I initially became aware of this neighborhood pizzeria when I stopped at Sweet Mia's for cupcakes a few months ago. My wife and I happened to be in immediate area at lunch time so a stop was made for slices of cheese pizza that turned out to be very good. The NY slices are large for the price so for $5.05 including a large Pepsi we were satiated. YAMV = your appetite may vary. read more

Very disappointed! They were highly recommended by family in the area and we were looking forward to a good local pizza. Unfortunately, it was terrible. The crust was so tough and burnt you couldn't eat the ends. Even the family member that recommended the place was highly disappointed. The only positive was that they didn't skimp on the toppings but that didn't even make the pizza palatable. I've got to believe there are far better places in the area for pizza then this establishment. read more

Ordered 3 pizzas. First was tomato basil mozzarella. They put dried basil and processed mozzarella. What kind of pizza place doesn't have fresh basil or fresh mozzarella? 2nd mushroom, pepper and meatball. So soggy you had to eat it with a fork. 3rd buffalo chicken. Dry!!!! The reviews here of this place are wildly high, IMO. It's not that things are bad here; I've just found it to be average. I've visited about 8-10 times over a 2-year period. Always pizza. So I can't speak to anything non-pizza. I think one reviewer nailed the analysis: It's like cafeteria pizza. ... To me, that's not necessarily a knock, it's more a matter of function. It's basic. I go here when I want to stop the hunger - a quick lunch, passing through the neighborhood. That sort of thing. I've also never seen the pizza makers smile. They always look miserable. A smile is not a requirement for good food. (Soup Nazi, for example.) So I'm not taking any points off their score for this. But superior businesses have better personalities on the front end. read more

The pizza was good. I was absolutely shocked to see absolutely NO ONE wearing a mask as STATE LAW mandates. Zero COVID prevention in place, No plexi glass guard between customer and staff, NOTHING. You would think these people didn't know we were in the middle of a pandemic. I had half a mind to just leave the pizza I ordered there and drive away. The pizza was good, but not good enough to die for. Needless to say, I WILL NOT be returning. I have an elderly mother at home, and don't need any of these bozos sneezing on a pizza and then having her eat it. SHAME ON THE OWNERS,AND SHAME ON THE STAFF, FOR NOT PROTECTING PUBLIC HEALTH. After our experience last night, I'm changing my original review. We ordered pizza at 6 pm, called at 8pm to see why we hadn't heard anything, then were lied to that the delivery had left 5 minutes earlier. We are about an 8 minute drive from them, and no one ever showed up, or bothered to call us. At 9 o'clock, 3 hours after our order was placed, we got in the car to find something to eat as we were both beyond starved. Once again, we called Eldrion's, this time to cancel the order, and we're given some lame excuse that there was confusion as to whether someone had delivered our pizza- incompetent much? All they had to do was call me, you have my number, so instead they did nothing. I've bought well over a hundred meals there, their driver has our address on autopilot... Mookie knows us, and they couldn't manage to figure out whether they sent our dinner out?!? If I was them, I would have offered to send us a free pizza to make up for their mistake, a little good will gesture for a long time customer, but instead, crickets.... I like their pizza, but whoever manages the operation needs better organization, there's plenty of other pizza places in this area, and I can't recommend them anymore because of this. read more

Awesome food!! We had a variety of things tonight. This is the first time I tried them and would go back. We had a chicken parm grinder, a calzone, wings, a Philly , fried mozz and a meatball grinder. They forgot our philly but were really awesome when I called to let them know. They sent one right out. a nice little pizzeria, out of the way location, good "new york style" pizza. i had a few slices from the case - reheated in the flat deck oven (no fancy brick oven or coal or wood fire - just a plain and simple pizza oven), and they were OK - a little oily, a little chewy. next time i'll try a whole pie and see if its better when its fresher. slice was $1.50, a pretty good price for a pretty big slice. lots of gourmet pizzas to choose from on the menu. located in a neighborhood, not really on a main road - not too convenient if you dont live right here. read more

I love the pizza, the meatball grinders and the mozzerella sticks... I need to get a little off menu and see what these guys can REALLY do, but so far, wonderful. And I can almost walk here. The pizza is wonderful, won't win any gourmet awards, but it's tasty, fresh, crisp, fresh and tasty. This is the place you go to for good, consistent pie, if you want a gourmet experience, you'll head out to such a place or down to New Haven. I get the meatball grinder for lunch, as pizza seems kinda evil at that hour... and its the right amount of sauce, meat, crispy around the edges. When feeling gluttonous, I also get an order of mozzerella sticks, they are actually kinda juicy and absolutely fresh and tasty. I'd invite you to test this place, get some specials, get some odd combos, see what they can do, I'm confident they will not dissapoint! Had cheese pizza which was thicker and more doughy than I like (i prefer a thinner crust), but still really good in a pinch. Best pizza in Southington-Cheshire area!!! Offers plain, pepperoni, sausage, buffalo chicken, and spinach slices daily (I recommend the buffalo chicken). The whole pies are excellent too. We have monthly stromboli parties at work and everyone loves them. One meat stromboli will easily feed 2 adults and run at $9 total...it's a steal. The grinders are out of this world as well. I recommend the Italian combo and meatball with peppers. The owner, Mooki, is extremely nice and hospitable. The only downside is there isn't room for you to dine there. It's pretty much strictly a take-out place...but a great take-out place. read more

This was very disappointing for me. My co workers ordered from here the other day, suggested I try it. It got delivered an hour after I placed the order and after they went to the wrong address. The delivery driver said I gave them the wrong address despite even telling them the well known business I work for so they wouldn't miss it. Once it got delivered the pizza was cold and was not even good. I got a veggie pizza and the eggplant on it was soggy with oil, overly breaded and tasted horrible. I tried to eat the pizza without the eggplant and it wasn't any better. The bottom was burnt (but not in a delicious way like thin crust should be). I had my co worker try a piece thinking maybe it was just me and she had the same reaction. I am honestly so disappointed. This pizza was disgusting. Wow. I grew up in NYC, so pizza for me is the pizza of my childhood, from neighborhood pizzerias in the Inwood and Washington Heights areas of upper Manhattan. Since leaving for college, I have lived in 15 other states in the midwest, great plains, deep south, mid-atlantic, and new england. Been searching for the childhood pizza, hadn't found it. Found lots of good pizza, even learning to like Chicagio style when I lived there, but no place ever quite captured exactly what I was seeking. Today, my first visit to Eldrion's since moving to Southington almost 3 years ago, I finally found it - that NY style pizza of my childhood. Eldrion just nailed it! Perfect crust, perfect sauce, perfect cheese, just the right amount of seasoning and topppings. Now, there's lots more on the menu to try, including other types and styles of pizza and I will, over time. And don't get me wrong - what I had might not be your favorite type of pizza. You might find it unspectacular, even ordinary. But for me, it was a close as I've come in over 40 years to the NYC pizzas I remember as a kid. read more

My wife and I have tried their grinders and pizza's and they were EXCELLENT. The crust on the pizza is great with the right amt. of cheese and sauce w/extra toppings. I personally really like there sausage grinder's w/cheese and pepper's. They slice their sausage in long strips and they layer it in the roll with cheese sauce and pepper's or any way you might want it. Very accommodating and nice people to deal to deal with. read more
