Our last round of flooring. I am officially carpet free! We brought Rivercity in once more and…read morescheduling was fairly fast. One day for drop-off of materials and the other day for installation. While the finished product is solid and I'm pleased, this experience lacked the polish of our first two installs. The "bummers" included the team arriving fairly late, almost 1-2 hrs than planned. Installation didn't finish in the one day we were scheduled. It took them 3 days and they weren't consecutive, so it took more like 3 weeks. The team didn't install pads on furniture, like the other installs, and it resulted in deeply scratched boards that had to be pulled up and replaced again. Thankfully we had extra material. The good that was appreciated included well cut corners for the kick board, took accountability for the scratches and fixed without a fight, and agreed to install a very small piece of footboard we didn't originally have in place. Note: pay by check to avoid any credit card fees. My husband paid the deposit with a credit card, which I asked him not to do, so they credited the card and let me pay the full amount by check. If you're considering flooring I do recommend you call them. We have gotten quotes easily and quickly, which is the first step in project planning. Knowing what to budget is half the battle.

The entire purchase experience was positive from our initial meeting, reviewing samples, choosing a tile to the final installation w/ quarter round trim. Their selections of cork flooring were outstanding and we were able to exactly match the style of cork installed throughout our home. It looks like it's always been here - perfect match! The entire staff at Premier was pleasant to work with and kept us informed every step of the way. Everything was delivered and installed on the days they initially scheduled. No slippage! I recommend Premier Carpets and More and suggest you give them strong consideration before making a floor covering purchase from another company. Specifically, we brought in Nailed It Contracting to replace and paint the kitchen ceiling (after we had taken down the nasty '80s-era drop ceiling that was concealing old water stains and crumbling plaster), repair and paint the walls (which were full of damage and several layers of wallpaper), demo old built-in cabinets and lay tile on the floor. He satisfied each of these tasks. Additionally, we were impressed that: * Sam provided a written quote estimate that laid out all of the costs, * He held to this quote when he had to change gears on part of the plan, after what he thought would work did not, * He was flexible when we added a few things to scope of work, providing a change order and updated price for us to sign so that everything is documented, * He showed up when he said he would and generally finished the job during the quoted time period. Overall, we were very impressed with his professionalism, honesty and quality of work. We'll definitely have him back to work on more of our house.
