We went here on Easter day and it was crowded with only two servers working...despite that, food was awesome and excellent service. We ordered Al ambre and steak Mexicana. When my family and I pulled up I wanted to leave, this restaurant is connected to a hotel and I just wasn't feeling it but im rating it 5 stars cuz it was so much more then what I expected. I fell in love with the salsa, and maybe it's because I just finished a day paddle boarding at Nolte State Park so I was hungry, but everything tasted so fresh and so perfectly hot and cheesy. One of our friends suggested this place for our double date margarita night and everyone seemed disappointed except me. The place is located inside an inn. Yelp states that this location is open until 11 pm but they are actually only open until 9 pm on a Friday night. When we arrived, they were able to seat us immediately. The menu is pretty lengthy. They have specialty mexican and american food, but more mexican specialty than american. My fiance and our friends ended up ordering margaritas while i ordered a pina colada. The pina colada tasted more like a smoothie. One of our friends ordered a Strawberry Margarita blended and she noted that it was like a slushie. Our other friend ordered a plain margarita and noted that there was much more ice than the margarita itself. My fiance ordered the Strawberry Margarita as well and noted that it wasnt as fruity as he had expected. Besides the alcohol disappointment, everyone except me, seemed disappointed in their food. My fiance and I ordered the Huevos con Chorizo while our friends ordered the Carne Asada Taco Salad and Tacos Al Pastor. The one that ordered the salad ended up finishing his while his wife didnt. She thought the tacos lacked flavor. The husband who ordered the salad said that it tasted bland and was just typical salad with chips, but he didnt mind his meal. My fiance thought that the chorizo was flavorful. I loved the chorizo as well. With the mix of eggs it just tasted so interesting. He just didnt care for the flour tortillas nor the sides of rice or beans as he said its nothing special. I just loved mixing it all into the tortilla. Staff was sweet and didnt mind us staying until close to catch up. They let us be for the most part until they dimmed the lights and it was our time to go. Overall, nobody says they will come back. We came in right at 12. When they opened. We were sat pretty fast. We had our baby with us. I had to wonder around for a high chair. Instead of one being brought to us or being told where I can find one. When the waitress came by. We placed our order and as I'm still ordering she starts walking away. I had to flag her down to complete my order. I asked for plain chicken and tortillas for my 10 month old. They brought out my wife's drink. And only tortillas. No water. Water finally comes. Tortillas come. No chicken. Had to ask again. Our meals come out. No chicken. Asked again for chicken. Waited a while. No chicken. When they top off the water I had to ask again for plain chicken. She brings out chicken they used for their enchiladas. Whatever. Then I had to ask 3 times for the check and to be cashed out. Horrible horrible horrible service. Will not be back. Stopped by for a late lunch. Their restaurant is located inside the GH (Guesthouse) hotel. Service was outstanding as there wasn't too many guests at the time. From what I could see they have an upper floor dining area that might be used for larger parties. Otherwise, their dining room is full of colorful decorated tables and chairs. I had their taco and enchilada combo. Their ground beef lacked spices and flavor. However, adding their house salsa was their true savior. Without it, it would've been quite bland. read more

This restaurant is located inside the hotel in downtown, and when you walk in, you get a huge whiff of old, wet man smell. I was really turned off by the smell and hoped it was a fluke, but when I went out to the lobby for the bathroom and came back in, the same smell persisted. The restaurant itself is your Americanized Mexican restaurant with the decorations and bright colors and whatnot. Our server was very nice and the food came out quickly. Portions were indeed large and the food itself wasn't bad. My husband's Chile relleno had the tiniest Chile inside, which was a bummer. My flautas were supposed to be beef but I got chicken and decided to eat them anyhow. Largest flautas I've ever had! This is where the addiction for Mexican food all began!!! I have to be honest...we eat here ALOT. No matter what day or time we have never experienced a bad meal. We all definitely have our favorites....mine is the steak/chicken fajitas with flour tortillas. The wife is all about the arroz con pollo & my oldest sticks with the chicken enchilada. Every time they are ordered they are just as good as the last time. One of my favorites is the fact that they have negra modela ON TAP!!!! The atmosphere is always fantastic & they are all beyond friendly. We are treated like family & everyone there goes out of our way to give my youngest (10mo) extra attention. The only reason for the 1-Star deduction is due to the fact that recently (the last month or so) the time it takes to get our food after ordering has become longer & longer. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We got our water, chips, salsa, bean dip, and pick de Gallo ASAP. They checked on us frequently until we were ready to order. Our food came fast and looked yummy. I would have preferred less melted cheese but I forgot to ask. Food was good not great. A bit bland but piping hot. Overall I'd say it was good food for Enumclaw and if you're in Eden go and you want Mexican and then go here I think you'll be happy it was really brightly colored inside which was cool too. When they brought us our platter we had forgot to ask about if they use the lard in their beans which they do and they brought us a separate plate of whole beans without us even having to ask which was nice. Came here with a friend who's lactose intolerant after a day up on the mountain, the person greeting us was very friendly and quickly got us a table, after that things just didn't go well. Our waitress was slow, rude and got our orders wrong. I hate complaining in restaurants! But when you ask specifically for an ingredient to be removed due to an allergy it's important (cheese). After asking for a replacement meal without cheese we got attitude in return. We did get that meal replaced but this experience was not pleasant. WOW.. Stopped in to get something to eat while wife's car was being looked at down the street. It wasn't busy by any means only about 5 other tables with people. I was seated right away and asked if I would like a drink. Of course I said yes.. Asked for Gold margarita. This is really good Mexican food. My new favorite is the fajita taco salad - it has so many delicious veggies, and mushrooms! A first for Mexican food - but it goes! Their pico is different than any others I've had but it rocks. I could eat tubs of it. The have great costumer service and I'm glad we have such awesome Mexican food so close. Their portions are also large. The only I haven't loved is the shredded chicken but otherwise it's all good. Give it a try! read more

