Was in the area for work. Have to say, for the infamous Compton, the area isn't that bad. However, I would definitely still avoid coming out in later hours, just because of the neighborhood.
But due to the need to eat as a human being, I must venture out there! So I made the best I could and found this place that is only about two blocks away from client site.

So I ordered a dozen fresh oysters. They were served with loads of ice and a few slices of lemon, so as to keep it cold. Their sauces that they put in with the box is rather unique. I can't exactly pinpoint it, but its like a spicier version of Tobasco sauce.
In terms of quality of oysters, they were merely passable. They dub it "fresh", but you can tell its been in the fridge for awhile base on the texture alone. Being able to literally taste fresh seafood in Taiwan (an archipelago that is surrounded by the sea), this is barely passable for me. Would not come back just for the oysters. However, my co-workers that went with me said their tacos are worth checking out! read more
