Came with a large group (over 20 of us) for a big team dinner, and although the service was friendly and impressively organized for such a large group, the food was unimpressive for the most part.
I started with the krabbenkremesuppe (shrimp bisque), which was actually fairly good. It had a few small shrimp in it, and a few roasted potatoes, which made it filling and delicious. The second course was a small green salad with a tomato slice and some onion slices. It was pretty unimpressive.
The main course I chose was the Paella Valenciana, which was at least 3 portions of paella studded with meat, shrimp, squid, mussels, and clams. It looked amazing and impressive, but didn't taste very good. Mostly, it was overcooked, which meant that the rice was mushy, the squid was dried out and tough, and the clams and mussels were pretty torched. This was a real disappointment. For dessert most of us had the flan, which was actually pretty good.
The space itself is nice (very nautical in theme) and quite large. There's a big aquarium in one corner of the room with some impressively large lobsters, crabs, and shrimp/crawfish, which is worth checking out.
All-in-all, it was fine, but not amazing. read more
