Boy these reviews are brutal! I go regularly for gel nails and they're always friendly and nice. You just have to find the one whose work you like. Love the pedicure chairs, and they always do a good job. If you don't like the work of one tell them to get another. read more

They burnt off my upper eyebrow during a wax ( I also have delicate skin so not sure if that was the real reason), i didn't even ask for a refund but when called cause it got bad two days later the owner hung up on me as I was explaining what happened. read more

Cut me twice during a pedicure with a Dremel bit. No discount from the managment after the worker made managment aware of the injury they caused to me after the second time the Dremel bit ran off my toe drawing blood both times. I didn't have to ask the young worker to report it to their higher up but they went to the back to let the lady know and she came out and looked at my feet, which were bleeding, and said "all good" and didn't offer a discount. Two days later the bottom of my feet were peeling, and cuticle work wasn't completed well... Won't be returning. read more

I was given 2 gift certificates for this salon. Unfortunately it was the worst "manicure" if you even want to call it that- that I have ever had. I booked an appointment- however when I showed up - the reception was as if I had not; as they were unprepared and unprofessional. The female owner -fit- me in. She was so distracted the whole time. Rushed experience, she even said it was "hard" for her to do services and keep on track for other responsibilities. I wish I had not given her a $10 tip- because when I got outside and was in natural light and able to see properly- I could see the mess. The cuticles were ripped up terribly. It looked similar to somebody who bites their nails. The nail polish had not been taken up to the cuticle. It almost looks like it had already had five days growth after having the manicure. Perhaps half a millimetre away from the cuticle, you can see where she did not apply enough nail polish because it was opaque. I have actually waited a few weeks to post this because I was frustrated with myself for not going back to have them fix the mess, and questioning myself, if it is even worth posting a review because I won't be back... But I figured I might as well save somebody else, the money or perhaps it was just a bad experience for me. The second gift certificate I had I didn't bother getting a manicure. I got a colour change because I was too afraid I would walk out with the same mess. I would not recommend. read more

Had a gift card or I never would have gone there. Got a pedicure and they didn't even file my heels down. I was in and out in 30 min including getting gel polish on. This place is really terrible read more

They always fit us in and are very nice. They do an excellent job with our pedis! It is a clean, professional nail salon.

Went in for a simple hand nail polish. Nail tech had me sit at a visibly dirty nail station from previous patron. Had to ask her to put a clean towel down. Then she grabbed the dirty nail supplies she just used on previous patrons nails and began using them in my nails. (File, buffer, trimmers). Will NEVER go here again. Disgusting read more

This place doesn't even deserve one star. The old lady that works the counter is very rude and pushy. They all couldn't care less how their customers feel. I asked for regular acrylic nails and somehow still ended up with gel nails that of course I had to pay extra money for so that's how they'll scam you. My nails are bumpy and not cut evenly, it's like someone cut them with a blindfold. They are so thick and disgusting that I don't anticipate them lasting more than a week which is total crap for how much they charge there. The lady that dealt with my nails was very fast, but that doesn't matter if you're gonna do garbage work and then charge me for it. On top of all that she cut one of my fingers with I don't even know what, and after reading some of the reviews about questionable cleanliness, I'm worried I'm gonna get an infection. This place sucks, you can get better service and a better product elsewhere. Do your research, I unfortunately went here with my mom on a whim just walking around the mall, and my gut instinct told me to leave right away, and I should have. What an absolute waste of money! read more

STAY AWAY!! I have given this place multiple chances and have been pretty disappointed the last 3 times! I stupidly decided to go and give them one more chance. The nail tech kept hitting my skin she made me bleed in 3 places, she said "sorry been a long day". Within 24 hrs my nails were peeling, when I went back to show the manager she said she would just put another top coat on. When I expressed concern about the facility, the staff and the actual nail set she got very defensive. I asked for a refund and said I would not be back. She basically yelled at me that they did nothing wrong and the don't give refunds. "We are never wrong" she kept yelling. Eventually I told her I checked with another place who said it would cost $10 to fix it. She then threw $10 at me and said she had more than enough costumers. Truly disgusted by her costumer service and would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I took my 14 year old daughter to Elegance Nails in Langford and received terrible service and received poor workmanship for the value paid and time spent. They said the wait was 5-10 minutes however she waited for half an hour to be seen. (She could have waited longer if I did not come back to see that she was started on) The workmanship was poor and the $50 paid and time spent in this nail salon was not worth it. I wouldn't come back here and would not recommend it to anyone. If given a choice this place would deserve 0 stars. Please be accountable for the time you approximate and at the very least, please do good work that is worth paying for. read more

