Though checkin time was a few hours away, they knew we were weary travelers and quickly found us rooms to settle in. We so appreciated their kindness and wanted to publicly say "Thank You"! This place is consistently well maintained to the Hampton Inn quality that you expect. The rooms are fresh and clean with comfy beds. The breakfast team work hard each morning to offer hot and cold choices that are constantly replenished. They are always moving around cleaning up to make room for the next guest. We thoroughly enjoy our stay each time. Keep up the great work. Enjoy!

I went to New Castle on business and had been warned that the hotel selection was rather "limited"…read more I decided to take a risk and opt for the BellaDonna Inn in downtown New Castle. I'm so glad I did. First thing to say is that the pictures do not do it justice. Nearly every item in the house appears curated and thoughtfully placed. What might look a bit old and drab in the photos is actually a fantastic collection of oddities and antiques. The place definitly leans into the old spooky Victorian house vibe. I found it charming and well done!! I could spend a day exploring the two guest floors. There are also some luxurious touches in the choice of china, fabrics, towels, and pillows that make the place feels special. While the rooms lacked TVs, there are a few hangout areas around the house that give you access to large TV's connected to the internet so you can stream whatever. Important to note that the place has a social, somewhat communal feel. The hosts, Dustin and Mariah are genuine, fun and interesting people who very much want to get to know their guests. They also cook a fantastic breakfast that met my dietary needs (which are numerous). Bottom line: If your looking for something different...something special...the Bella Donna Inn is for you. Can't wait for my next stay at the BellaDonna Inn!

I didn't feel welcomed when I checked in. Not that the staff was rude, they just were not pleasant…read moreand seemed irritated they had to check people in. I was on the third floor near the elevator. Room was pretty big and room temperature was solid. Pillows were great, but bed sunk in and gave me major pain. A few cons to the room - There was rust/mold in the bathtub and the toilet didn't flush. Looked like the handle was broke. I reported it to the staff upon noticing the issue who then proceeded to go get me a plunger. I explained it's not stuffed; it just won't flush because the handle is broke. Her response was then we aren't going to switch you because you are checking out today. I said that's fine I'm just making you aware of this problem. The breakfast area was decent. Nothing to brag about, however I always appreciate a hot breakfast and when more is offered then just bagels, cereal, and muffins. They had sausage, omelettes, cinnamon rolls and an assortment of others. Other amenities: The ice machine was out of order. Three of the 4 treadmills in the fitness center were out of order and the swimming pool was very small in total width and only went up to 4 feet deep so couldn't even jump in or swim around so we opted to not go in after initially being excited and packing our swim suits. One last note is my room rate when I checked out on the website was $124, however after I submitted, I saw payment of $182. I looked at my order summary and saw a 19.99 non refundable charge to book plus taxes of course. I wish this amount appeared before I processed the payment because I would have looked elsewhere. That's too much to pay for one night during the work week in the city of New Castle. Overall not the worst stay, but given the price, and the fact that the hotel is only a few years old with many issues, this was an underwhelming experience. Will stay at the comfort or quality inn next time.

It is located on a highway, so even with the air condition on, you hear tractor trailers going by the hotel. The staff were very willing to work with me as far as housekeeping ... I was working nights and needed to sleep all day. The staff uniforms were eclectic (bedroom slippers, low riding shorts, no work badges) making it sometimes difficult to identify who was staff. The lobby always had guests mingling. There is a pool. Breakfast is served in the main lobby. There isn't a restaurant in the hotel but many options within a 10 minute drive. The room had lots of lighting options, soft and firm pillows (embroidered on the pillow cases), large walk in shower, and plenty of room to put stuff. I would definitely return to this establishment.

Our guess is that this has been a problem for a long time, considering the number of industrial fans they had running. The guests were doused in sweat, and sadly, by 6:00, most people had left. Unfortunately that's only the beginning of the experience for my family. How truly sad that on my cousin's special day, they celebrated without their guests due to the heat in the building. The bride got a room there the night before. The conditions were so deplorable she didn't stay, and they didn't stay their wedding night either (I believe). When all was said and done, my cousin posted a very honest review on their Facebook page, and the owner verbally attacked her on Facebook and made personal insults. Thankfully we took screenshots, because they somehow managed to hide her review and threatened to take them to court. Beware! This is not the place for your special event!I've never given a business such a poor review, but I'd be remiss if I didn't share our experience, especially having worked in the wedding industry for several years myself.
