The service was great, they were very attentive and several waiters/waitresses take care of your table so they're quick to clean up your plates and such which I appreciated, you had space for your next dish. When we arrived, we happen to get there while a show was happening, there was music and singing and just all very colorful, it was loud and fun! The menu had a good variety of food, and the food itself was pretty tasty. We started with some appetizers and we got the huaraches and those were omgggggg finger licking goodness! Those are a must! We also had the barbacoa and it was good but kinda dry, not my fav here, I'd prob skip it. We had the chicken soup and that was great! The guacamole was kinda uneventful and was missing salt and spice. To drink we ordered 2 pitchers of aguas frescas, tamarind was one and it was nice and refreshing but the real winner was the Horchata, that one was made just right! For dessert we had the helado de mamey and that was really really good! Price range is on the higher end BUT with the show and the service you can see why. I'd def recommend visiting this place at least once!

Every time we're in Mexico City, we HAVE to stop here - it's the law :) On this last visit to see my family, it was also my husband's first time to Mexico City so I was really excited for him. They have shows on weekends so make a reservation in advance to get a good table near the stage. On this last visit we were a group of 15. Their star dish is the barbacoa. It's not to everyone's liking but it's worth a try. Their carnitas are also delicious. They had a 13 piece mariachi band this night, and I LOVE mariachi. They also had a play going on w/the mariachi band. This restaurant experience was a highlight for my husband. They have an indoor playground for the kids. The drinks were good. they also have cafe de la olla (Mexican coffee). Lots of foreigners come here as well. On this night, there were folks visiting from Switzerland and other countries. As you'll notice, if it's your first time here and you're coming from abroad or celebrating something special, it's tradition to pass a napkin to the MC, with a note of what you're celebrating etc. and they'll announce it. My husband didn't know this tradition and my mom wrote a note for him ;) So he was super surprised when the MC called him by name in front of the whole restaurant and they welcomed him to Mexico City :) I was pleasantly surprised to see the staff were very considerate and conscious of covid-19. All of the servers were wearing masks and a face shield. All of the non-server staff had masks. You don't see the shield anymore in the US but was so happy to see it here. I felt a lot safer. Also throughout the restaurant, you'll see a wall of old photos of the owners with famous Mexican celebrities who have dined at this restaurant. If you're in Mexico City, definitely stop here!

I recommend doing this and sharing or serving family style so that you can try all the amazing dishes they have to offer. The service is excellent. And even though you might be too full, make sure to order the churros! Whether you sit inside or outside this restaurant is so beautifully appointed, you'll be pleased.

There were 6 of them, all with their heads on, but it was easy to remove them. Came with a small salad, some grilled onions, cubed avocado, and a separate plate of grilled asparagus. For dessert, we opted for the cajeta crepes - a big success for my palate and a terrible blow to my calorie count of the day. It was sinfully delicious goodness. The cajeta's flavor profile was absolutely fabulous - unparalleled richness. The crepes were also delicate yet substantial. Garnished with different berries, this plate is as pleasing to the eyes as it is to the palate. The ambiance of this place is gorgeous. Situated on the 2nd floor, you can overlook the street. There is an opening for fresh air to come through. Music is kind of on the loud side, but it makes for a more fun vibe in an overall classy venue.
