GET THE DOUBLE CHICKEN BOWL! It's light, tasty, and really filling! I came in to get lunch with some coworkers and we had a great time. My order consisted of rice, beans, grilled chicken, lettuce, salsa, avocado (on the side), and sour cream! It was almost like a deconstructed burrito that came with corn tortillas. I opted for corn, but you can select flour tortillas if that's your thing. Our food orders came out quick and in the exact order they were placed. Pollo trays held our neatly packaged food and sides. The staff was quite professional and resourceful. I only had one issue with my meal, I requested the avocado to be on the side and it wasn't. Overall, everything else was fine! Saturday, May 31 at 6:55p, placed an order for chicken tostada, the male attendant appeared to be unfamiliar with transaction process along with rewards app, dont know if he wasn't trained properly or he just doesnt get.. Couple before me decided not to order left after he told them they didn't have a certain item from the menu. It's now 7:14p, and just got my food. While waiting a man came in right going thru drive thru and he requested his order be corrected as he didn't get the right and a couple left soon after, they weren't even acknowledged... One of the better El Pollo Locos I have been to in a while for a quick meal. The customer service was really great, the GM was very polite and professional. Our food was delicious and the portion for Chicken was very good. It is also located in a good shopping center with a lot of shops and a Walmart gas station. Highly recommend. read more

December 2019, we took the trek from Arcadia to visit family in San Jacinto, and decided to stop and get a family meal for everyone to have a little lunch. The store was clean and the cashier was friendly. I ordered the 14 piece holiday deal with three sides, and a black bean bowl for Mrs. Picante (her go-to at EPL). I always ask for extra broccoli instead of rice with the bowl, and more often than not, the message fails to change the minds of the prep team in the back... yep, this bowl had rice and just a suggestion of broccoli, which is disappointing, but somehow half-expected. It's on the receipt; I just think the cooks/food prep folks don't bother to read past their corporate training. As always, by the time we discovered it, we were already at the house, and really-- who has time to return to the store for broccoli? Nonetheless, we filled our own little cups of salsa and ordered two drinks. The nice lady behind the counter adjusted the order to include one of the drinks with a "meal" to save us the cost of an extra drink. Always a nice touch when someone does that little extra to improve an experience. Almost counters the failure of the back end team that screwed up the one part of the order that really mattered. As El Pollo Locos go, this one wasn't bad. Chicken is always thoroughly cooked (to the point of "no way the lawyers are going to get bothered for undercooked poultry"... I get it, I get it...) but I've had a lot worse at other EPL stores. Of course we'll be back... just like I return to the roulette table at Excalibur. Gambling in moderation is fun, even if the outcome is generally inevitable. read more

I've always have liked polo loco food but today was the biggest let down , we've gone thru drive thru at lunch but it's understandable lunch time is busy . We walk in we are not greeted, I did not see anyone that could possibly take the role of a manager , we stood there for 20 minutes finally the guy at the counter takes the order of the couple in front of us , then he leaves for 10 more minutes packing to go orders or drive thru orders , then he leaves service is PATHETIC!!!! Good customer service in a food place is not a one man job! It takes a good team of employees to make a food business successful & complementing . The dining area is filthy ever table and chairs & floor was dirty I had to clean our table and chairs with wipes I carry in my purse & it was about 4:15 pm , NO EXCUSE I ordered the double chicken tostada salad , my food was sitting in back counter at least 15 min my friend ordered 2 piece wing & breast meal both pieces of chicken were sooo dried out , we had to go up to counter to ask the guy if we could get tostada now since it's been sitting up on back counter so long , what is going on with San Jacinto Pollo Loco ??? Not my favorite location. And we tried it today to see if it's improved as we've usually visited El Pollo Loco whenever we were short on time. Big regret! The manager should learn how to hire people. This is the second time I went through the drive thru with the same girl giving a massive attitude because i asked for my receipt, and I wanted to check it cause the price was off. I wasn't wrong she missed an item, and I decided to leave it alone, no napkins or pico in my bag. I am done waisting my money in this place. Girl looks like she hates her life and wants to let everyone know it. Girl needs therapy. Also, my guacamole burrito was sad looking, barely any chicken, no quac, just cut up avocado. The Chipotle guacamole didn't have the rice and was just cut up avocado slices. I'll take my money to the taco truck on Florida. I can get a nice fat burrito that's actually worth the 10 bucks..... The tacos were $3.59 cents I decided to be generous and get my sister a taco too I was going to pay with my card until I saw the screen that said that it was $10. I was wondering why it was $10. It would be 8 dollars because of the tax that came. until that rude lady decided to add extra stuff onto my card. She added the combo instead that came with a drink and chips when I did not ask for the combo I asked for two tacos specifically I asked her how it was $10 and she explained to me that it was a better deal. I do not care if it was a better deal so if you are reading this, you should've never added extra stuff to my card because this is my card and I did not ask for the chips and all the stuff that you added to my stuff. It's been about 3yrs that I came to location. My previous experience was not the greatest. The chicken was chard, cold and stuff. The lettuce and avocado were decomposing. The portions were scares. I refuse to return to this place. I guess In mu case the frase never say never comes to mind. My parents have raved about good everything is here. So today I decided to give it another try because my nephew wanted Pollo loco. I was really surprised with this experience overall. I was debating on writing review . But honestly I just had to . we stopped by this location as it was closest to where we stoped to shop . It was early in the morning . We were there at 10:30 place was still not open . Got food but chicken was not properly cooked ) didn't open till we got home. It seemed like it was just boiled. Had a lot of yellow food coloring or whatever they use for chicken but had no flavor (cut a couple of pieces still they were under cooked ) . I took pics of food it was only put on grill barely just to show the marks of grill but that's it. We had to throw away flavor was not there honestly discussed ( I have gotten El pollo loco before and that's what I enjoy grilled ) well not this time . We have eaten here many times before going to the movies at the Regal Cinema next to you guys, and have never had any issues with customer service or your food. My complaint is that i have been here countless times and the reason why I continue to go back is because you return the coupons so i can reuse them on my next visit. The last time that i went, the cashier kept the coupon. When i asked her about it she told me that, they always keep the coupons. I ordered an 18 piece meal and an extra 8 pieces of chicken online via my app at about 525pm. I arranged to pick up the order at 6:30 PM. When we got there at 630pm they had barely started putting the order together. It was not busy inside or at the drive thru. The people working at this restaurant are not very nice people and the customer service is very poor. When the lady brought the bags of food to my husband as he stood at the counter, he asked to review the inside of the bags to make sure everything was there that we ordered. The lady said everything was in there and there was no need to open the bag. So, he trusted that she put everything in the bag that we ordered. We drove 25 minutes home and when we opened the sealed bags, there was only salad, chicken, tortillas, Utensils and salsas. The two Large sides of rice and the large pinto beans that we ordered and paid for online via my app were not in the bags. The salad was in a separate bag. I called and wanted to speak to the manager and the lady that answered the phone said she was the manager in charge, said there was nothing she could do about it and could not refund me for their error. I spent $55 on tasteless chicken, tortillas, a wilted salad, and a bunch of little containers of salsa. Extremely disappointing. I go to many El Pollo Locos in Arizona and every one of them has fantastic service and the quality the food is incredible. Just wanted to give a rundown on how sad my chicken bowl was here. I've had more chicken in a taco I've had more chicken in a free sample walking though the mall. I've had more chicken in a salad that had no chicken. I was just as full as not eating it at all and I would have saved $5 A glass of water has more chicken than my chicken bowl. Get the idea?
