I came here for my very first tattoo, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Kasey was my artist, and she's an absolute sweetheart! I came in with some art I found on Pinterest, but thought it would be nice to give her some creative freedom too. She came up with a small ghost for my wrist -- and I loved it instantly. Over the past week, I've gotten so many compliments on it. Turns out that I love it wayyyy more than my initial line wraparound! She made the process so smooth, gave great aftercare advice, and was just such a vibe the whole time. Huge shoutout to her, she does amazing work! I also want to shout out the rest of the crew I met during my session: Canada, Flaco, and Sam. They were so kind and welcoming. We vibed over books, life struggles, and everything in between. It all felt so genuine, like hanging out with friends. And it blew my mind that they remembered me when I attended the VB Tattoo Fest this weekend! For a first tattoo, I couldn't have asked for better people or a better experience. I'll definitely be adding more over time. I saw a FB post that Kasey was apprenticing and doing free tattoos at the time for practice. I messaged Kasey and she replied promptly and gave me feedback for the tattoo and we got scheduled! Walking in I was greet by the receptionist (I can not remember her name I'm sorry girl you're awesome) Seth (a vibe and so sweet) and Sam(so sweet) they were all so welcoming and excited my husband and I were there to get tattooed by Kasey -love how supportive they all were. Kasey came out and greeted us and showed us what she had drawn, she happily changed a few of the things I wanted tweaked and took us back! She introduced us to her mentor Flaco which was so funny and nice, he answered her questions and gave her positive feedback. Kasey listened to all his feedback on what he suggested which was refreshing! When I first messaged her I was able to get an additional appointment with my bestie and when we went we had a good time with the staff! Everyone was just so nice and funny and made us feel so relaxed and comfortable! Our tattoos came out sooooo freaking cuuuuuute!!! I'm so excited to see Kasey grow in her career! Well my birthday is coming up and I decided to start exploring options to cover up part of a half sleeve tattoo. This was my first stop and will probably be my last. I had some pictures and ideas with me. The artist doing same day (Jeff or Jim) said he would look at the cover up. Without even asking what part I was interested in really covering up and exploring any options he says "you should go get laser removal". Wow. Not only was this my first impression, but disappointing to know that a place with such high ratings has artists not even willing to explore options with the clients. My mom, grandma, and I wanted matching bumble bee tattoos. I emailed the front desk to get a sense of who would be the best fit, and they sent me a few artists' portfolios who might fit the bill. I worked with Chipi (our artist) to set up a time and date that would work best for both of us. We came in today to a welcoming front desk staff (Abby). Chipi got all 3 of us some water and worked with us to make sure everything was right with the design before he got to work. It was my grandma's first tattoo, and he couldn't have been better. He was gentle, communicative, and confident- everything you could want in an artist, much less for your first one! Flaco Martinez is amazing. Flaco was great at building on my idea and worked with me on positioning. He has a great bed aide manner that would put a first timer at ease as well as someone who has been inked before into a fantastic piece of body art. This is a great location, my wife and I did some research into the local scene and were told by a few folks to check this place out, so we did. From start to finish the artists and office personnel were very helpful with each step from the consult to deposit to appointments. My wife had some work done with Colleen and myself with Mark. They were both very professional and passionate about their craft and hit the nail on the head with the outcome of our respective tattoo's.
