Before the appointment I received…read morean email saying to be on time (understandable) and that I could be charged late fee of 15$ if I'm 5 minutes late. The email also said to text/call Jezrell once arrived outside the building because all doors are locked. I arrived ten minutes early and texted Jezrell but she didn't answer. I figured she was busy with another client especially since I was early so I waited. I called 5 minutes after my appointment but again no answer. I ended up waiting 25 more minutes and I did not know how much longer I had to wait so I just left. I think I would have waited longer if someone had texted back giving me a time frame of when I can go in or if I didn't have to wait in my car in an empty parking lot. It was only after I left Jezrell texted me back and apologized. This was only my first time so I don't know if they are always like this. It might have just been my luck. But if this happen quite often I don't think it's fair to charge the customer a late fee for being only 5 minutes late. I do appreciate that Jezrell texted me back afterwards, apologized and offered to reschedule. But I'm going to try other places first before coming back to this one.

She kept talking condescending with rude comments several times, for example: when I needed to use the restroom, she went ballistic because I washed my hands without asking, while she was busy with another consult (while waiting.) Well, why can't I wash my hands in what I thought was a "customer bathroom???!!" She eventually calmed down & was nice. (But too late for me, with that BS.) She's extremely moody! (seemingly severe mood swings) I felt so sorry for my friend that I told her I would not trust Dina no matter what her skills are. Dina is pregnant & her emotional state is not normal/intact/consistent. She's all over the place!!! She is very rude, disconnected of others' feelings, & pregnant people with mood swings should not be dealing with customers at any place of business. ! My best friend was willing to spend $1250 at a later date for lips, $750 brows, & $750 eyeliner that day!!! She lost a great customer who would have recommended everyone we knew in Metairie, old Metairie, lakeside, & uptown to her. I hope she gets better after her baby arrives, or her business is doomed. I would NOT recommend Dina AT ALL. I hope it's the pregnancy & not a permanent state of mind she is in.

They do eyebrows as well so make sure to book that when you come. They will take walk-ins when they can but I recommend calling since they can be booked up. When you come, try to swing by "Dawn's sweets" a few doors down for some delicious baked goods. There's also a really awesome snowball stand across the street "Mrs. V's" that stays open until 7pm some days. AND Jackson Park right up the street with a splash pad for kids. Grab a quick bite at subway across the street or Sammy's Grill around the corner.
