Their menu offered a lot of randomness. The special of the day was fried chicken but they also had a Mexican-style menu up. Since my friend loves Mexican food, I went that route. I asked for the steak tacos but the woman informed me that there wasn't enough to make a good serving. Disappointing, but I appreciate the honesty rather than get a wimpy taco. So instead I went with the ground beef taco combo. For $5.50 you get three huge tacos covered with freshly shredded cheese, pickled jalapenos, red sauce, sour cream, the works and a soda. (They had orange, grape, lemon iced tea and Pepsi). It was so good and just barely more expensive than taco bell. When I dropped off the tacos my friend said that he had been there before and that they have awesome burritos as well. I will have to look into these burrito claims but so far I am sold on this off-the-trail food truck.

On my first visit, I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich, which comes with fresh cut fries, as do their other sandwiches. The chicken was crispy and delicious, but I wasn't a big fan of the sauce on the chicken. It's not that it tasted bad. It just took away from the chicken. I would likely ask for the sauce on the side or skip it next time. The fries are great!. Well seasoned and cooked in oil that hasn't been reused too many times, which leads to dark colored and bitter flavored fresh cut fries. I liked the mac-n-cheese, which I found to be on the creamy side. A lot of places don't balance the thickening agent they use, leaving a gritty texture in their mac-n-cheese - not the case here. The wings were some of the best tasting I've had in town. Their finished on the grill and have a little kick to them. The cheese curds were also some of the best I've had in town. The were lightly battered, and I thought the batter was perfectly seasoned! I thought the side of ranch was also tasty and the serving of cheese curds provided a great value. Finally, the cod fish fry is beer-battered and also very good. I very rarely order a beer-battered cod fry because the temperature of the oil needs to be just right to prevent the batter from falling apart, and often the fish is oily when served, and maybe a little gray and slimy inside. This fish was white and flaky and the batter was appropriately seasoned. The truck just came on the scene the middle of this summer. I'm not sure how long they'll be out, but watch for them downtown and at events. They use fresh and locally sourced ingredients, and their food is rock solid! I hope to try their butter burger and gumbo soon.

I watched the lady make my burrito through the window and man was there a mountain of food piled high, I didn't think she was going to roll it up but she did. My first impression upon opening the box was that this is a huge burrito, see the pictures. It was packed so much that the filling was falling out when I picked it up and it was a two hander to keep it from falling over. My first couple bites in and I was really liking the burrito because of all the layers of flavor. All the fresh vegetables playing with the beans, rice, meat and cheese was really good. I got through about half of the burrito and experienced no weird chewy gristle pieces that some trucks have in the meat. I'm really glad that I decided to go back because I really enjoyed the steak burrito and it was one of better street burritos I have had. Great job.

Comparing to photos of their south side truck, the menu on the north side is much smaller, with steak, pork (al pastor) and chicken the only options listed on the menu. You can get them in tacos, burritos, quesadillas and a taco dinner with rice and beans. Perhaps they have a larger menu on weekend, I'm not sure. I got two pork and one steak taco, because al pastor is generally my fave. Surprise, the steak won the day today though. It was chopped steak, as most taco trucks are, but it was super tender, almost like they braised it first. Great flavor too, much beyond the steak at other places that I find bland. The al pastor was good too, but I like the pork better other places. It was quite well done here with lots of crispy bits and I think I detected a hint of pineapple once or twice, but couldn't make out any pieces by looking at it. Tacos came with big wedges of lime, and you can do your own salsa from two squeeze bottles. The verde was mild and a little creamy; the red was hotter but tasted like burnt chiles. Perhaps they toasted them a bit too far before pureeing. Still, good heat to the red one. The tacos came by default on doubled corn tortillas and with cilantro and onion, which is perfect. If you order them "to go" you'll get a closed foam container in a bag, if you order them "for here" you get them on half a foam container. Would stop again if I'm in the area!

This burger had cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon jam, and burger sauce. It also came with chive fries...mmmmmm chive fries. They were pretty busy, which I generally take as a good sign, but I had to wait about 10 minutes for my burger. Not bad of a wait really. They called my name and presented me with my burger and fries. It looked great! I hurried by to my office, eating the delicious fries along the way. They were crispy, hot, salty, with just enough chives that you knew they were there but they didn't overpower. I dug into the burger as soon as I sat down. It was fantastic! The burger was cooked to a perfectly pink medium. The bacon jam was amazingly flavorful! I have no idea what burger sauce is but it was great. The lettuce and tomatoes were nice and fresh too. The sesame bun was nicely toasted and the cheddar cheese was nice and melty. I liked that the bun held up well and didn't fall apart while I was eating it. I was in burger heaven! This Mexican food truck is unique because it also has breakfast items and some American items. I was going to get a couple tacos but something caught my eye on the menu that you don't really see on Mexican food trucks, chimichangas are on the menu so I ordered them at 2 for $8. My lunch took about 5 minutes and I was able to get one Asada and one Al pastor so they let you mix the meats. They looked good with a nice golden color to them. The asada was my first try and the meat was very moist with that hot melty cheese. The Al pastor was was also moist meat with melty cheese and everything a fresh chimichanga should be. To my surprise the meats had no fat or gristle and just tender moist meat with the Al pastor being my favorite. Overall the chimichangas were pretty good and hot to order with the flavors of the meat not being the best I have ever had because I have had tastier seasoned Asada and bigger flavor Al pastor but the fresh quality from a truck was what gets them the 4 stars and the fact that they are even on a truck menu at all.
