My fam loves getting the family meal for 19.80$ its a whole chicken, rice, refried beans & tortillas. Its enough for us 4. The chicken is our favorite, tasty charbroiled chicken :) my mom lovesss the beans. For the price its really great, I just wish inside they had stronger ac bc it can get kinda hot. Service is pretty fast. They also have agua frescas which are good.

Dropped in for an after gym lunch. Restaurant was very clean & staff was friendly and quick to attend to me. I had a chicken quesadilla with beans and rice that was very good. Highly Recommended!!!!!!

Hidden gem alert! I first discovered this spot after an early morning workout at EOS Russell. Arriving at my car, I'm smelling BBQ at 845am! Follow your nose to billowing smoke from the outdoor wood fire grill obscured by an automotive garage. Located at the corner of Pecos and Russell, they open at 9am so I waited until they opened. Fresh! Fresh, never frozen grilled whole chicken. Great seasoning, hot, moist, never dry, meaty tender goodness, oh my goodness! They do have Carne Asada and Baby Back ribs too. This review is just about their namesake but the ribs, also cooked on the outdoor grill, look very good. There is a refrigerated salsa bar with three fantastic condiments consisting of a pico de galloesqe chunky salsa with a perfect 6 of 10 spice, a chipotle like sauce with a 5-6 spice factor and a delicious tomatillos sauce with a 4-5 spice range. On Wednesday they have a 12 piece for $12 for all you Ketogenic folks. All healthy, all natural, highly recommended.

very dry, flavorless chicken but excellent sides

I really really wanted to love this chicken but I just don't. We opted for takeout and got a the whole chicken which comes with tortillas, beans and rice. The chicken was a huge let down. While the charbroiling was great, the meat was dry (even on the dark meat sections) and it was pretty flavorless. That being said the sides were fantastic. Probably the best beans I've had a from a fast service place in a while. The rice was really good and the salsas were amazing. I'm glad this was true because I had to douse the chicken in salsa to help with the dryness. I'm not saying I wouldn't try this pace again. The sides were good enough that maybe this could have been a one of. Def give it a try and I hope when you go (and the next time I do) the chicken will be better.

Chicken burrito with cheese

I came here because I was really hungry and needed food that was not from a fast food chain. This isn't the first time I've came here so I'll go ahead and provide my thoughts on this place. 1: Aroma- They grill their chicken outside. The aroma of the chicken will make u want to order chicken even if you came for something else like Asada, pastor, etc. 2: Customer service- CS here is not the best. The employees here don't really like to engage with customers regardless of how nice u may be with them. But it is always someone different at the counter yet the same experience. 3: Food- I ordered a chicken burrito with no onions and cheese(extra $1.00) and my order felt it was completely wrong. There were onions in the burrito.. I'm not sure if that meat was chicken or not but when I was picking it out it seemed to have another meat inside that was not chicken.. the burritos don't have a lot of meat in them.. they stuff them with beans, rice, and sour cream and very little meat. They didn't add cheese and if they did it was very little.. and they added onions after I said no onions. Overall- I would come back and would prefer this spot over say, a el pollo loco or Taco Bell. But it is not a place that I would recommend for people to visit as say a "top place for Mexican cuisine or a must visit". The horchata drink wasn't bad however. A little sweet but good flavor. Thanks again!

Bbq rotisserie chicken at it's best, daily during lunch time. Fresh and delicious. Prices are on point and they deliver delicious bbq chicken with fresh sides. This place has fast and friendly service with a clean restaurant to eat at. It tastes as good as it smells. Thank you, I was totally satisfied.

Some things to consider: 1. The place has a cafeteria feel. I prefer a restaurant style, sit down, and have a waitress come to serve me. 2. No chips and salsa. 3. It was crowded when we went. It was probably about midnight on a Monday or Tuesday. I can only imagine how hectic it is on a weekend.

I had the mahi mahi tacos and they were too much for me, in part because they came with three sides, all delicious. My husband had the carne asada quesadilla and enough left over for lunch tomorrow. I tried the lime margarita, also excellent, and we couldn't leave without trying the churros for dessert. The ambience is lovely, with gorgeous decor, comfortable booths, and an excellent Hispanic music playlist. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Big shoutout to our server, Brandy, who knew just when to replace the lemonade, and suggested the excellent street corn. We will be back very soon!

I really like the interior decor which is like a very contemporary and upscale Mexican. They have a variety of table and booth seating and a large bar. Our server, Hunter, was very friendly and attentive. He always ended every interaction with "have fun!" I tried the "el corazon" sangria which was delicious! It had a wonderful, warm flavor with a light hint of cinnamon yet it was still cold and refreshing! A cool tip - each drink comes with a little card with a symbol on it and the drink ingredients. Save this card! At each table is a game board of sorts that offers various prizes as you match the cards on the game board sort of like bingo. We really enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, and we tried the traditional guacamole with vegetables as well. The guacamole was wonderfully cool and creamy and flavorful. For my entree, I tried the chicken fajitas which is served on a steaming platter with various accompaniments. This was also very delicious, and the chicken was quite flavorful and juicy. A small side note - it was served with a cous cous of sort, but I think I would've preferred a simple Spanish rice. The chicken portion size also seemed a bit smaller than when we get fajitas at Chili's. I would recommend you get double meat if you want to share. We decided to try the chocolate flan and the fried ice cream sundae for dessert. I preferred the flavor of the flan and the unique textures of the flan which had the jiggly caramel flan part on top of a more cake like chocolate part below. I honestly think the fried ice cream was not too good. It did not taste freshly fried, and the coating was very dry and brittle and hard to eat. I prefer the places that serve the fried ice cream warm with a very bubbly crust that is both crunchy outside and a bit soft inside. This was not that. Overall, though, we really enjoyed the dining experience here! We will probably return and try their weekday "Fajitas and Ritas" special! I recommend Hola!

It was honestly some of the blandest Mexican food I've had, and nothing we ordered really stood out. It also felt a bit like a tourist trap. A simple frozen margarita was around $20, and the menu seemed pretty limited. I've since heard they're mostly known for their giant tortas, so maybe that's what they're best at. The service was fine, but the overall ambiance felt a little off. There was also a noticeable smell throughout the restaurant that made it seem like there might be plumbing issues. Sadly, the nostalgia wasn't enough to make up for the food, and I don't see myself coming back.
