This has got to be the worse pollo loco. Employees have horrible attitudes. No please or thank you. Literally no manners at all from the drive thru people. Anyways, I always order a plain taco al carbon and it's wrong every single time. I get home and the taco has onion and cilantro. It's like they do it on purpose! Smh read more

Okay this place is notorious for getting orders wrong! I ordered a pollo bowl and customized it asking for NO RICE! What part of NO RICE do they not understand? I won't order my favorite BRC burrito because it's all rice with barely any beans. I actually sent my son a screenshot of the order so he could check it but the rice was hidden under the topping. The bowl is 3/4 rice and everything else is like topping. read more

I place large orders with El Pollo (catering) and have had several issues with the system automatically canceling my order the morning of my event. I have called the La Verne office and the General Manager and Patty have helped me out with this. I was ordering from another store and was given no resolution to the problem. I talked to Jose, the General Manager and he has helped me to solve the issue for future orders. I really appreciate the help that this store has done and gone over and above to solve this issue. We place large orders a lot and need the reliability for this. The food is a huge hit with the participants of my event as well. read more

The employee on the intercom asked us to order when ready. We immediately told him we were ready but then got silence for 4 minutes. Finally a lady spoke and started taking our order. We started giving the order and halfway through dead silence. We waited about 10 minutes until she spoke again and took our order. When we got to the window we waited another 10 minutes before we got our food and the employees were just inside talking to each other unrelated to work. We checked our food and there were missing items. I do not recommend this place because the staff needs to be trained properly as well as management for allowing this to happen. read more

This place is the WORST!! Bad food and 30 min in drive thru. Literally. Don't come here.

Service is nice with friendly staff. Food is fresh and ambiance n/a went the drive thru route this time around

Let me add ANOTHER NEGATIVE review. I've been eating here almost everyday!! I left my coupon at home and I asked the girl with the glasses for one to scan. She gave me ATTITUDE !!! and didn't want me to dine there!!! Not even a kind gesture and get Jose the mgr to input a code? He's done it before super nice guy. Too bad the girl with the glasses didn't learn anything!!!!! read more

worst customer service ever! as I was ordering the guy taking our order took long to ask us for our order even after we tried speaking multiple times into the mic then as we're ordering he kept asking "is that it" it was really annoying being asked that after each thing and I only ordered 4 items. then as we're getting the food i asked for green salsa and she said they didn't have ANY sauces read more

Not the first time this has happened, did a mobile order and drive literally 2 cities away and order is not ready. Somehow everyone that was in line has their food, mine was said to be ready at 6:30, got here at 6:45 and now it's 7. Rarely come here, but it's not worth the 30 min wait. Order online expecting to get my food and go and gave an extra 15 minutes only to wait min 15 min in the store. FYI wrote this review while waiting for my food. Update just was told another 5 min for corn, 10 min for gravy. We order mostly sides cuz I'm vegetarian, my wife likes the chicken taco but do not worth waiting 45 min. read more

Honestly, if I could give it negative stars I would. My boyfriend friend and I just went through the drive through and the girl at the window was incredibly rude, and gave us the worst attitude ever. She even started talking about my boyfriend and I in a negative way when she asked "What did you order again?" Then proceeded to say, "Dude what the f***? Why do people be ordering that s*** for?" When we heard that, it was kind of the last straw for us to eat here. We live down the street so the rest of the stuff we have heard the staff in the past say was something we could just brush off, but this was the last time we would stop here after hearing the staff talk that way. We just left without receiving our food. Please, if you could go to another El Pollo near by, that would be best than eating at this one. I would avoid at ALL costs. read more

This is another just another reason why do not buy from this chain anymore, but my tired lazy behind thought why not we haven't had this place literally in YEARS and always go to Juan Pollo which is way farther from my house. I ordered a family meal and I ask the disinterested employee is everything in there that I ordered just to make sure because I have hungry toddlers, and confirmed yes even the stuff I paid extra for. Well, guess what, someone cannot do their job and guess what I get hungry and angry toddlers when I get home. I am just gonna forget this place ever existed. read more

Anytime they give you a link to a website to "rectify an issue" the link is invalid. Really piss poor customer service.

Horrible horrible. I waited for my food 30 min There's 4 pollo loco employees sitting down in a table and they didn't bother to do nothing to help the crew in the kitchen There's was probably 3 more customers ahead of me waiting for their food and none of the employees tried to apologize for the wait or even let us know the situation they kept prioritizing drive thru instead of their customers inside their dine in and we were here longer than the drive thru customers were And yes the amount of chicken they add is nothing to top it off The coordination in this location is very bad. When did Pollo Loco in La Verne start using Cornish Game Hens as a substitute for a bona fide chicken? Because that is what we got on our last visit to this store (see photo). I know that the rona scare is hard on all businesses. Last week, this store did not have enough staff to open for walk in order or dining, and all business was being routed through the drive through. My wife ordered (2) 3 pc meals and 2 breasts and a drink; when she got home, she had (2) 2 pc meals, no breasts and had to remind the server about the drink. I was APPALLED at the tiny legs and thigh portions, and immediately fired off an email to corporate. To date, I have not heard back any word to address my concerns. Only reason for a 1 is that the manager made poor management decision and should be retrained ASAP. Came here at 8:40pm on a weekday evening and they close at 9. However they decided to close their dining room without any notice on their doors. You are just shockingly greeted with locked doors when you try to enter. The drive thru line was very long and when I knocked AND then also called to ask if the dining room was just temporarily closed or if they did in fact close early they did not even turn around to answer the door nor did they answer the phone. Unacceptable. Not sure that the owners of EPL would approve of them turning business away by closing early by 20 mins or more at a time when so many companies are hurting and when their employees need to keep their jobs. read more

Walked into place an order to go and then when order was ready it was wrong, thank God we came in, wife ordered a DOUBLE SHRIMP TOSTADA and the gave her a Burt chicken one so once she realized it was wrong she walked back behind food preparation counter and with her bare hands NO PLASTIC GLOVES grab the chicken and looked like she threw it back into something and then she places habanero shrimp in the same tostada bowl and was told no it's regular shrimp and looks like she got upset or something so she said something to another worker who finally brought the right food we paid and ordered for and also if you paying with a card they want everybody to use this nasty touch screen which takes much longer to navigate through so at the end of the day see about going elsewhere in the future. Hey it's just my review had to come and edit got home and dam burrito for me is missing so we had to come all the way back to get what we paid for I'd be honest we ain't coming here again. Was craving for some chicken so I decided to go to drive thru and pick up some , I ordered 8 pieces family with 2 large sides . When I got home I was surprised by the container they used for my chicken I thought they got my order wrong . The container was so small it looked like it just fitted 4 chicken . When I opened it it showed 8 tiny dehydrated chicken !!! I cannot believe I was looking at how dry and malnourished they were . It used to be so nice to eat here , now the quality of the food just went to non existent. My boyfriend is often teasing me with the fact that I am mixed and that my black side is the side that is loving chicken... But in this case, I have to say he is right. I usually have good experiences here, but lately the service has been bad. Today was unacceptable. I went to the drive thru and was told they were out of rice. I was fine with waiting, gave my order and parked to wait for my food. After 15 mins I went inside to ask how much longer, but it turns out they gave my food to someone else. Mind you, it was not busy. There was no reason why they couldn't get my order to me. So, I wait some more. The manger was nice and tried to make it right, but my order came back wrong.
