Everything we had was wonderful. The guacamole and the salsa had a lot of flavor, especially cilantro, which I love! My fajita was huge. I thought maybe they didn't realized I ordered the lunch fajita and brought me a full dinner portion, but, no, it was the lunch portion. My wife enjoyed her taco salad too. The service was very good also. Several staff members stopped to check on us during our visit. Definitely will be coming back here when we are wanting to get our Mexican food fix!

Bargain margaritas at $1.99 will bring a loyal crowd and the nice ambience and quiet atmosphere are a welcome change from other similar restaurants offering Mexican. The food was very good and presentation and service were also great again. Complimentary chips were very good. The salsa was much better than last visit and the beans were tasty- served whole vs. refried and mashed you find at most other Mexican in town. The last visit I tried the Birrias tacos which were really tasty- a Mexican roast beef slow cooked in a chili based sauce with a deep rich flavor that really went well with the rice and pinto beans also served with it. My companion had the Beef Nachos Supreme which were also very good. Enjoyed this first experience and looking forward to trying again. Their lunch menu looks very competitive in price while most of their dinner menu looks a little on the premium side compared to other Mexican restaurants in town. We'll see if the bargain Margaritas and quiet surroundings will balance the equation. On this visit I wasn't very hungry and only tried a tamale off the ala carte menu. The tamale was outstanding. Served covered with a rich, deep flavored mole sauce I was blown away. The tamale reminded me of tamales at my favorite Mexican restaurant in Dallas, TX- El Fenix.

The first…read morecontext clue was the fact that my husband and I walked in at 1:00 pm and there were no customers, just us, and 5 employees sitting around. There were dirty tables and no one cleaning them. I asked for a Skinny Margarita and at first the Server said they don't have them and I looked at the full bar and said, ya know, a Skinny is just tequila, triple sec, and fresh squeezed lime. And he kind of laughed and said ok, I can make you that. Our margaritas arrived and he had obviously added that terrible sugary mix plus orange juice ‍. Sugar on top of sugar, disgusting. Why do they put orange juice in Margaritas here in the South? Just gross. But wait, the grossest part is still to come. Hubs got carne asada tacos which were bland, zero flavor, but at least edible when we asked for salsa picosa, cilantro, and onions. I unfortunately ordered the shrimp tacos. They were a mixture of tiny shrimp with some goopy dressing on flour tortillas (which should be corn, they are tacos!). I ate 1 because I was hungry but after that I pushed away the other 2. Server never asked what was wrong or can I take it off your check. Our 40 minute drive home was very painful with my tummy gurgling. I was planning to ride horses this afternoon but nope! Lay on the couch and tried not to throw up. Disgusting. Terrible and somewhat predictable experience as the South continues to disappoint in their lack of Mexican food knowledge.

It seems that the owners took my feedback via Facebook message to heart. We've been back to this location a half dozen times for both lunch and dinner. It has been served hot through and through, not just the plates, but the food itself. There is still an issue that needs work. The manager and I are on agreement that there is a food item that is tainted and has been more than once. He thanked me for bringing it to his attention, he tasted the item and agreed. As a result, he has informed the kitchen staff to be alert and conscientious from here on out. We still have not returned to the Harper location and as long as this location continues improving and maintaining high quality we won't have a need to go to Harper. The other review below is actually for the Harper Rd location (interior decor description is Harper location). I will increase the star rating if they can maintain quality over the next few months. Update- 9/18/15, so far so good. Bumped up to 4 stars.

Freshly made tortillas have come to Corinth. My Mexican friends have always regarded name brand…read moregrocery store tortillas as inferior and after tasting freshly made I can understand why. The main focus of this new venture are the tortillas. Sold by the pound and warm you can understand why these are the daily bread of the Mexican diet and I expect will be in great demand. A daily entree is also available for takeout and the day I visited it was Mole with chicken. A deep rich chile based red sauce with slow roasted chicken was very well done and flavorful. The owner told me they will feature a different entree on a rotating daily basis. I'm looking forward to exploring this new addition to Corinth's culinary scene.

During that time Mi…read moreToro has gained a lot of competition but remains, in my opinion, the best and most consistent in the area. Mi Toro is hugely popular with locals as you will see by the cars in the parking lot on an average night. Food can sometimes vary but usually is very good and very reasonably priced which is why people keep coming back. Don't hesitate if something doesn't suit you to tell your waiter, they'll make it right promptly in my experience. On Tuesday and Thursday nights, they feature what I think are the best Margaritas in town at half price. Their small Margarita now at $3.99 is still a bargain and a perfect accompaniment to the food. Avoid larger sizes, multiples or pitchers unless you are sharing as a group or a designated driver. The top shelf fajitas feature skirt steak and the generous quantity make a good entree to share with two people. Quite unexpected on a Mexican menu and somewhat unusual, the hamburgers are very good and the fries are delicious. The restaurant has been remodeled and is upscale in its surroundings. Be sure to note the artwork and blown glassware lamps and fixtures.
