I had a very positive experience with Dr. Peter Rullan himself. He was kind, informative, and I was…read morevery happy with the results of my Kenalog injections. My initial consultation was complimentary, and I paid $130 for the injections. At that appointment, I was told to come back in three weeks for a follow up. At my follow up, I told Dr. Rullan that I was really happy with my results and did not need any additional injections. We briefly discussed possibly doing a peel or laser in the future, and I told them I needed to look at my schedule and would get back to them. When I went to check out, I was surprised when I was told the visit would be $130. I explained that I had not been told there would be a charge for the three week follow up and that, had I known, I would not have scheduled the appointment because I was already happy with my results. This was especially confusing because my initial consultation had been complimentary and I had paid $130 for the injections themselves. Dr. Rullan kindly came over and waived the fee, and I apologized for the misunderstanding. Unfortunately, what happened afterward left me feeling incredibly humiliated. Mary, the office manager, told me, "You don't go out to eat without paying, do you?" She told me that the doctor's time is valuable, that a consultation or even asking a question about a procedure is a $130 fee, and that I was no longer welcome back. I completely understand that a physician's time is valuable, and I have no problem paying fees that are communicated to me beforehand. My issue was never about expecting a doctor's time for free. I simply was not aware that the follow up I had been instructed to schedule would cost another $130. I had actually been very happy with Dr. Rullan and was considering returning for a peel or laser treatment, which makes the way this interaction ended even more disappointing. I wish the fee had been clearly communicated when the follow up was scheduled and, more importantly, that the misunderstanding had been handled with kindness and professionalism rather than making me feel embarrassed and unwelcome.

As far as pricing goes, it will be a major expense for many, but it's totally reasonable and worth it. Message me if you'd like to see photos of my improvement. The first time I went I purchased a package that included subcision, filler, TCA cross and laser treatment. I believe he calls it the Quattro treatment. I had very significant improvements in my skin. It really helped my confidence. I saw him again for the same package and then twice to refill the filler in my acne scars. The packages are reasonably priced, he does not price gouge you. He has so much experience and has had a hand in inventing some of the treatments derms use across the country, if not outright inventing them himself (phenol peel). I was really insecure about my skin before I met Dr. Rullan and I am so thankful for his work. He will take care of you!

(Oh, so gaslighting me. I reacted poorly to the medical doctor's suggestion I win the lottery to pay for healthcare). Spoke to the office manager who refused several requests for the medical director's name. And I completely understand why they do not want me (or anyone) to not know her name. I guess Google is not something you've heard of. It's their culture. Do nothing. It will go away. There are more people to treat horribly. Brooke Resh Sateesh! Your father probably didn't envision his practice treating patients this way. Your phone call by the office manager only made things worse. I was being pacified and was never apologized to or got the sense it matter. She provided "management speak" usually used in retail when a customer is dissatisfied. If you are poor, have no ability to stand up for yourself, or don't mind being treated poorly: make an appointment and don't forget to ask for Dr. David Weiss. I have been struggling with progressive macular hypomelanosis for years, and was referred here for…read morephototherapy. I was looking forward to making progress with my condition, until I was met by Dr. Elizabeth and she told me they don't do phototherapy at this location. This was after they had already collected my copay, and also after I called them weeks in advance to schedule the appointment clearly stating I was referred for phototherapy. Dr. Elizabeth's response to that was "Well actually your referral just said a rash." As a healthcare professional, I always treat others especially other healthcare professionals with respect, and I did not feel that from the staff at this facility. I felt robbed here, and I feel that this could've been handled so much better. It's the front desk's responsibility to be clear about what services are provided here, and they could have clarified that when I initially scheduled my appointment over the phone. Their customer service could also use improvement, as both receptionists spoke in a very condescending tone, did not smile once, and just looked like they were unhappy to be there. Dr. Elizabeth could've been more empathetic, understanding the challenges of struggling with a condition that feels almost like a deadend. Instead, she said "We can just talk about your acne because we don't have much time left in your visit." This was a horrible experience, and I left here feeling frustrated and uncared for in the worst way possible. Take these other 1 star reviews seriously because it's true. If you do go here, definitely clarify what services you are going there for and ensure that the front desk checks with their medical team if that service is provided, before you waste your time and money coming here.
