realized a few were noticeably bad. Went back Sat, day off. Too long of a wait. Woman then man fixed pedi, but he called me to mani station with naked feet. I Told lady and younger man doing nails next to me that he didn't give me Sandles. No one cared. No help. I had to put my naked foot on their filthy floor. IT was Frozen. with no heat that week! I tip tied to the man. Sat, lifted my feet in the air, holding them up while he fixed the middle finger. Rude. He walked off, so I moved my float g feet to the space heater, then something blew. Owner lady had to go trip breaker. My toe bumped, messing up polish. Man got mad saying,"What Did you do?" Again I said, I didn't get disposable flip flops, floor is freezing." Normally I am incredibly patient when it comes to waiting because normally the wait is 20 minutes. I came in today and they had me sit in the pedicure chair for over an hour before they even started on my nails because they kept having people walk in who wanted more expensive services done. Once they started it was a poorly done pedicure and manicure that I am sure will be off in a week. Best nail salon in Albuquerque! Reasonable prices, great service, sweet techs, and VERY CLEAN. I've come here before with my 2.5yo daughter, and the technicians are SO sweet to her, and patient as they help with my little girl and have done her little nails as well. They do amazing pedicures, and I absolutely love the SNS dip nails that my best friend and I just had done! It's a very enjoyable environment. Awful experience!! The nail tech didn't clean or sanitize the tools and gave me fungus under finger and toe nails! After bringing this to their attention the male owner became aggressive and bullied me throughout the time I paid him to do a manicure and pedicure as I requested help to know how to cure this. He blamed this on me and said I had this before even though I have only used this salon for the past six years. Awful service, poor customer service and blaming a customer for nail fungus that can only be acquired through infected tools. Definitely making complaint with the Licensing and Regulations Board of New Mexico! Everyone should be aware of this salon and steer clear of nail techs who are not practicing protocols for sanitation to prevent infecting others with nail fungus. Customer Beware! read more

Every time I go into Elegant Spa and Nails, I get the VIP treatment. I never feel like the nail tech is rushing to get to the next customer. My daughter and I went in on Friday 4/19 ( Good Friday) @ 1:30pm it was busy when we walked in but we both wanted our nails done. We eneded up getting a pedicure, Manicure and eye brow wax. I adore this place, Mani Pedi is 40 and they are all so nice! The chairs are massage, it's pretty quite and relaxing and they have a good selection of higher end nail polishes like Opi and gel nail colors. I get gel and they stay for weeks! As a college strident, when I get my nails done- it's always a treat. I go every few months and since I've moved to this side of town I've been trying out he different places in the neighborhood. Anyway, I came here for a basic mani- it's the start of a new semester and my nails were looking rough! I just wanted a little refresh for my hands. While I was here, less than 30 mins, they tried to upsell me 4 times. The first was with gel (after I told her I can have color on my nails because of work), the second was after I was already in the chair and was asked again if all I wanted was a mani. Ok, fine. Third was when I was asked if I wanted a brow wax as she leaned in to inspect my face and tell me I have "a lot of hair." I told her no because it's 3 pm and I'm going to school and don't want Red/oily brows. The last time, was right before she actually finished and asked once again if I wanted my brows done. The salon itself is beautiful and my nails came out fine. This may be an exception to the usual service but it's my first time here and that what happened!
