I understand wanting to cut costs, but the administrative side of the experience is too important to overlook. Even a part-time receptionist or intern would make a huge difference in the flow and overall customer experience. I genuinely like this location, but whether I return will depend on whether they improve this operational inefficiency. If you're in a rush or need a quick, smooth in-and-out appointment, this may not be the ideal location for you at the moment. I got to the point where filling and shaping my eyebrows took longer than doing the rest of my makeup. If I was tired, hungover, or not in the mood, I could kiss the symmetry of the sisters goodbye. So I took the plunge into microblading to see if it was worth the hype and could save me some time. Yes and Yes. I went to see Tiffany Melcher at Succulent Brows (now Succulent Babe) and she is a joy. The suite is beautiful and calming. She is sweet and friendly and immediately made me feel comfortable. She answered all my questions, laid out the micro blade process, and explained what to expect during the procedure, during healing and beyond. She listened to what I wanted and expertly color matched my eyebrows to get the best and most natural look for my face. She provided detailed post-care instructions--FOLLOW THEM. It was worth it, because my eyebrows healed well with no issues. After healing, I was able to put a few strokes of color in each, brush them and go! AND I got compliments right away. Most programs I found were only 2-3 days long and mainly included a tattoo gun. For the price and the short duration, I was worried I wouldn't learn enough--especially since many schools only taught a couple of techniques or just one service like brows or lip liner. Then I came across Brow Me Pretty Academy with Eveline, and I immediately felt like I found exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a program long enough to truly understand not only the techniques, but also the theory and business knowledge needed to start a career. I ended up getting even more than I expected. While I was comparing different courses, I also paid close attention to the kits they came with. Eveline offered two types of starter kits, and both included everything you need to begin practicing confidently. She even provides information on where to purchase additional supplies. Many other courses only offered a very small kit--or just a tattoo machine--which didn't feel worth the investment. For the amount of money you're spending, a good starter kit is essential. This was another sign to me that Eveline is incredibly detailed and genuinely cares about her students' success. The course is two weeks long, which I loved. The first week is online and comes with two detailed manuals--one for blading and one for shading. This is a manual microblading and shading course (not a machine class). The books are packed with essential information for beginners: when you should avoid working on someone, skin types and how they affect healed results, choosing the right brow style, mapping (including correcting difficult brows), color theory, color correction, and even guidance on starting your business. The second week is completely hands-on. You work side by side with Eveline as she walks you through the techniques and shows how the theory ties into real daily work. This week really helped everything click for me--I became confident with the tools and the process. We also shadow her and work on two models for our final, which was a big reason I chose this academy. Unlike other schools where students only get to do a couple of strokes on a shared model, here you get actual meaningful practice. If you're going to invest in your education, I highly recommend choosing Eveline's full program. Her academy is one of only two schools in Phoenix accredited by the education board, meaning you leave with a legitimate certification. That's so important--I'm truly grateful I found her, because I would have been devastated to spend my hard-earned money on a certificate that holds no real value. There are only two licensed instructors in Phoenix, so choose your school carefully. I'm very glad I chose Brow Me Pretty Academy.

Let me tell you. Emily has changed my life for the better and has given me so much confidence. Never in a million years would I have thought a pair of brows could make such a difference! Microblading is not cheap, but it's absolutely worth Every. Single. Penny. I initially saw Emily a year ago. After booking online and making a $50 deposit, I was more than ready for my new brows! Before each session I've had with her, Emily was very clear with pre and post procedure guidelines. It important to follow these because it can directly have an impact on the results of your session. Each session, initial vs. touch up is the same. Once in her room, she maps your brows. This can take a while because this is the most important step! She makes sure you like the shape and will make any tiny adjustment you ask with the most patience out of anyone I've ever met. Once you have your perfect brow shape, she makes recommendations for your perfect brow shade. Once all that has been decided, she applies a numbing gel and lets it sit for about 20 minutes. She usually leaves the room and you can just chill on your phone during this time. Once the 20 minutes is up, the actual microblading begins. She wipes the gel off and it works great but can wear off towards the end. She reapplies the gel once finished with each brow because she does 2 more "passes" aka she goes over the brows a total of 3 times. I'm not going to lie, microblading is bizarre. At first you don't feel anything, but you can hear the blade cutting your skin. By the end, in more sensitive areas you can both feel and hear each stroke of the blade. It's not fun but it's bearable and totally worth it! Once she's done, she sets you up with an after care cleanser and balm. She recommends a touch up session which I had already booked. I had to have 2 touch up sessions about 6-10 weeks apart to achieve the look i was going for and ultimately in my last session, I changed from microblading to combo brow which is microblading and shading. This was so much better for my oily skin! I just had my annual touch up and with a bit more experience and training under her belt, my brows have never healed or looked better! I did follow the after care instructions to a T! One tip I would give is to be sure to thoroughly rinse off all the cleanser! At first I was afraid to use too much water and most likely wasn't getting all the cleanser off my brows which did make a difference in healing. Also, book you touch up at the same time as your initial because her schedule fills up fast! Emily at Nakd beauty is sooo nice and funny and pretty and smart. She has the best personality! Her work is absolutely incredible! She is very clear with the expectations she has of her clients and holds us to the same accountability that we hold her as an artist resulting in flawless brows every time. I would recommend her to anyone looking to get their brows done a million times over!
