Good food, cold beer This restaurant was recommended by our apartment host and it was a really good option after a long day walking around Mexico City. The beer was cold and the food was excellent. We did think that the portions were a little small and a little pricey by Mexican standards.

Spectacular margarita, amazing outdoor vibe, quick attentiveness. I highly recommend to everyone who loves margaritas and is looking for a "real/true" margarita.

We ventured here prior to our Day of the Dead festivities as it was only a few blocks away from the parade. For nearly our entire trip to CDMX, we were plagued by rain, but on this morning, the rain was holding off so we opted to sit in the Backyard's lovely outdoor space. It has great plant content, by the way! Since it was mid-morning, we stuck to brunch. I ordered a breakfast burger, delicious! The slabs of sliced meat were hearty! The most exciting part of my meal was my pumpkin spice latte. Please see my image for reference. They served it in a tiny pumpkin. I'm easily delighted, but this takes the cake. So adorable and even more than that, super warm and comforting. The staff was lovely and we ended our meal just as it began to rain, so perfect timing.

Wow. My friend recommended this place to me as a lunch spot close to our workspace. I saw that it was open before 1pm (kind of a rarity here as most lunch places only open at 1pm), so decided to check it out. The staff were very friendly and let me know that lunch was not being served yet, but that they were still doing breakfast. I got the chilaquiles and they came with brisket. Usually I'm kind of wary about ordering items with brisket, but this came out and it didn't look fatty at all. The brisket had a delicious smokiness and was actually the exact flavor I have been missing from my Midwest BBQ. The whole meal was VERY filling. Normally I need an afternoon snack, but this satisfied me until a 7pm dinner. Tip: They have wifi! The outside looks cute, but isn't open until lunch.

SOLID barbque! I was quite surprised. The ribs are good and the brisket is solid. I'm a TEXAN and was quite impressed. Roma norte, CDMX, Condesa area it's worth the walk. Excellent selections and AMAZING staff. OH, they make a lot of drinks that aren't on the menu, just ask. Brush up on conversational spanish! Comida para llevar por favor.

Mocha with a touch of cinnamon

Their mocha is superb. Its flavor profile has just the right mix of espresso, chocolate, cinnamon, cream, and sweetness. Definitely more cinnamon than you'll find in your average mocha, and quite unique in that regard. Other highlights include the back patio, the hip decor, the opportunity to enjoy hookah, and the friendly staff.

The brisket is very tasty! And don't pass up the green salad. Yum!

Great seating inside or out. Every dish was prepared from scratch down to the homemade mustard. When we walked in they were preparing noodles by hand for the chicken noodle soup. We didn't order it this time around but will def try on our next visit. The brisket was a taste of home (TX) and truly hit the spot. The service was excellent and the bottle of house wine was delish. Thank you to the staff at the Backyard for an excellent experience in every facet of dining out. We will be back!

Loved the latte and chilaquiles. Just like I like them, a combo of crisp and soft. A little spice in the sauce.

This restaurant was just a short walk from my hotel in Roma Norte-along the walk I think I counted 4 or 5 Michelin rated restaurants on my path-they are everywhere in Mexico City. When we arrived at the restaurant they seated us right away and I noticed how great the atmosphere was in the restaurant-this was for sure a date night or celebratory type of place-I wouldn't say fancy or upscale but definitely a step up from my restaurants I went to so far in Mexico City. Upon sitting down we started with a couple of really pretty cocktails-. Strawberry Fields-A gin drink that is a refreshing twist on a Negroni-I enjoyed it very much and may have been the best cocktail I had in Mexico City.($185.00) Margarita De Perlas-a tequila drink with lime and orange infusion topped with pearls of tapioca-It was a great spin on a margarita with the added slightly sweet taste of tapioca pearls-decent drink.($220.00) For dinner we ordered a few items. Bowie Burger-a burger featuring a top sirloin and wagyu cross patty topped with Swiss cheese, roasted poblanos, bacon, guacamole and tortilla chips-This burger was so delicious-perfectly cooked and seasoned,so juicy-it was spicy but incredibly flavorful -loved it.($275.00) Curly Fries-Perfectly seasoned, super crunchy-very tasty ($85.00) Caesar Salad-well made salad with great tasting dressing and crunchy croutons.($130.00) This place is a very special restaurant in a city that is filled with special restaurants-I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mexico City, specifically the Roma Norte neighborhood-a true joy.

The American Legion Post #2 in Mexico, established in 1920, has been located since the early 1960s in an ornate early 20th-century building at 25 Celaya, Condesa. After World War I, over 70,000 combat veterans moved to Mexico City to start a new life and escape the pains of war. Seventeen of these veterans decided to form the American Legion in Mexico City, as shown in the enclosed photo. Eventually, they settled on a building which used to be a brothel. Visit the second floor and terrace to see the rooms frequented by the Johns. It is not clear what connection these veterans had to the brothel, which was nicknamed "Lover's Roost."

It started with ubereats and getting my torta delivered with it on the side in small amount and not dipped as it is done in. I have the WhatsApp of the owner so I asked. Indeed the medium and hot cannot be dipped for a delivery because of the ingredients of the sauce. So I decided to take my sister and dine in so we could get a real experience of the sauce and meat. We got the tortas with side on side...and again small tiny cup and big torta. WTF? We complained and literally the last told us it was inside the fried chicken. It wasn't but we didn't want to be the angry gringos so we ate and left. But it still happens. Eat in. Dine out. Delivery. Sweet owner. Genuinely excited to have a good bbq fries chicken in cdmx. Never going again cause I have a WhatsApp history of promises to fix it and still no solution. Nunca más. It's a shame cause when prepared as it should be it is awesome. Sad.
