Birthday girl riding a unicorn pony

An amazing family who provides a magical service that comes to your home. I made contact w this company through Yelp and Osbaldo was super easy to make arrangements with. They brought 2 beautiful, well-behaved mini ponies dressed like unicorns with beautiful saddles. They were super nice and patient with the kids, explained pony thinking, and even coaxed some shy kids closer to the animals. They made my daughter feel so special on her birthday and I would happily use them again, and recommend highly. I was surprised when they let the children ride the ponies! That was an unexpected

Son, birthday boy with special needs that we're VERY MUCH accommodated. Our appreciation is with you!

So first, the response to my request was a.s.a.p. Not only that (mind you it was late at night like 12am and I was searching due to a cancellation) I also got booked. When the couple showed up I explained "my son has autism and makes many noises as he's non verbal if it would frighten the horses or mmmake them uncomfortable". After his first ride, they continued to suggest my son ride the pony the entire time as he didn't understand sharing due to his disability and just completely accommodated his special needs leaving our second rented pony as the swap out. A+!!!!!! They walked around for two whole hours with our children/guest and I just have to say the PONIES ARE BEAUTIFUL, the couple was professional and kind, and the service was just amazing all around. I was very happy and appreciate them both for their time and help to give my son and his family/friends a special day. Thank you soooooo much!! You brought so much joy to us today!!!!! We are extremely grateful not only that you were here for us but that we supported a family that is very mindful and care so we'll for your animals. Your amazing and your reviews prove it!

El pony charro was a fantastic company to work with!! Professional, friendly, on time, etc. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to have ponies for their party! Ponies looked great and were well controlled. Made a great memory for my family/children to cherish for years to come! Price was also wonderful!! Fully recommend!

El Pony Charro was the best part of our Great Granddaughter 3rd Birthday. The excitement on the children faces when the pony walked in. To be able to gallop and ride a pony will live on forever in their memories. Thank you so much, for your kindness and gentleness with the children. Patricia

We booked the el pony charro for my son's birthday , and we totally recommend this party rental . So we called them to make Reservation and picked the pony , and they arrived on time with the pony . Kids have a lot of fun !

    Fun experience

I hired El Pony Churro for my granddaughter's 13th birthday. I was quite impressed. First of all, they were on time, the horses were very clean and healthy, the two young men who guided the horses were very respectful, nice and did a fantastic job. If you are considering hiring this company, it's a fantastic choice.

Absolutely, 5 stars, without a doubt, for El Pony Charro! I rented them for two hours at my daughter's 3rd birthday and it was a great experience. So here's the thing I realized after looking into something like this for probably a month straight: most places won't respond to you, let alone give you a quote, and when they do get back to you with a quote, it is an outrageous cost that makes you question wanting to do this activity in the first place. El Pony Charro was the opposite of all this. I asked for a quote via yelp. They got back to me almost immediately. Then we started conversing through text, and they were always responsive and easy to get a hold of. Very upfront with details. They had me pick which pony we wanted, and we went with Barbie who is the beautiful tan one with white hair. The owner, I believe his name is Ubaldo, is excellent, friendly and makes sure to work with you on the details. I wasn't sure where or what time we were going to do the party and he was okay waiting on those details without taking a deposit or anything. Or date was locked in. This was so reassuring, because honestly with COVID, we weren't sure we would be able to make this kind of party happen, so there was no risk in booking him when I found him. But it all worked out and we couldn't be happier. They arrived on time, stayed the whole time and made sure the kids got to say goodbye to Barbie before she left. They even dressed her up as a unicorn with no extra cost. Which is how it should be right! Because they reuse all that stuff, why should I pay more for them to just put it on. One place wanted to charge $25 just for the headdress. Fernando, I believe was his name, is Ubaldo's son who helps walk the pony around with the kids on it. He was very friendly and patient with the kids. They do charge a fee if they have to travel to you (which they did for us, but this fee was still much less than any other pony rental I found) and only take cash which wasn't a problem, but just FYI. Fernando told us that they also rent out full size horses for the same prices, and hoanestly, we might try to do something with them again in the future! Great experience, especially for my daughter and her friends.

El Rey surprised our horse loving daughter after school and gave her a ride home :).

Best birthday gift ever, and the staff was awesome. Prompt, priced right, and professional. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to do something a little different and special to rent from El Pony Charro.

I called around to many other pony ranches in the greater Bay Area and everyone was either unresponsive or booked for my daughter's birthday weekend. I was referred to El Pony Charro by a pony ranch in Sacramento who wanted $500 to make the trip. Considering that our party was for our 5-year old and about 10 of her friends, that's pretty steep. They referred me to El Pony Charro and I'm so glad I called! For half the price, they brought a pony for 2+ hours and did an amazing job. Every child had multiple opportunities to ride the hand-lead pony in our backyard. I don't think there was a single child who didn't leave with a HUGE smile. Some of the adults were more excited about the pony than the children. El Pony Charro was very professional and even picked up the pony poop on the way out. Thanks, El Pony Charro!

Update: We just ended the party and the horse was a hit! Everyone asked how much it was and we're shocked at the price. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

By far the best company to hire when looking for some great vibing entertainment. They were so good with the kids and getting those pictures in for the parents/gram!! Very easy bookings. Great prices!! Fast response to text. Very reliable and right on time. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The whole neighborhood came out to see their beautiful ponies!!