I absolutely hated Elegance Nails too. The young woman I had was physically rough and disrespectful in that she spent the entire time she was doing my pedi gossiping to another worker in Vietnamese. I was asked to pay before the mani because they would be closing before my nails would be dry. When I didn't tip they realized I was NOT impressed so I got a different woman for my mani. HOWEVER I spent the whole time TRYING to distract the poor woman who ended up with my technician because she was causing HER a GREAT deal of discomfort too. I would NEVER go back. They were ridiculously BAD. read more

RUN FAR FROM HERE...WARNING Ive been going here for a while. Today is my last day, as i booked a 2 hr apt eith the girl to see owner "Ha" to get old acrylic nails off & french manicure with new tips. Well...she tried to talk me out of it. Then got upset. I told her thats what i booked, in detail. Then i asked for thicker nails. She got upset & then began the chatting in chinese to others. Upon my 9th nail, she told me they will probably pop off theyre too long. I asked, pls file them shorter, you didnt tell me they'd break when you applied the tips (active length) she said " OH GOD!!!" then spoke to someone else, very angry & cut me 2x as she filed, i began bleeding down my finget & asked her to pls stop & put alcohol on. She was livid. Then the hel coat. I akways have 2 coats. Im a soap maker. She said, " no time, 1 coat. I said Ha, i always have 2, thats what i booked, thats what id like pls. Thankyou Ha I was rushed to the counter, everyone syairing at me like i was garbage & last month i defended her to a very po'd customer. Im never going back. Rude & cutting me? Never ever again. read more

Run from this place! It doesn't even deserve to get ONE star. I went in for a mani and pedi. Asian lady in a very thick accent began telling me how her 4 year old has cancer and how expensive the treatments are and how tough it is to make ends meet and she didn't know what she would do if she didn't get tips etc. First, in CANADA we don't pay for cancer treatments honey. Second: how DARE you make up such a horrid story when there are people out there who actually have children with cancer???? Your disgusting attempt at manipulating people into tipping you resulted in getting no tip from me. And even if the story were true, why would you tell it in a spa??? People go there for relief from stress/worry, not to be burdened by more! How was the mani? I could have done it myself. Nothing special and the polish was peeling 2 days later. The pedi? I wound up with nail fungus on my right big toe!!!! When I asked my Dr how could I get fungus on my toe he asked if I had gone to get my nails done somewhere and they were the only place I had been. The last time I got one was over 5 years ago so bingo!!! Disgusting, filthy place. I should have known when I went in on a Saturday and the place was dead. I guess everyone knows about this place but me. read more

I won't even give this place one star!! I got my nails done by the old lady which is the owner!! I asked 3 times to stop shorten them she cut me 3 times and burned me twice!!! Then my nails got so short and shaped so wrongs both hands looked so different from each other!! I asked her just to stop and take them off as they were ruined she said no then charged for a fill which I didn't even get them painted!!!! I paid full price for a fill and didn't even get my nails done and cut 3 times!! I went to the washroom to was my hands and there equipment is all on th bathroom floor!!! Gross I would stay far away and I will be calling health board and better business!!! read more

