Great place for breakfast. Came here with three friends and we had a great experience. All the meals come with coffee or tea and orange juice or a fruit plate. Everything is prepared fresh and quickly. You will have a great experience. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast.

We absolutely loved our experience here. Started out with our server being so nice and patient, explaining the menu to us in English, much appreciated. Every food item tasted better than the last. Fresh papaya came with every order and it was the freshest we had ever had. Our server suggested the corn pie, it was incredibly delicious with the papaya. Every item tasted like it had been made from scratch. Definitely recommend this place.

A group of 4 of us came here on a wed at 11:30am as we had read reviews. We were the only people the whole time we were there. It's the best meal we have had in Mexico City so far. I don't know all the names as I mostly pointed and agreed but I had a portobello and eggs with a red sauce and a thick yellow cheese that was amazing. Seems to be a family. I had coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Everything was very fresh and amazing. Whole group agreed. It doesn't look great from the outside but give it a shot.

    Pollo chilaquiles rojas

Ordered the Chilaquiles in Verde and Rojas and both were amazing. Then we chose the papaya and I had tea. My husband had a coffee. Everything was great.

Absolutely AMAZING!!! the food, the owners, and the overall vibe of the restaurant! Can I just start by saying that Mario and his wife Eli are the most kind and accommodating people. If you are a tourist and don't speak much Spanish, they will go above and beyond to still make sure you are heard and cared for. They make sure your order is right and do their best to make sure you are happy (: The food is just WOW!!!! The prices were great, the croissants were crispy and the bread was warm (and that's just the surface) Everything is cooked to perfection and I promise you that you will not be disappointed, if your visiting Mexico please stop by for some brunch, lunch or dinner!!! Perfect perfect ¡¡¡Absolutamente increible!!! Perfecto perfecto perfecto

I am a big fan of the papaya at breakfast, however the orange juice was also incredible!

Maybe Lardo is better for breakfast, but we didn't feel it was fully worth the hype for lunch. We'd…read moremade a reservation in advance for Saturday at 2PM. The interior was brightly lit with a large beautiful bar, and had the vibe of a French cafe. We were brought out some complimentary (pita-like) bread, which was nice, but would have been better with something like olive oil to dip it in. My friend and I ordered 3 items to share - the Ricotta Stuffed Squash Blossoms, Eggplant Parmesan, and Barbacoa. Portions were on the smaller side, but this was the perfect food quantity for us. The Ricotta Stuffed Squash Blossoms were fine but a little bland. I liked the Eggplant Parmesan and Barbacoa, but neither really blew my mind. For everything I'd heard about Lardo, I felt like our experience was good but not amazing. Would check it out for breakfast to compare!

This was, unfortunately, my worst meal in CDMX, and because it was also my most anticipated, that…read moremade it extra disappointing. We arrived a little early for our Monday night reservation and had to wait outside since they were busy. The ambiance inside is intimate- definitely a date-night vibe with tables very close together. We ordered the pizza, stuffed squash blossoms, kebab taco, and truffle gnocchi. The stuffed squash blossoms ended up being the most flavorful dish of the night- and that's not saying much, because most of the flavor came from the tomato sauce. The pizza was good, but nothing special. It was satisfying in a "carbs will save me" kind of way. We ordered the kebab taco cooked medium, but mine came out medium rare. If this were a steak, I wouldn't have minded, but ground beef at that temperature carries a food safety risk. After reading multiple reviews about people getting sick here, I wasn't comfortable taking that chance. I asked for it to be recooked, and the waitress was kind and brought out a fresh plate. It was decent, but again, nothing special. The truffle gnocchi was where things really went downhill. When it hit the table, it smelled like mildew. I know truffle can be strong and earthy, but this didn't seem right. I forced myself to take one bite so I wasn't judging off smell alone, but it tasted exactly how it smelled. My friend and I didn't even eat 1/8 of the dish, and it was the most expensive item we ordered. Low key felt like our waitress should've asked why we didn't eat the dish nor ask for it to be boxed but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The dessert, however, was the best thing I had all night. Truly divine. Now I can't tell if it was actually top-tier or if I was just so hungry and desperate for something good that it felt that way in the moment- but either way, it was the one bright spot. Overall, it just didn't live up to the hype which made it sting even more.

Even though they have…read moreseveral locations across CDMX, we stumbled upon one just a short walk from our hotel--and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day already earned bonus points. What really says it all? We loved it so much, we went back the very next day. This was the only restaurant we repeated during our week-long stay, which should tell you everything. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated--fresh, flavorful, and something for everyone. We tried the croissant sandwich, salmon deli nut sandwich, chutney mango deli sandwich, santos ahogados, fig chipotle deli sandwich, pear honey deli sandwich, and the spicy tuna deli sandwich. The sandwiches came with a standard simple salad. Every single item was delicious, well-balanced, and satisfying in that "clean but filling" way. The tables had two delicious spicy chili oil like condiments which elevated each of these dishes. And the juices--WOW. So refreshing, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The perfect complement to the food and ideal for starting (or resetting) your day. If you're visiting Mexico City, Ojo de Agua is an absolute must. With such a wide menu, you're guaranteed to find something you'll love--and very likely come back for more. Highly recommend!

We tried a few juices, the chicken tomato salad and the salmon tacos. The salad was huge with a big portion of chicken, avocado and many toppings for a reasonable price. The tacos were smaller but flavorful. Taking off a star because my salad arrived almost 15 minutes before my boyfriend's tacos arrived and the restaurant was pretty empty. The lights were out in the bathroom and in part of the restaurant, so not sure if they were dealing with a partial power outage and impact to the kitchen. Still recommend for the food!
