He started on my bicep back in 2016, added my flowers in 2024, and my most recent piece done yesterday, 2026. His work is simply incredible. I am constantly getting compliments about my tattoos from how colorful and vibrant they are (even after having them for years) to how detailed and realistic they look. Chris is a very relaxed guy. I'm actually comfortable around him to the point where I feel like I can speak up to ask questions and no matter how silly the question may feel to me, I don't feel ridiculed. My most recent tattoo, he asked my thoughts on what he drew up. I mentioned I had a certain vision I was hoping for and he effortlessly made changes to the tattoo stencil to meet my wants. We've pretty much finished the outer part of my arm, and I can't wait to finish the underside of my half sleeve. The only con I had was that their stations are pretty close. The other artist was tattooing a young man who had his dad accompanying him. The dad could have been a motivational speaker as he was SO LOUD, and barely came up to take a breath. He never ran out of topics and I felt drained from listening to that for roughly 3 hours lol. I highly recommend this place for piercings. Now, they do not let you take pictures of the process, which is fine with me, because I'm not 21 anymore (haha!), but some people may not like that. However, there are some things I didn't enjoy of my first experience at Ocean Mystique's. First off, after signing all the paperwork and paying for the tattoo, the woman at the front with the pink hair mentioned Monday's and Tuesday's weren't so busy and told me it'll be about a 30-40 minute wait. Fine, no big deal. That 30-40 minute wait turned out to be almost an hour. Then the pricing. $200 for just line work and not even one hour's work is pretty steep. My tattoo design was just line work, no coloring, no shading and they charged me two bills. I will give props to the artist though, the man's a professional. Tattoo came out great and I really like it. Though I don't see myself coming back for more.
