L O C A T I O N You can park on either side in the middle of Fremont Hub. If you're coming from the Staples side, just walk in the walk way towards the middle of the hub and it should be directly to the left before you go into the middle walkway. From the Dick's Sporting Goods/Five Below side, walk towards the middle walkway, turn left, walk a little, and you should see it to your right. Parking is shared all over the hub with other stores/restaurants. I found parking right in front of Dick's Sporting Goods. I N S I D E The smell of leather wafts in the air. You know it's real. They have many leather hide of different shades, sizes, types, etc. You're walking into a leather wonderland. Not only the items themselves, but what you can do with leather line the edges of the store. S E R V I C E These folks LOVE what they do and they love leather. They were warm and welcoming. Helping out when you need it but not pressuring you one way or another. They helped me out when trying to figure out how to stamp leather as well as what leather you can stamp on. You can try things to your hearts delight at least when trying out stamps. Checking out was really easy too though I don't think they had touchless payment as I had to pull out my card (maybe they did and I was just not paying attention). O V E R A L L If you ever need help with leather or doing something with leather or crafting with leather or fixing something leather, just come here. The folks here are quite knowledgeable and very excited about leather. It was definitely contagious! They do also hold some classes for leather crafting so go to their website to see what they offer. You pay up front for the service you need and what I really liked about this location is how they offer their advice on your items regardless of what it means for them. For example, when I picked up my tote, I wanted to drop off my sand colored Uggs because I had a single oil like stain on the top of the shoe but the person helping me said it was best to bring them in to be cleaned once both shoes had more dirt on them as cleaning only one could make them look different shades. The other boot was fine. No stains. Currently using them to bring back once they're both a bit more dirty. They also cleaned and sealed the leather on my Versace tote and it was included in the price of the zipper which was super nice of them! Highly recommend this location for your leather goods.

I looked at the black casual shoe, which I preferred over the black dress shoe. I also liked the price. However I wasn't sure how often I would wear the black casual shoe. At home I had a pair of black dress shoe and black casual shoe. Instead of buying a pair of casual shoes from the Men's Wearhouse I brought these pairs to A-1 Shoe Repair for shoe shining. I went here about one week about my high school reunion. When I asked about my black Florsheim dress shoe if I can add a heel protector, Randall stated due to the condition of the heel he would need to insert a new heel that costs $15, which I didn't want to pay. I then asked him how much for a shoe shine for both pairs of shoes. He said $40, which is less than a pair of casual shoes I was interested at the Men's Wearhouse. I dropped off my pair of shoes. The day before the reunion I picked my two pairs of shoes. I liked the shine on both shoes. I think overall the shine on the Florsheim stood out more. I decided to wear the black Florsheim dress shoes for the reunion not because of the shine but I felt those shoes were more comfortable to wear than the black Nike casual shoes. Overall I'm glad I came to A-1 Shoe Repair for a shoe shine for my two pairs of shoes.

Service performed was heel repair and clips to reduce wear. Pricing was 35 plus 15 for the caps. It is better than purchasing a new pair - they will last longer with the clips now. Kenneth Cole doesnt make boots sturdy anymore even though their price point is high. My previous pair lasted me over a year with heavy use. Nowadays, they'll stretch 6 months if I'm lucky.
