Service also had a hiccup--I was charged for extra pico and sour cream that never arrived. Not the end of the world, but frustrating nonetheless. All in all, while my meal was tasty and my son enjoyed his birthday, I can't say I had the complete Mexican dining experience I look forward to. The employees are always friendly and welcoming, and that's one thing I can count on every time I visit. The food can occasionally be hit or miss. I've had quesabirria that was very fatty and had pieces that I really couldn't eat, and on another visit my food came out a little colder than I would have liked. Other times, though, the food has been really good. Overall, I still enjoy eating here and have had good dining experiences. The friendly service is definitely a plus, but I'd love to see a little more consistency with the food.

Our server had an attitude from the onset. When we requested water and lemon, one with ice and the other with no ice he acted annoyed. We received our food and the French fries were not done and there was no sour cream as my wife had ordered. My enchiladas were in corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas. I sent them back and my wife sent her half-cooked French Fries back. By this time the manager had been apprised that there was a problem with the food. He brought the fries back and they were still uncooked and looked like the portion had been cut in half. The flour cilantro enchiladas hardly had any cilantro or tomatoes, onions, jalapeños stuffed in the enchiladas. I called the manager over and showed him the paltry amount of food and the uncooked fries. He told us "you ordered this and you're going to pay for it"! And grabbed his phone like he was going to call the police. We sat there and waited for the police to come. He brought the receipt for $26 and some change and said this is what you owe. I told him we didn't receive what we ordered and that we were not paying for the horrible food brought to us and the service from a waiter that had "rocks in his jaws" the entire time he was serving us. The Manager then began telling us we came there to start trouble and to get out and never come back as he didn't want business from people like us. What was he "implying" that being Black he didn't want our business any longer? We left the restaurant and got into our car.
