There is absolutely no quality about this inn. Room was disgusting stains on carpets, bed sheets gross. Got multiple bug bites on me pretty sure from the unwashed beds. Not to mention complained multiple time about the loud music and party happening in the room next to mine and not a damn thing was done. The kid working the front desk tried to charge me a second time for the room even though it had already been paid for and reserved, they wrote the room number on the key card and was completely illegible, so I went off of the room number I heard him say, which turns out they don't even have that room, and when I went to ask for direction to the room he just dismissevly said down there and didn't really elaborate at all so I finally figured pieces together the room number, he wrote the 1 right against the 4 so it looked exactly like a 2 digit number, and there room numbers are all 100 and above for some weird reason. They had those carts for helping with the luggage, then it turns out it's down stairs no elevator, but I noticed there's a door going to the bottom level from outside, so I take the cart all the way back outside and around the building to use those doors and they were locked, so I went back through the front, I was struggling to get the cart through the door and hold it open and they just looked at me, no help or anything, so I had to take the cart back to the stairs and carry each thing down the stairs down the hall way to the room, and did have a fair amount of things to bring in, in all the rooms were fine but the people were incompetent, rude, and very unprofessional, I will never stay here again. Pros: Solid hotel and probably one of the best hotels in new castle. The check in process was convenient and only took a minute. The staff greeted me with a smile & accommodated me. The room had everything needed and the room temperature was just right; nice & cool. It was also very clean and I didn't hear any noise from other rooms. Free continental breakfast including bagels, cereal, and muffins. Price was reasonable for a weekend. Cons: Nothing is perfect and I didn't give 5 stars for a few reasons. Firstly, the bed was super stretchy and bouncy which wasn't good for my back. I had to sleep on my side all night. Would like the hotel to spend some money and replace some beds because my guess is it's pretty old. Secondly, the breakfast nook area is very small and right next to the check in/out area which lead to a ton of people being there at the same time. I'd like to see breakfast served in another room with larger seating. Overall good though experience & I would stay here again. read more

Staff was lovely! Room was perfect for our length of stay (one week). We had a grocery store very convenient directly behind us. There is a grill on the back patio, many people used that nice area for dinner. Breakfast was available every morning in the lobby too. There is a washer & dryer in the lobby area, really convenient! Really not a bad budget motel option. We picked this place ahead of time primarily because of the low price and mostly positive reviews. It is a budget motel, we were there for a total of 10 hours from check in to check out on a Friday night. You get what you pay for, no frills. Nothing fancy, but a clean and spacious room with a fridge, microwave, tv, desk, recliner and king bed. We stayed in room #124 and when we walked down the hallway we immediately smelled weed, but that really doesn't bother me. We didn't encounter many other guests, but most of them seemed fine. They let us know they have a contract with the railroad so they get a lot of workers staying there. They also get crowded for conventions/events in the area so book ahead of time. Front desk woman when we checked in was very nice and helpful. There's a small buffet breakfast in the morning from 7-10am. Food was very average, honestly not very good but I ate a hardboiled egg and had some juice and we got on our way. read more

