A few minutes later we were given chips and salsa, bagged chips and salsa in a carafe. About 10 minutes later our waitress came by, she spoke so fast she was hard to understand. We ordered 2 margaritas a small and a large, Ultimate and Presidente. Drinks came quickly, both large, strong, and seemingly with no sour or margarita mix. Industry standard large heavy glasses that make you think its actually "large". 10 more minutes and the host came by to take our order. Again, he seemed so rushed it was strange. Took our order and ran off. 10 minutes later our waitress came by to take our order. When we explained, she had a pained look and told us the host was also the owner. Shortly our food came. Texanas for 2. We had made room for it all. Owner placed our food down, and removed our uneaten chips and salsa from the table. A few minutes later we stopped our waitress, asked for our chips and salsa back. Informed that that would be $3.50 for a second serving. I said no, you removed at least 1/2 our chips and salsa. She reluctantly brought us a new carafe of salsa..no more cheap chips for us! Food, consisted of something that maybe was refried beans? Grey slop with an oil slick (dollop) of cheddar cheese. Bland guac, no additives, chunks of avocado. Rice! Yellow no flavor. Some lettuce chopped tomatoes and a dollop of sour cream. Bland dry chicken strips, bland dry steak strips, seasoned overcooked shrimp (but the better part of the plate). On a bed of overcooked under seasoned onions and peppers, tortillas that were 5 or 6 inches wide, more for tacos than fajitas. Water is something you get by special request. As the restaurant filled to maybe 1/2 capacity, but 3 or 4 larger parties, the owner became more hyper, and the waitstaff often stopped near our table to discuss strategies (? not sure I don't speak Spanish), it's very upsetting to try and enjoy a meal with that going on. Once, the owner came by, hurriedly asking us if all was well, but so rushed I dared not stop him to discuss all that was wrong. Our waitress always seemed to trail him by 5 minutes or so. We had basically finished our meal, when another waitress came by and offered us to go boxes, our waitress had long since disappeared. We packed up our boxes, they cleared the table rather quickly. We sat, slowly finishing our "large" strong margaritas, waiting at least 1/2 an hour for someone, anyone to deliver a check. Mediocre food Inattentive waitstaff Overall a poor dining experience.
