This is a big market with lots of selection, clean and well organized. I'd like to specifically call out the pharmacy. I was picking up meds for my parents, and the people there recognized the name and asked how my parents were doing. I'm not used to this in San Diego, where no one knows your name, but it's nice to find the small town atmosphere even in a big market!

Although they were out of a lot of things, we regrouped today and were able to get more items for my in-laws. We all stayed calm and were able to get a healthy food order out to them. If I could change one thing about this store, I'd have them teach all employees on the floor to be fluent in American English. Several times I asked employees to show me where I could find an item. They had absolutely no clue as to what I was talking about. One in particular said, "I dont speak English, my friend." In perfect English but couldn't answer my question. This location was stocked with just about anything you'd need or want on a Road Trip. The place was clean and well stocked. I felt $25.00 for the large stuffed crocodile was an excellent price in today's economy. The woman that checked me out was great. She was kind caring helpful friendly and checked me out quickly and accurately. She was very welcoming with a positive attitude. She made an already great shopping trip even better.

I decided to pop into the local Grocery Outlet and have a looksie at what was on sale. Each one is locally owned so they tend to have different items. It makes it fun to go in and see what weird or interesting stuff you might find. Sometimes there are insane deals. Like 5 bags of snack cheese for $1! Yes I said it! Snack cheese for on the go yummy 5 bags for $1!!!! This GO is one of the better ones I've been to in terms of cleanliness and being orderly. They also had friendly staff which is a new thing for me. I can't get mad at my local GO's staff for being a bit rough, they have to throw out homeless people and drug addicts every single day. Anyway, the staff here were very nice and greeted me. They even asked if I liked the store and if it was my first time in it. They seemed to actually care! I wish I could have had more of that frozen food aisle but because I am working it was a no go. I did pick up a lot of Bang energy drinks for 99! Yay! At my local GO they were $1.99 so what a win! One of the flavors is "purple kiddles " which is cryptic and nonsensical to me...so I know I'm in for a treat! The beer selection didn't get my motor running but they had a sizable wine assortment. They also had the hard stuff but I didn't take the time for all that. My heart belongs to my Whistle Pig at the moment so... the heart wants what it wants! Also if you're into weird products... just don't wait around... snap up what you want because like most things, it won't be waiting around forever! Smart & Final is like a grocery store with warehouse quantity & prices! This store store has more fresh produce & better looking, more groceries and the both regular & large size products so I don't always have to go to a club store. The meats also looked better. Smart & Final also carries things like restaurant supply, foodservice, packaging and janitorial products. I used to get the butcher block paper for student use-it's cheap & works well. It's great if you need supplies for a school or job site. I am much more impressed with this Smart & Final than the former store. I recommend it & will definitely be back!