The hotel took us in when we lost everything in a house fire. But my issue is that they lied to us. They told us for weeks that our card on the account had been FULLY refunded, because Salvation Army picked up the remaining balance. They even told us that we could stay an extra day for free! Sounds great right? NOT really, because after weeks of me going in there trying to figure out why I didn't get fully refunded, they now say it is my balance that I owe. That I need to take it up with Salvation Army. First it was my bank, that was the issue that I didn't get refunded. Now it is a me problem because Salvation Army didn't cover the full tab. So then why did you tell me before I checked, after I checked out, then for weeks after I checked out that I had been refunded fully? So what your telling me is that the management team doesn't know how to keep track of their business , nor do they know how to keep track of multiple credit cards on file. How do you even qualify for management if you can't add? How do you even qualify for management when you lie to the customers who just lost everything in a house fire! Those customers are veterans too! How dare you! I hope you can't sleep at night for what you put us through, and then act like you did us a favor by discounting the room a measly few bucks, and waived the animal fee? Yeah, that was nice, but you could have done better by treating us better. Lying to us and telling us one thing, and then realizing you screwed up so we get hit with the penalty! DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS! They don't deserve it at all! Mind you their key cards, are horrible! You have to get them rekeyed multiple times a day! We need to get some updated reviews for this place! We came in town from South Carolina for a family wedding, and I'm pretty sure the wedding guests booked out almost the entire hotel. We were so impressed by the amount of staff prepared to help everyone check in, keep breakfast filled, and attend to the front desk needs. The manager was great! We were able to check in early which helped for bridal party duties, and we had the entire conference room to put food, decor, etc from the venue which was a HUGE help. The rooms are exactly what I would expect from this star rating of hotel- recently renovated bathroom floors and vanity, bedding was clean and neat, newer window coverings helped spruce the place up for sure. We had a little sink, microwave and fridge to store what we needed. Overall, a great experience and we are so grateful for a great staff that made this wedding weekend memorable in many good ways! read more

This was, by far, the worst hotel service I've ever dealt with. I think that I'm a pretty understanding person, but it took over an hour and a half to check us in, even though I'd booked the two rooms days in advance and we got there several hours after check-in was available. It took about 20 minutes to check each person in line in. One of the people in line said that it was like this the last time he stayed there, too. So, we finally get our rooms (we had to wait because they hadn't been cleaned yet??), only to find out that our room was filthy and hadn't been cleaned at all! Bed was unmade, hair on the sheets, trash in cups, etc.. (Let me also add that I have a tired, one year old baby during all this!) I went back to the desk, informed them of the issue, and had to wait another 30+ minutes to get a new room! I asked for a discount, and was finally told the next morning that $15 would be deducted from one of my rooms. I didn't even argue. Both rooms should have been heavily discounted for how long we had to wait - nearly 3 hours!! The whole hotel smelled faintly of cigarettes, too. The bed was springy and not very comfortable, and our friend said that there were spiders in his shower. We will not be coming back. read more

Worst hotel we have ever stayed in, it definitely needs updating. Our room, in the smoke free hotel, smelled of cigarette smoke and awful smelling air freshener. The bed was very uncomfortable, we had to use the duvet under us so we couldn't feel the springs, which helped very little. We got very little sleep. It didn't help that it sound like the room above us was moving furniture until after 2:00AM, which was not the hotels fault. The WiFi didn't work in the room, only in the lobby. Breakfast was served until 9:00 AM, but at 8:40 there was very little food left, the waste basket on the counter, near the coffee was overflowing and was unattended. The Lowest Quality Inn I have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, I had a bad feeling. I felt like I was in a movie.... one from the 70's. Everything is seriously outdated and needs an overhaul badly. The lobby had a drunk guy passed out on the couch and reeked of stale cigarette smoke. The poor girl at the front desk looked apologetic that we were spending our money on the load of garbage they had to offer us. The hallways were unreasonably hot and smelled of dirty carpet. No elevator makes it very difficult with someone with any difficulty walking or even with luggage on wheels. Even the first floor must be reached via stairs. Our room was really not clean. Weird stains and splatters on the walls, desk, and even the sheets. Looks like housekeeping just pulled the sheets up and called it a day. Yuck. read more

