Local place with great dishes. Food was excellent. There was only one waitress but she was good working the whole floor. No one was kept waiting. It appears to be in an old bar or drugstore. Tables are assorted tables from the 1950 and 1960 creating an eclectic but familiar atmosphere. Highly recommended. read more

Stopped here on a road trip. Usually, we dine in Dumas or Dalhart, but I'm glad we tried El Sazon de Martha. Good food. Inexpensive. Kids ate well, and that is the key on road trip stops. Looks like it is a converted saloon with a long bar top. Service was what you'd expect in a small town, friendly if not particularly attentive. I'll definitely stop here again. read more

So happy to come through Texline today and be able to have a nice breakfast at El Saxon de Martha formerly known as Texline Restaurant. Still at the same location. Friendly service, cool, rustic decor. Always worth it to stop and take a break here. read more

Very clean restaurant with a vintage vibe. The original wood floors, tin ceiling and fun 50s-60s tables give it a great atmosphere. The food was excellent, freshly made. We were passing through and found it for breakfast. Worth the stop. I loved their huevos rancheros served with handmade tortillas. Great coffee (a must for me). The staff were very nice. Prices are very reasonable. It's on the corner but the signage is small so you have to keep an eye out for it. read more

Greta family restaurant. Food was great. Note it has a new name. But location is still the same.

Our family had breakfast here. Staff was extremely friendly, very tasty, and quick. The restaurant was very clean and reasonably priced.

I ordered a torta it was huge and delicious as a plus it came with fries. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger and it was also delicious. My children had a quesadilla and an asada taco. Nora was our waitress she was great, friendly and attentive. The whole restaurant staff was great. If you need to grab a quick delicious bite to eat make sure you stop at Texline! read more

Stopped here on our way back from a trip to Colorado and all I can say is it REALLY brought us back home! It was a lovely, quiet spot and the waitress there was very friendly and hospitable. Really quite impressed with this restaurant. We stayed above the restaurant and went several times. Now, I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because there are items that leave something to be desired, so stay clear of the American breakfast. But the loaded quesadilla with the marinated beef was something I will think about until I am back in Texline. They also have a phenomenal breakfast dish that is called a la Mexicana, I believe. Very flavorful. They make their own tortillas and the corn ones are like the ones I grew up on and haven't found them since. Wow, Texline is lucky to have this place. read more

IF YOU ARE PASSING THROUGH TEXLINE DO NOT DRIVE ON TO CLAYTON, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STOP! We were passing through on our way to Colorado and decided to give this place a shot knowing basically nothing about it and boy are we sure glad we did! Firstly, on long road trips through small towns it's hard to find quality food and this food is all homemade by the owner. Secondly, it is such a clean establishment. Nice bright ambience and the staff is incredibly helpful and kind and the prices are ridiculously cheap. Family owned and operated. I had the super burrito with carne Asada and my wife had tacos, including and insanely tasty shrimp taco that I kept stealing. The refried beans are some of the best I've ever had! My kids loved their quesadillas. It's so nice to stop and get good, clean food without any garbage additives in it in a spot that feels like home. They also have burgers, tortas, breakfast, you name it. 10/10 would recommend and we are stopping here on the way back from CO and anytime we drive through. read more

We came in with a party of 11 and no one even acknowledged us or said hello. Multiple workers walked right by us and completely ignored us. Others were too busy on their phone. After standing around waiting for a table we finally walked out. I guess they didn't want our business. Too many other businesses struggling that we would prefer to support.
