I cannot believe what this woman did to my little dog. What bothers me most is I went to visit her a week prior to my taking my dog there. I wanted a groomer closer to home, this place is right around the corner from where I live. I have a Yorkie, who looked like a Yorkie when I brought her there. This woman not only injured my dog but didn't follow any directions and chopped my yorkie so she looked like I don't even know what. I wish I could post a picture for you to see what she did to my baby.
First: During the interview visit we discussed trimming her body and her legs, leaving her face "the Yorkie" look that she had, cutting her nails and emptying her anal gland. We made an appt for the following Friday. I mentioned to her that I had to bring Bella in the AM because I had to pick her up, take her home and get to an appointment in Middleton by 4PM ... I explained that 114 has a lot of traffic and I didn't want to be late for my appointment.
Second: I dropped Bella off at 10:25AM on Friday, April 20, 2012; we reviewed everything we discussed, the week before, keeping the yorkie face long, trimming the body, although my yorkie has leggings, I told her I didn't mind if they were shorter for the summer. But I reiterated that I only wanted her to trim her face area, I wanted to keep her yorkie look. We discussed trimming her nails, emptying her anal gland, she said she brushed teeth, so I said fine she could do her teeth too. I do it twice a week but one more time certainly is not going to hurt. I truly wish I could show you pictures of what she did. She told me to come back at 3PM. I reminded her that it could not be any later than that because like I mentioned last week I had an appt in Middleton with my granddaughter and we had to be there by 4PM.
At 2:30 I called to see if Bella was ready, she said no, I repeated that my granddaughter and I had an appt. she said Bella would be ready. Well we arrived at The "not so" Ellegant Paw, to find a very large white dog barking incessantly, my Bella was on the table, the woman, (I can't even remember her name, I think I blocked it because every time I think of her I get sick to my stomach), told us to sit down. The door to the place was open to a busy parking lot with a man sweeping the sidewalk and all the dirt was coming into the waiting area.
I looked through the glass window and I see my little yorkie, chopped up like a boy, all her yorkie look was gone. The woman said that Bella was not ready, I told her I had to take her the way she was. She said she was sorry that she was alone all day, the big dog is barking like crazy, she tells me that it is her dog and she is barking because she is jealous that she is paying attention to another dog. If your dog is a jealous type, why are you working on another dog right under her nose. She let my little Bella jump off the table, Bella went rigid, her front legs were not moving, and this woman wanted to take her out to the parking lot to see if she could walk there. Why would you want to take a frightened injured dog out to an open parking lot where she could bolt out of fear and possibly get hit by a car. This is a sheltered house dog, who only plays in a fenced in yard, or at a small dog park that is fenced in or at the beach on a leash. SHE DOES NOT GO NEAR PARKING LOTS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
I rush my dog to the vet to find out that she had bruises on both sides of her hind quarters, so she either jumped or fell off the grooming table twice or was grabbed by the groomer so hard that she was bruised.
My little dog is an approved therapy dog, she is a little sweetheart and loves everyone, she is wonderful around children and other dogs, there is not a mean bone in her body, everyone this baby has been in contact with loves her and she loves everyone.
This woman asked me to call her and let her know what happened to Bella, I was so upset that I wrote something out and read it to her answering service, she was not even honorable enough to call back and see how Bella was. I read what happened into her answering service because if I spoke to her on the phone and she said something out of the way I probably would not have been so civil. I will post what I read so you don't think I was rude. I was not.
My poor little dog had been through so much after her visit to The "NOT SO" Elegant Paw and the vet, that I did not return to the vet again until today. This woman did nothing but chop my poor little girl into looking like a boy all uneven, SHE DID NOT, Trim her claws or empty her anal gland, so I am assuming she did not brush her teeth. The only thing I can say is that she did not take the money for her terrible job.
