I was using the address listed on the Groupon to find the location, but it was not complete. The business was located within another store front. I drove all over the strip mall trying to find this place. I eventually found another brow place in the same mall. When I went inside and sat down, but it wasn't Brown & Esthetics. I got back in my car and tried to call to let her know I was lost but I could only get a voice mail. On the voice mail it said they were in the same location as Med Spa. Due to all the running around I was 10 min late for my appointment. She was gone after only 10 min. I tried to call again from the lobby and once I got in my car. She finally called me back and I was told she only gives clients 10 min. I confirmed my appointment 3 times via text message and 1 time on email. It isn't my fault that the address wasn't listed correctly on the Groupon. I even texted her a copy of the address listed because she said there wasn't an error on Groupon. I wanted to try brow tinting for quite some time. I have very little eyebrows. With the Groupon this would have allowed me to get them done. I'm very disappointed with the whole process.

Okay so I've been looking into microblading for a few months because I have little soul patches for eyebrows (hi moms, please take your daughters to trained professionals to shape their eyebrows and make sure they never have tweezers unattended in case they overpluck their eyebrows and their hair never grows back like me) and as soon as I saw Alina's Yelp I was like "this is her". I was sorely mistaken. She is THE ONE. She's seriously so amazing and I really will be a customer life. Couple things: 1) don't think because she charges less than someone else that she isn't as good as someone else charging $600+. She USED to charge $600 and decided that a) its better for her clients and better for her business if she stays affordableI don't (win-win for both of us) b) she can people who may not think they have the opportunity to be able to afford such a luxury and c) her supplies (which are very expensive) only last a year anyways so why not get the most use out of them possible? 2) she drew out this shape on me that had no harsh points or high arches and I was like... "uhh, I dunno" and she was like "I promise, it's not the right thing for your face and it's an old beauty trend that is outdated. Trust me" (and I'm thinking like have you seen this RBF? I need sharp ass brows to let a hater know I stay the coldest) so I just went with it and I was feeling like I was going to walk out of there unhappy and I will be honest and say that it took a full 48 hours for these brows to really win me over but I'm at like 72-96 hours in now and I am OBSESSED. 3) listen to Alina always. She honest to God is the expert. You might have a personal preference but remember how you feel looking at your moms 80s yearbook photos and remember how you feel looking at the lil old lady's that wear heavy blush to church. Makeup adapts and evolves; that's the fun thing about it is that it's always changing as the world is progressing. Alina has seen trends come and go but overall she knows what looks best for the shape of your face and that is timeless and ageless and won't stick out like a sore thumb in old photos so listen to her like she's your grandmother. She also did my lash extensions which (you guessed it!) I'm super in love with. Do yourself a favor. If you're reading this and you've been contemplating if this is your girl or if you wanna get this done, the answer is yes and yes so book her now. Also, for what it's worth, I've heard of a lot of people saying they know people who got this done and the healing process was kinda gross and I'm attaching a photo from day 3. The picture collage is from Friday before and after. And the other picture is Monday, just over 72 hours into having it done and it looks great. As a disclaimer, and this may not be okay for everyone but I had zero bleeding during the session and close to zero scabbing over the weekend, I did wear makeup today so I took a baby wipe and gently buffed off the top layer of gunk since it appeared to be more of what looked like makeup I may have missed from when I got ready and cleaned them off with a watered down (okay, it was saliva) q-tip and it just sort of seemed to exfoliate this layer off the top that ended up revealing even better brows than I had already loved before. The pigment won't settle fully until about a month in but I could care less. Everyday I just fall more in love with these eyebrows. They are soooooo natural and real looking!!!! I arrived at 8:45 am and was welcomed by receptionist and informed her that this was my first time ever having microneedling. She reassured me that I made a great decision. I was then taken into a room for pictures of my skin. After the pictures I was taken to the procedure room and did my medical assessment by zoom with the physician assistant. After being cleared the receptionist brought me a bottle water and advised me that Perla had just arrived and she would be in momentarily to go over everything. I waited less than 5 minutes and Perla came in and we had a great conversation about what I wanted to achieve with my skin and my problem areas. Perla then put numbing cream on my face and advised that she would leave it on for 15 minutes. I was really impressed because every question I had about the process she answered and explained everything step by step. After the numbing cream she cleaned my face and put on an astringent and began microneedling. I thought it was going to be painful and that I was going to bleed. It actually tickles in some areas of the face and neck but I did have a little discomfort on the forehead and nose area. After it was over Perla did show me the areas that I had some redness but stated that would go away within a few days. Perla also advised me to use tinted sunscreen and gave me her recommendations on how to care for my skin. I immediately seen a difference and will be scheduling another appointment in 6 weeks for another session. I was really satisfied and highly impressed! Oh! I almost forgot after my service was over I was trying to redeem my Groupon deal and the Groupon site was having problems. I tried to access it several times and the receptionist tried on her end to access the site and nothing was happening. After 20 minutes the receptionist inquired if I would allow her to stay logged into my Groupon and she would take care of it and call me once the payment cleared. I felt bad for leaving unsure about the payment because I had never used Groupon and wanted to make sure that the business was paid for my services. About 10 minutes after I left I received a call from the receptionist that the website was up and running and she was able to redeem the Groupon payment. I just had it done yesterday and I am already starting to see the results! This will definitely be my go-to location for Botox!
