El Puertito is about the oysters. Fresh oysters, shucked to order. It's not a huge place and they don't have much on the menu other than oysters and a couple of beer taps and quite a few varieties of wine. That's okay. You're here for the oysters and that's what they do. Not cheap at a bit over €2 each, but worth it.
Stumbled upon this restaurant as we were ending our pintxos crawl for the night and couldn't resist going in. They are all about the fresh oysters and boy they are so good! The staff was very helpful, asked us what type of qualities and flavors we liked in our oysters, offered some suggestions and shucked them right there and then for us. We had three kinds of oysters, all French, all delicious. The oysters are not cheap but they are definitely worth the money. It was a nice, refreshing and different addition to our evening food escapade.
Honestly the best oyster I've eaten in all my life. And for cheaper than some other places. Had two glasses of excellent tzakoli and 6 oysters and maybe could have stayed for another 6. Not a huge place but then again it doesn't need to be. You don't need to hang out for forever and eat oysters you can kind of slurp them down and bolt. Which it seems like is the right thing to do either way. People are waiting and it's hard to blame them - the food is outstanding. read more
I was just exploring the city and this little shop caught my eye. It was very modern and updated and tucked away so perfectly. I love oysters!! So this was a perfect little appetizer for dinner. Since dinner is usually served at 9pm this was perfect to curve my appetite. They have oysters from france, portugal, and iranaia. I have never had oysters from those waters so I needed to try it. And I am glad I did. The gentleman at the counter did speak english so I was able to tell him how I like my oysters. I told him I usually like them briney but didn't mind trying some sweet ones. He came out with my flight of oysters and labeled them so I knew which were which. He told me to try them from most sweet to briney. I ended up liking the sweet one better. My favortie was the regal irania! I ordered 2 more after I finished my flight. read more

A nice little stop in to try the local tapas. You will love it if you like anchovies, me...not so much. I was glad the cheese didn't have a strong goat cheese flavor. Could have enjoyed more of the ham. read more