We came here after having a horrible experience at the 8 across the street. Lasted 30 mins and left that place! Anyhow they take care of you at the comfort in. We were forced from our home due to a furnace problem depositing soot everywhere. Our insurance company had us in a room that same day along with our 2 dogs as well. If we had to be out of our home this was the best place to be. We felt welcome from the start. Everyone we encountered on our 10 day stay was wonderful. A friendly staff who did all they could to make our stay relaxing for us. Everyone seemed to love our dogs not like some places that just put up with pets.Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfasts, the best coffee in the world always available, and a staff who always took time to talk when you needed conversation. This hotel is in a small town. I have noticed that the Quality Inns or other hotels under that same umbrella of a brand aren't kept up as nicely as the ones in bigger towns or small cities. They usually have a quirk or two. At this hotel there was no elevator. It's a small hotel, only a couple of floors, but I'm not sure how they get away with having no hotel. The check in area was nice a cool on a hot summer day but the hall way was hot and airless. The hallways weren't very cool either. We were happy to get to our room to put our luggage down and to cool down. We had a King bed which is what we asked for. The bed was very comfortable. We prefer to sleep in a dark room but there were only curtains on one side of the window so even though the blinds were drawn we were awoken very early in the morning by the sun flooding into our room on the side that there was no curtain. That wasn't a nice wake up call. Since we were awake we ended up leaving earlier than we wanted to. It was a bummer because we wanted to sleep in and get some rest. We ate breakfast before we left. The breakfast area was very busy but the attendant did a good job of keeping it stocked. Check in and check out both took longer than necessary. Check in was slowed down by a malfunctioning computer. The staff were very friendly. No one cleaned our room and we had to ask for new towels our second day. My husband got sick after eating the breakfast. The next morning I checked my yogurt and it was expired. All the yogurts in the case were expired. The rooms were clean on arrival. I travel for work and stay in motels at least 6 times a month so I get to compare several motels. The staff here were very friendly and the room for the most part was clean. The motel is in need of updates ( carpet, drapes, bed spread ) and seems to have maintenance issues. ( faucet dripping, noisy refrigerator ). My biggest concern would be the price. I have stayed at much nicer places for less money. I don't mind paying for what I get but feel this stay was overpriced. read more

The Bathroom Toilet flooded the entire room. We asked for a new room , they said none were available. No maintenance workers were available , housekeeper showed up with two mops one of which she handed to me, implying to help clean. I was expected to mop the bathroom. All of our clothes and suitcases where soaked through with toilet water. We received no apology and had to ask for a 2 hour extension. We requested a whirlpool suite for the long President's Day Weekend. Took 15-20 minutes to check-in the internet is so slow. The internet took over 2 hours to load up so I could at least have internet access. The beds were like sleeping on the hard ground. The shower leaked, you had to put the pop-up drain stopper, which was sitting on the side of the tub, in the tub drain to use the whirlpool tub. There is mold in the shower tile grout, the caulking is pulling away from the tub and the tub looks like it has not been cleaned in a month from all the harsh chemicals they use to clean it. It leaked out below the water jet levels and the water jets got the entire bathroom soaked. The price is not worth the stay. The air conditioner and heater unit had mold in it it was so bad I thought a bird got in and maybe pooped in the unit. The fan knob was broked in half. The breakfast is nothing to write home about. The frozen premade pancakes were so dry that they sucked up all the syrup, the frozen premade made omelets were like eating a pencil eraser. Priceline mistake.... Wouldn't give this hotel a full star, but the system requires you to give a rating. The first room they gave us smelled so strong of cigarette smoke (labeled non-smoking room) that we immediately went up stairs and requested another one. The next room was just as bad, but we were so exhausted from traveling all day we decided to grin and bear it. Smell of smoke was so bad, that we could taste it. When we asked for the new room, lady at the front desk stated that some rooms used to be smoking rooms, but now the entire hotel is smoke free.... If this is really true, then you need to clean and refurbish the old smoking rooms. Bugs were present in the room, found one on our bed and also on the desk in the room. The hotel says that it is pet friendly.... Not true in regard to cats. Our cat is even declawed and they wouldn't allow her in the hotel. The lady at the front desk was not knowledgable about why cats weren't allowed and was also not very understanding about the fact that we had traveled over 600 miles and simply didn't want to leave our cat in our car. Save your time and drive to Pittsburg to find a nicer hotel for a similar price. We would rather stay in our packed car if we had to in the future than stay here ever again! read more
