First thing first - refuel our gas tank. I used my sister's Fred Myer loyalty membership # to get a discount on gas. I think we saved three cents a gallon. The second time we didn't provide the number as it wasn't a big savings. In Oregon they have gas attendants to pump your gas. Years ago hubby got out of the car to pump gas and the attendant knew right away we were from California where we pump our own gas. Fred Myer is a like a Target, but on a larger scale. They sell clothes, garden supplies, household goods, food, bakery, deli etc. Their store layout is kind of weird. It's one floor. It looks more like an office building than a store at first glance. We saved $18 in groceries using my sister's Fred Myer loyalty membership #. The best edible was the Angel food cake found in the bakery department. I wished our local supermarket could replicate it.

Their home grown meats and ground beef are exceptional and full of flavor. The prices are totally reasonable. If you can't find something, they will order it for you and call you when it arrives. I love their chocolate pudding cakes! Their staff have been there for many years which says a lot. Sherm left a wonderful, amazing legacy!! But the most important aspect of the store in my opinion, was the customer service. I stopped and spoke to AT LEAST four different employees. EVERY SINGLE ONE was friendly and helpful. They told me where something was and then showed me the way. They had a great attitude and a smile on their faces. I was amazed at their hospitable and friendly attitudes. I live in Sacramento but would be tempted to drive the FIVE HOURS to this Walmart just because it was a GREAT Experience. I did not take any pictures because I thought it was going to be a quick stop. But I really enjoyed doing my shopping at this store. Even if I only bought two items and spent less than $8. They also have some specialty items I haven't been able to find other places, mainly different kinds of sauces, such as kecap manis (an Indonesian sweet soy sauce). I was overjoyed to find it here! Another main staple we get here that I have never seen anywhere else is their buckets of nutella. My husband goes through the stuff like water so I buy the big containers of it whenever I can, and at Cash & Carry they have the granddaddy bucket size of 6.5 lbs! This size lasts him quite a while, and I'm happy I don't have to buy 5 jars of nutella at a time! If you are curious, craving some different products, or love buying in bulk, then stop by Cash & Carry and see what they have on the shelves!
