Ok! I have no idea why Yadira has a 4.5 because- why?? She is great! I came to her like a stranded child because I had my eyelashes done at a place in Scottsdale. To make the story short: I spend too much money on days worth lashes. And when I tried to get a fill- I was not helped at all and they made me look all tuerta- as if I'm questioning everything with a broom like lashes in one eye and unos cuantos palitos in the other. It was really embarrassing. Anywho! Yadira helped me out A LOT! Not only did I feel welcome but she takes care of her customers and often goes above and beyond. There has been times when she takes the initiative to trim my eyebrows (quite honestly- I neglect them) because while I do not have much eyebrows she makes sure my eyes don't look like a hot mess ( ie. great eyelashes and all over the place brows). I have been going to her for some time now and I always leave satisfied. Over a period of time Yadira starts learning about your eyelash cycle and helps you take care of them. Had my hair and makeup done Saturday with four other women in a wedding party. I have had my hair and makeup done in my home before for weddings, quinceañeras, but this was the first time I went with a group to a salon. One part of the salon does hair and the other salon in the next building is makeup, waxing, and other stuff. It was somewhat chaotic, and I still prefer stylists coming to our home for larger groups, but I think the ladies did a wonderful job accommodating all of us. My hair is still curly today, a day later and it does not feel weighed down by excessive product. The makeup was stunning! I have had airbrush makeup done many times for formal events, and I love it because it stays perfectly all night long. The owner of the makeup salon did such an amazing job on all of us. The make up felt light and also stayed perfectly all night. I really appreciated how she listened to what we wanted and we all left feeling completely satisfied with makeup. Hair is easy to please (sometimes), but makeup can be a hit or miss!! I do not recommend the salon for a group over 5 because some in our group barely made it to the event on time. However, if time is not a factor, this is definitely your place. The ladies here have true talent. I hope to attend a make up training class if it's offered one day! **Only tiny issue was one of my fake lashes may have had too much glue. When I removed it about 4 of my lashes came off with it! :-( Never had that happen before, so maybe next time I will really work it with makeup remover. I decided to stop on by to get my eyebrows done and I was so satisfied with my service. Prior to coming here I went to San Diego Nails on 91st ave and Thomas and girl named Tina screwed up my eyebrows and left them horribly thin. I let them grow for about a month and came to Ana to fix them up. I vented out to her about my horrible experience and assured me she would fix me up lol. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my eyebrows and she worked some magic and made my eyebrows look great. The best part of it all she gave me a mirror so I could see what she was doing. I have been coming to see Yadira for the past few years for facials, waxing, permanent and regular makeup artistry. If Yadira isnt doing your eyebrows you are missing out! She is the only person I let touch my eyebrows. She is the most fabulous and in demand permanent makeup/regular makeup artist. She is a waxing pro and will make your eyebrows look perfect. My eyebrows were way overplucked and she fixed them and made them the way they should have always been. Her hairstroke permanent makeup technique is flawless and looks very natural. I also have permanent winged eyeliner which I love, and saves me so much time getting ready in the morning. My eyelash extensions are on point and look amazing. I dont wear much eye makeup because, now I dont need it with my full and glamourous lashes. An appointment is recommended, but she will fit you in as a walk-in. Yadira is in high demand and usually very busy, especially on the weekends. She does beautiful bridal and quince makeup. I have her do my makeup for all my black tie and special events. I came in on Monday morning after getting my hair ruin at the other location. My hair was horrible uneven in all kinds of shades. Lorraine was great she fix my hair did a color correction and left it in super smooth and manageable conditions. I love how she immediately act knowledge me and my concerns. I highly recommend this location Lorraine is fast and really experience. She made me feel as any client should feel when getting their hair done pampered. I never write reviews this is actually my first time. I was so impressed after leaving el y ella i wanted to share my experience with everyone! I Love this place I recently had my hair and makeup done for a concert I literally live like right across the street and i was able to walk right over and they got me in right away had my hair done in no time and it looked amazing Then when she was finished she walked me right over to the spa where they do make-up and many other very affordable services they use top of the line cosmetics MAC. I was shocked when i looked in the mirror I couldnt believe it was me she made me look absolutly amazing. These people are friendly give excellent customer service and are absolute professionals.
