This is an authentic Mexican taco/burrito place. No frills! Just a lot of tasty food for a little money. Wish we had one in Portland.

Friend and I ordered adobado burrito and pollo burrito. Came out piping hot in a few minutes. My adobado was solidly half rice, minimal smear of beans. The meats were well seasoned, but with just rice, meat, and a little refried beans, the burritos were very salty and dry. In San Diego it comes standard to include pico de gallo and guac for that variety of texture and some freshness. The chile relleno burrito = pure bliss. I don't even have anything else to say, this sums up everything I feel about this place.

Five stars, because customer service is never a disappointment! The owners are always so friendly, and never stingy with the sauce bar. When they make a mistake on my friend's order, they were genuinely sorry, and fixed our order and I love that. One of the best things of living in Santa Barba is the great Mexican food! I had El Sitio after hearing wonderful things about this place. Me being a huge fan of chicken burritos decided to get the Pollo burrito. The Burrito was one of the biggest burritios I have ever had! Makes Chipolte look like a mini burrito! The flavor was outstanding and the chicken tasted nice and fresh! Try not to come right at lunch becuase you will be in a 20-30 minute wait for this place does magnitude large crowds. I don't know goleta too well, so I am sorta mixed-up whether I visited the calle realle or fairview 'el sitio.' Bfd. It was yummy. Someone else was buying which was awesome, but our tortas were earned with hard labor. Speaking of tortas, there are like 4-5 different kinds. I had pollo (chix), dining companions had beef & the chili relleno. I am definitely going to try the chili relleno next time it looked great. That being said the chicken was really good too. These sandwiches have anaheim peppers in them, it tastes great but the heat can sneak up on you if you are a real spice wimp like myself. This restaurant has a variety of other dishes like tacos/burritos(?), so plenty of choices here. Good value. Their in-house pico pacs a whallop too, chili verde was available too. read more

This is by far my favorite El Sitio location! They are all pretty good, and all have slight differences in quality, but this is the one I'd go to if given the choice. Pretty big burritos, done right. They don't fall apart in your hands and don't require a fork or a ton of napkins like most other places in town, and the ingredients are always good. I'm a local and grew up right around the corner. I never been fond of this place and just went the other day. This place is gross, all that is good is a bean and cheese, I added chicken. They are racist and didn't want to give us chips saying they ran out for the day but then gave some to the Hispanic man after us. I wouldn't waste my time here nor recommend it to no one. My mom got a super burrito and it looked and tasted disgusting, my sister ate some and felt sick within 5 minutes. I'm surprised this is still open, guess they give better service and food to darker skin people... Staff has changed since the past two years and wow what night and day. For the worst. Go across the freeway to Camino, Dont risk getting bad service, rude hostess and get sick. I would give zero stars. read more

My favorite place for chilaquiles! Everything is solid here. Out of all the El Sitio this location is the best.

The food is good but their salsa bar is always gross looking, and the salsas are NEVER fresh. They always taste like they make huge batches and are left in the fridge uncovered ... I've come several times and I won't lie I'll continue to come because it's so close to work... Just wish the salsa was amazing. Bottom line, get the breakfast burritos, stay away from the salsa. read more

Mexican restaurant with a nondescript exterior located behind 7-Eleven. Like most Mexican cuisine, very fulfilling. The horchata was standard fare. Tried the burrito with green peppers, which was so-so. I also tried the chorizo burrito thinking the chorizo would be tasty, but I couldnt really taste it. I spent several years living in San Diego, and the thing I miss most is the little dive taco shops. El Sitio is the closest thing we have here to one of those. Everything I have ever had there is delicious, and the salsa bar is amazing. I particularly like the flautas. One thing that I find strange is the lack of consistency between this store and the one on Fairview. They have different menu items and different portion sizes, but both are great. read more

Located conveniently on the Calle Real frontage road at Ellwood Station Rd between El Canto neighborhood and Bradford neighborhood; this is my favorite Cuban-Mexican restaurant. They will make almost anything you may desire and have an extensive menu. Friendly staff and quick service makes this restaurant the go to place for that quick lunch from Dos Pueblos High School and businesses located over the 101 freeway. The food is good but It is quite overpriced and always bad service ...natchos $13 ...burrito with meat and cheese $10 ....Last time I was there ordered the $13 natchos and they forgot to put cheese on natchos..wtf? No cheese at all. I called them and politely told them what happened and the lady on the phone didn't care at all...not even a "sorry" for the mistake and was rude so I told her I would leave a review on yelp if that was the case and she said ok like she didn't care at all. This is a great place for Mexican food that tastes very home-made. My mouth is watering as I write this. The adobado is a favorite of mine and the burritos and the tortas would come next. The prices are pretty reasonable for the quality that you get. It's not much to look at atmosphere-wise,but there are plenty of places with more atmosphere around here that don't have this quality food. I would recommend to anyone. read more

This place is good! We live nearby and go there pretty regularly. It's very authentic, and the chorizo is the best! The inside isn't really much, but the food is worth it. Recommend getting it to go, unless you want to enjoy it with a beer. read more