I am happy with my experience here! My mani-pedi was super cute and the staff were very nice. If I lived in Victoria I would go again. Don't be dismayed or swayed by Sara E.'s "review"! There are other plenty of caustic reviews presented by the critic herself: http://bit.ly/1N0N31z . No one goes unscathed, honey. But in "CANADA" people do have to pay for cancer treatments if they do not have provincial healthcare. That is sadly the case for somebody who has "a very thick accent" because he/she likely hasn't been working in the country long enough to qualify for health insurance. And yuck! Who wants to know about Sara's foot fungus? People use Yelp to gather useful information about businesses, not about a fungus on a big right toe. GROSS. Is this really fair to burden Yelpers with the stress/worry of someone's poor hygiene? But hey, at least Sara doesn't have to pay to go to her doctor and hopefully a gross little fungus is the worst she won't have to pay for. read more

I went in the nail salon to have some me time, while visiting Victoria to see my parents. I went in to get a mani and pedi as the girl was taking off my gel polish off my toes, she was taking it off with cuticle scissors (never seen it done like that before), I did not like it at all and was not happy, one of the other ladies that worked there said they girl doing my nails that she was not comfortable at all using the cordless nail drill to take it off, she didn't even soak the nails before taking then off, as she was on my last baby toe on my right foot she ripped off my whole toe nail and it started bleeding! I was so mad and upset, and of course it was bleeding. She did keep asking if I was ok and I said " Yea, But my toe really hurts and its sore". I even had tears in my eyes. Even getting my manicure done she applied the gel polish very poorly not evenly I got this done on Friday and it's peeling already, After it was all said and done, I went to go pay thinking that since my pinky toe was bleeding and she ripped off my toe nail that they would not charge me for this..... and they did! it came out to 73$ ( I got regular nail polish on my toes and only clear gel polish on my nails) I was upset and told them I shouldn't have to pay for it, that she ripped off my toe nail and it hurt, they were only going to give me 5$ off and I said that it? they took 10$ off which was better then nothing, so I took it, but overall I did not have a good experience at all at this nail salon and I'm not the type of person to write reviews at all I just wanted to share my experience and let others know. I do have to say that they girl doing my nails was very nice, and caring. But over all horrible experience, and bad customer service. I give this place 0 stars. read more

I visited Elegance Nails while i was waiting for family to finish with their work so i thought to treat myself. The atmosphere was cozy and staff was polite and friendly. Got a pedi done and i want to buy one of those chairs for my house lol. read more

I'm very disappointed in my manicure service today. It was very rushed and I even commented at the end of the service that I was worried the gel was a bit off. The gentleman commented it was fine and how it should look. It know this is not correct as I often get my nails done elsewhere. This was my first time at this location. The French tip is very ridgid and uneven. At a loss of $50 I will not be back to this location. read more

I've had gel nails done there a few times and they constantly break over the littlest thing and the amount of times I broke them casually typing on a keyboard was a nightmare. They constantly try to pressure you into extra things for a extra couple of bucks and struggle to take no for an answer. I have also had employees get lippy with me and be extremely aggressive with me over them not taking no for an answer. The last time I went however was enough to tell me I won't go back. I had gone in to get a completely new set and the lady who started doing my set was rushing like crazy. She repetitively sanded my fingers instead of my nail, cut my cuticles so far they bled and then when I tried to tell her it hurt and to stop she was forcefully holding my hand down! I nearly slugged her because she wouldn't let go of me! I complained to the manager at the end of it and got a measly 10$ off my set for my suffering. I came back in a couple days later since most of my nails had broken off or shattered and I even had visible infections from the previous girl aggressively sanding and cutting my fingers. They tried to convince me to buy another set at 10$ off again and I laughed at them. I told them to remove their crap nails and they wanted to charge me for that when their employee screwed up so badly. I ended up paying to remove them after they insisted, however the manager insisted on hovering over the new girl doing my nails. The new girl was horrified by what the last girl did to my nails and asked me if I remembered the girl's name. I told them I didn't but I told them what seat I was in, the time and the date. I then see the manager rush off into the back room, there was some yelling before the girl who messed up my nails previously rushed out of the back room and out the door. I assume she was fired and rightfully so but this doesn't make up for the fact that I paid for a set that lasted a couple of days, paid to remove them, had terribly thin and shredded nails on top of infections! Just save your money and go else where...I can't understand how they manage to stay in business. read more
