Me and my buddy Cisco ordered one super wet burrito for me and he ordered two Lengua tacos and two drinks the bill was $48.73 and we were shocked mind you we've been going to both spots for over 20 years and the tacos are usually $5 each it's now $800 and wet super burrito used to be I think around $14 or $15 it's now $18 plus $2 extra charge for my carne asada meat? It's just ridiculously high and we're not cheap people we don't mind paying for good food but we both felt like we got robbed because why are we getting charged extra after we paid the price for the item if that's the case will take our business elsewhere that's price gauging to us especially when we usually eat good tacos around Hayward for $350 each just imagine you taking your family out to eat at El Taquito your paying extra charges and good luck to the regular customers let's see if your gonna continue to go there. Everything was delicious! Buche will always be my favorite here. Our son loves the quesabirria. Hubby gets 2 pastor, 2 buche. You can order a side of grilled onions to add. I don't go here much anymore. Latest visit was today. I took a chance and had the crispy tacos with carnitas. The taco shell was good but the carnitas were overcooked and burnt. I've been disappointed with take out orders in the past. There are certain things that are good but I don't think their cooks do well with all the dishes they offer. When you walk up, you walk thru their nice patio with plenty of seating. Place is nice inside also. Placed our order over the phone and it was ready when we came to pick it up. Service is okay, since it was pick up it was a quick interaction. I was not a fan of what we ordered which was chicken tacos and a quesabirria. The chicken tacos were big and had a lot of meat but the tortilla was really dry and hard and it just had pico de gallo on top which didn't taste like it was fresh and I kept bitting into weird texture pieces of chicken, and also there was some carne asada pieces mixed in it and I don't eat beef. The grill must not be cleaned properly. The quesabirria was my coworkers order and she said she wouldn't order again, and that it was not crispy at all but more of a soggy texture. Amazing service. The server was super nice, checked on us several times. She didn't rush us and gave some suggestions on what to eat. We ate outside on the patio. The weather was perfect and there were plenty of tables available to choose from. We ordered the enchiladas and a Al pastor burrito. Both were very very good! Came in for Saturday dinner about 7:30pm and got a table fairly fast. They bought over chips and 3 different types of salsa. We ordered Steak Taco with Rice, a Buche Taco and Pozole. The food came out pretty fast. The steak and Buche were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The rice had great flavor, my daughter's favorite. The Pozole had lots of tender and juice pork in it, the flavor was great and authentic. One of the best I had. The service is always great. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and bright. We stopped here from San Jose to eat after getting our car serviced. Stopped by because it was recommended to us and it wasn't a disappointment. The service was amazing. Very nice and attentive. My gf got the 2 taco plate with carnitas and a side of grilled onions. Everything was fresh and the rice was fluffy and so flavorful. I got the steak nachos and when it came I thought the accidentally gave me a family portion. Holy moly was this plate HUGE. It was so dang good though. Chips were nice a crispy. IF I CUD GIVE -0 i would I ordered caldo de pollo and two asada tacos from doordash on arrival broth was spilled all over bag, when i opened the container the top was hella greasy and mind you this is supposed to be chicken soup with veggies, all i got was hella broth and under cooked chicken, and at that the dark ugly ass meat like really?? We ordered to-go via DoorDash toda(Sunday 11/19/23) around 6:30. It took about 15 mins. Private parking lot. After we got home, a staff called us and said they forgot one of our burritos. Good thing it was only a 2 min drive so we went back to get the burrito. The staff said they will give us something for forgetting the burrito. When we arrived, they gave us the burrito and gave us $10 cash. So service is good. As for the food, it was ok. We ordered Buche wet burrito, lamb NEW QUESABIRRIA, and cabeza super burrito. We thought we ordered all dry burritos but the buche was wet...not sure if they messed up or we messed up. But the buche was so salty! We couldn't eat it. Cabeza was better but not well balanced. I was thinking about writing this review as soon as my food touched the table. The worse burrito I have ever experienced. Save yourself the trip For starters, you have to park Behind the restaurant because there is no parking in front, it is a busy Main Street so you just drive around back and it is a nice size parking lot so parking is no problem. When I walked in, the place seemed like a sketchy hole in the wall but the greeter and waitress was very sweet and prompt. When I sat down I ordered a water and the waitress brought chips and salsa right away. I knew I wanted a shrimp burrito so I ordered quickly. I ordered a shrimp burrito which contains beans rice sour cream guacamole and shrimp. When my burrito arrived, I honestly thought it was a joke, I can not wait until I post this picture but the picture does not show how small this burrito was like it was a kids meal. I felt like I got a bean and cheese burrito from Taco Bell because that's all that was in there and about 3 shrimps. I ate a little less then half and just put my napkin on my plate and asked for the check I felt so disrespected that they would even be comfortable giving me a burrito that replicates Taco Bell's, like really?
