It was a great choice and the food did not disappoint. This place was only a 10 minute walk from my hotel. It was kinda different that I had multiple servers. (Not sure how they split the tip) but that were all very nice. This place has a romantic ambiance that is perfectly suitable for a nice intimate dinner alone, a birthday dinner, or any type of dinner that requires an intimate vibe. I am such a fan of dimly lit places. I definitely recommend!

Hortensia, the owner of Hortensia Honesty, overheard our conversation and immediately came over with the kindest attitude and said, "I can make something for you." Her energy and genuine care were impeccable. She took the time to suggest ingredients and created a delicious soup specially for my husband so that he could still enjoy a flavorful meal while staying on his liquid diet. The recipe she prepared was absolutely amazing. What impressed us the most was how welcome and comfortable she made us feel. Hortensia truly made us feel at home, and her kindness and compassion are something that cannot be easily described. She went above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service. Not only is she an amazing person, but the food was also delicious, and the atmosphere and location are wonderful. We highly recommend this place--not only for the quality of the food, but also for the exceptional hospitality and care that make you feel like family.

We ordered a salad and a pizza and were delighted by the amuse buche of bruschetta offered to us. The salad had a lot of substance - we let them know we were splitting and they pre split the plate, which was nice. The crisp apples went well with the dressing and greens. The pizza was large and pretty with lots of great toppings. The crust didn't quite do it for me - felt a bit plainer, but it was certainly serviceable. Would certainly drop by again, many of the pasta dishes looked amazing.

BEWARE FOOD POISONING!…read more Walked over here for dinner because this place is constantly recommended by people in the neighborhood. All the seating is outside, which is fine. I noticed right away that the kitchen is tiny. It made me wonder how they manage to put out so much food. Service was standard. Nothing to complain about while we were sitting there, but the aftermath was a disaster. My partner and I both got extremely sick a few hours after leaving. It was pretty clearly food poisoning, likely salmonella based on the symptoms. It is very disappointing since so many people talk this place up. I will not be going back. Would really caution and avoid if older or immunocompromised.

First off you can sit inside or outside and they have it spaced really nicely for covid. Our server Pearla was amazing. I was pretty overwhelmed with the menu and she guided me in the perfect direction. They have sandwiches which come with 4 different bread options and 10 different options for dipping sauces. (4 sauces come with the sandwich).. my kinda place! The sandwich comes on a cutting board and is HUGE! Plenty even for the biggest eaters! I ordered pasta with salmon, capers, and roasted red onion. So good! We order some roasted vegetables to give us some balance. Those I'd probably skip. The table bread was off the hook. Came out warm, sliced, and individually toasted . Dipped that in the pesto and it was a dream come true. They bring out oil and vinegar with the table bread if you made the mistake of not ordering one of their sandwiches. The ambiance is really nice. Tastefully decorated with down tempo music. Going there for breakfast in the morning! Breakfast is from 10a-12p. Almost forgot the best part! Total bill was $22... USD for dinner! Would have spent three times that amount in the US.

There are about 6 amazing restaurants seemingly within 50 feet of each other. I was blown away by how inexpensive some of my selections were.