Not really many restaurants to choose from out in the claw, this one is inside of a hotel & the food was just as good as any other tex-mex place you go to. Service was good, we had a large group & had reservations & everything was set up for us when we arrived. Seating area is pretty small, but manageable. We were served our drinks quickly & the food probably 15-20 minutes after ordering, which with a group of 5+ that was pretty good. I had the chicken fajitas & split it with someone & we still couldn't finish. Portion sizes are huge, but they typically are at any Mexican joint you go to. I'll definitely be back if I need to find a place to eat out in Enumclaw. If you're out that way, stop here. It's not too hard to find (its in the only none dumpy hotel they have in town). read more

Didn't get offered any more. Pico de Gallo was tasteless. The table of 8 next to us also got one small basket of chips. Son ate mealy, previously frozen fries. Chicken enchilada sauce was meh. DIdn't really even taste like chicken. Not sure if the refried beans were canned. They tasted completely blah but a few of them were kind of crunchy. Husband said the vegetarian quesadilla was pretty decent. Nobody refilled pops or water. Husband resorted to pirating my water. After we finished eating, we waited on churros. By now it WAS busy. Then we waited more. Then a bit more. Then the cold, soggy inside churros finally arrived. Those tasted kind of like bad pancakes. I've had worse food, but it wasn't great and it took beyond forever. The food is excellent and even though you get Americanized version of Mexican food (just like anywhere else in WA), you do get some options on the menu here that are not as common in other Mexican restaurants in the States - for example Tamales. Very good by the way! I am a vegetarian and I have to say that typically I do not struggle to find something to eat in restaurants but I also normally do not have as many options. Nevertheless, here I never know what to choose because their vegetarian selection is great and everything I have tried so far was so good! My favorite is their fajitas or spinach burrito. Their guacamole is delicious too! Sames goes for Margaritas. And I also love that at the end, they bring you a little dessert on the house. Wanted to fill up before our concert at White River Amphitheatre. El Ranchito is located at the hotel we stayed at-Guesthouse in Enumclaw. Large drinks at a reasonable price. I ordered the Chicken En Mole dinner special. Just the way I like a true mole- sweet with a little heat. Comes with rice, beans, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and your choice of corn or flour tortillas. I chose corn. I put a little of everything from my plate into the tortilla and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. And the dish was not overloaded with cheese as many of the other reviewers commented on. Since they don't seem to serve pork here, he ordered the Beef Carnitas- they were not so good. The meat was over cooked and a little dry. Luckily all the veggies along with the refried beans, guacamole, shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes helped a bit. He had the flour tortillas and they tasted fresh and not from a package. .we came here today after our hike. We ordered fajitas for 2 with chicken and shrimps. The quantity of chicken and shrimps it was so small we were overwhelmed with onions and green bell peppers. We special order a whole "veggie" bean and rice burrito with burrito sauce and cheese with a side of guacamole and sour cream. It's the best. For those avoiding pork refried beans have lard which is pork fat so the clean alternative is the vegetarian whole beans which they gladly substitute. The photo is half to go. Super huge. read more

We found this place on YELP and decided to try them. We were pleasantly surprised! It's located in the GH Guesthouse. It has a pleasant ambiance and the plates are very generous servings. The chips n Salsa were really good! I had the Combination plate w/Chimichanga & Enchilada. My favs were the Whole Beans & side of Guacamole. The Chimi had lots of chicken in it & the flavor of the ground beef enchilada was very tasty. My bf had the Sopitos. These were delicious and had lots of chicken also. We had to ask for a to go box. This is definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in the claw (and there are several). Cute place in the only non-dive hotel in town......Service is excellent. Drinks are large, tasty, strong and inexpensive!! Love both the margaritas and sangria. Food is reasonably priced and the portions are large. Last time I had the carne asada platter (rare) and it was excellent. Will be back, need to try the tortilla soup! read more
