I come to this library primarily to use the study rooms which are nice, spacious and comfortable. They have a white board inside of them as well. My favorite part of this library is the display of African American baseball artifacts on multiple levels. It shows how important, valuable and the great contribution African Americans players made to the sport of baseball. Park on the garage level.....maybe on floor 3 of the garage which had a small bridge to enter the library directly. Also, The community college shares the upper floors of this library as well which includes larger study rooms and an entire computer lab. The staff is really helpful as well. This is a Very nice library, large enough in scale, with a lot of computers for public use, plenty seating areas for work and study, brightness through the large glass wall. Beautifully designed. Ample parking included handicap and EV charging. Restroom is good size located right before the main entrance. Large kids area with books, tables, chairs and a full schedule of activities. Teen center also come with activities plans. The only downside, is the homeless issues, they just come and stink up the entire place. The SAD part is, this is not just a HCL problem , this happens to all public libraries, cause you cannot tell them not to come to a public facility. Free hclwireless unsecured wifi. Highly recommend to bring your own sanitizing wipes to wipe down everything you plan to sit and use before seated.

This library is part of the Howard Library network and has a great set of books. Both their website and app are user-friendly to browse, hold and check out books. I am a little biased in my love for Elkridge Library (and all Howard County Libraries) as I used to volunteer here in my teen days. Although those are long behind me, and some of the staff I used to work with are long gone as well, the vibes are still just as great and the current staff are amazing. I love bringing my kids here for their children's events, and I love attending their adult art classes, or finding a new romance book to read the night away, or attending a DIY class to learn a new skill. I highly recommend getting a library card to make the most of your time here. It's more than just books!

It's located next to the 1st…read morecemetery in the area that includes several people involved in the founding and building of Reisterstown and Owings Mills. The older part of the library is a building that was the first school. There is a modernized addition to that historic building to hold the actual books and computers. The quiet room is okay, but because it's located in the older building you can hear people walking around upstairs and anyone going up or down the stairs...it can be annoying at times! They have about 20 or so computers to log into. Free wi-do of course. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and will try their best to answer any of your questions.

Which means those books with waiting lists sometimes will be there. I bypassed that 4 week waiting period. I came initially to use one of their conference rooms. Which is huge and spacious. They have a discovery room which is a huge sensory play area that I use to take my littles that they absolutely loved. Teachers can also reserve the room during the week for a hour. However use caution. Idk if those toys are sanitized. So make sure your littles dont put it in their mouth. Lots of computers to use, or bring your own laptop. Wifi is good. However their printing is expensive... .15 cents for regular and i think .99 cents for color. They also have classes, especially if you wanna learn how to knit, or play mahjong. They also have reading time for the littles.