I grew up going there as a kid, and now getting to bring my own child feels really full circle. There's something so nostalgic and magical about it, one of those places that truly spans generations. From the rides to the animals to the play areas, there's just enough variety to keep kids entertained without it feeling chaotic. My child absolutely loves it every time we go. What I appreciate most is how it still holds onto that classic charm while staying clean, well-kept, and family-friendly. The food is pretty good, too! You must place the printed hardcopy parking ticket on the car dashboard as there may be parking compliance enforced to avoid being fined. Depending on the day and time that you go, the parking lot seems to get full earlier in the day when the park opens at 10:00 am. However, there was plenty of parking available around 11:30 am on a Saturday morning. Admission It varies on the age of the guest that determines the admission price. Children under 23 months are free. They do allow strollers, wagons, and outside food/drinks. You can also purchase an annual membership if you buy a daily admission ticket and upgrade it. There's an entrance area for regular admission and a separate entrance for memberships. Once you have the physical ticket on-hand, there's a separate line where an employee will scan the ticket. I hosted a party here and reserved the Whistling Woods picnic site, which accommodates 80-100 people. Based on the event package chosen, I was able to buy tickets at a wholesale price for $14 each (instead of the $22 general admission for adults and children over 24 months old). There's a $25 fee for will call where you pay for guests to pick up their physical tickets on the day of the event. Alternatively, you can pay extra to pick up the physical tickets in advance and distribute it yourself. In total, the total costs for the event was $1,200. Guests who attended the party can come at any time during park hours the day of the reserved event (ex. Sunday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm). The reservation time that I booked was from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm and was given 30 minutes prior to the reservation to set up. There was a discrepancy advised by the staff during my reservation process that I would have 30 minutes to break down the event after my reserved time. However, the Happy Hollow dedicated staff arrived at 2:30 pm to advise that my party needed to break down the area and vacate the picnic site by 3:00 pm. There was dedicated staff to help provide carts to transport personal belongings and they came with plates, table covers, and utensils for the prepaid event. Park There's a variety of activities that both adults and children can do in Happy Hollow ranging from the following: animal zoo (it's not a petting zoo), rides for children, adults must accompany if the child does not meet the age requirement, picnic areas, benches/tables to eat, and several playgrounds for all ages. There's also an onsite cafe if you plan to dine at the park or bring your own food, drinks, and snacks. The park is well-maintained and fairly clean overall.

We had originally booked a bounce house, but due to rain, we had to cancel at the last minute. Less than 24 hours before the party, I reached out to Bunny Gurus hoping for a miracle -- and that's exactly what we got. They responded immediately, had availability, and were incredibly accommodating despite the short notice. From the very first message, they were kind, knowledgeable, and quick to answer all of my questions, which immediately put me at ease during a very stressful moment. On the day of the party, they arrived early to set up fencing and a canopy on our front lawn. The setup was absolutely beautiful and so well organized. They brought 15 therapeutic bunnies that were unbelievably cute, soft, friendly, and cuddly. They even played calming spa music to create a peaceful, stress-free environment -- such a thoughtful touch! As guests began arriving, they were blown away by the setup. People immediately lined up to go inside and feed and play with the bunnies. For younger children, there was a short waiver for parents to sign to ensure everyone's safety (including the bunnies), which was quick and easy. We had over 50 guests, and nearly everyone had the opportunity to go in, pet, and feed the bunnies. The owners brought plenty of food so all the kids could participate, as well as blankets so the bunnies could be held safely and comfortably. Everything was handled so professionally and with so much care -- both for the animals and for the children. This was hands down the highlight of the party. Planning an event for 50+ guests in the rain -- especially after losing our original entertainment -- had me extremely stressed. But I have to say, sitting in there holding those sweet bunnies genuinely lowered my heart rate and helped me relax and reset. It brought such a calm, joyful energy to the entire event. My two-year-old daughter absolutely loved it -- she could have stayed in there all day! I received countless compliments from guests saying it was one of the most unique and enjoyable party experiences they've ever seen and that they'd love to book Bunny Gurus themselves. They were worth every penny and truly made the party unforgettable. If I could book them for every event, I would! Do not hesitate -- 100% reach out to Bunny Gurus for your next party. As such, I have been walking around feeling like a character from an antidepressant commercial with a dark, rainy cloud hanging over my head. Every now and then, the rain would stop for a while, but the cloud persisted. Until today. I experienced true bliss every moment that I spent at Farmer Jen's farm today. I pet the most docile llamas with the beautifully soulful eyes. I painted with an adorable, super chill bearded dragon named Sunshine relaxing on the table. I pet beautiful corn snakes, helped children tie knots for a craft, made my own craft (which involved painting chickens on rocks while surrounded by the unusually friendly chickens), and watched my kids joyfully paint and play. It was almost as though we stepped into a movie, complete with background music from a perfectly curated playlist. One of the partygoers was crying about their artwork not turning out the way they wanted, and Farmer Jen jumped in and beautifully helped them (and literally turned their frown upside down with her compassionate words and actions). There isn't much fun stuff to do in Palo Alto if you're a tiny tot, but this place seemed like it was created for the little ones! Would highly rec if you are in Palo Alto for a day and want to bring your young child somewhere. There are different parts to this - a museum, and also a mini zoo. The museum has all sorts of fun activities, similar to the Bay Area Discovery with building blocks, magnets, trains, cars, tops, etc. The mini zoo is also quite fun with a variety of animals, although not many. The quality of the animals was great, though. They had a feeding hour for the Flamingos when I was there, and although my toddler was not interested, it seemed like the staff stayed for the whole hour, and made sure that anyone who wanted to do it had a chance to do so. Other animals there included a free-roaming peacock! The only draw here is that it's a little small, compared to a real zoo, or a real museum such as the Bay Area Discovery Museum, or the California Academy of Sciences. That being said, the price for this museum was quite reasonable, at $14 per person over 1 year old. Even for the 1.5 hours I was there, I thought it was well worth it! Free parking too.
