I was in desperate need of an overdue oil change. I called Country Automotive, but they didn't…read moreanswer and never got back to me. Found Station on Yelp. I called, and a nice man said to just bring in the car. Harry is great! He said that they heard noises, but maybe it was just because of old oil. Then, after the oil was changed, he said, nope, it's something else. The oil change was done, and they also said that they could diagnose the check engine light problem. I could come back on Friday. So I did, and the wonderful Edgar fixed the trim clips and removed some yucchy stuff from my temporary fix. He also ran the diagnostics, but alas the results were the same as my cheap OBM-II. They're going to do a smoke test ($180) and figure it out. I jokingly asked if they could just use a cigar, and he laughed. He kindly explained how the machine worked. They get their parts directly from the manufacturer, which is good, and hopefully much less than the dealership. I told him that Land Rover in CO wanted $5000 to diagnose and fix the problem, and Edgar was incredulous. I'm delighted with service I received, and very convinced of the capability and honesty of the mechanics here. This is tucked away on Montauk Highway. Definitely a hidden gem, lol.

I love my Range Rover, but the plastic trim clips break over time. SO ANNOYING. I regret to admit…read morethat I attempted a temporary fix with black duct tape, which is temporary indeed. Bleah. So I called to ask if someone could replace the trim clips. I have an enormous assortment, which I purchased online. Anthony said to bring the car over, and he'll take a look. Well, none of the 620 clips in the box will work. Pfffft. He said that the clips have to go in a certain way, and they slide on. He said that I will have to go to Land Rover for the clips, and he would install them. He very kindly put some more tape on the trim, and didn't charge me for it. I will get the clips, and return. I also need his help with another issue, and I feel very confident that he'll do a great job at a fair price. I am delighted to have found a good mechanic!! I have a wonderful mechanic in Colorado, and wasn't sure if I could find one of his caliber in NY. I'm happy to say that I believe that I have!

The seal was bad and they remounted and balanced 2 tires for about $50. It was a cold Saturday morning in November 2019, and they did this right away as I hung out and told all my bad jokes. Honda also said I needed rear brakes. I did not. They had plenty of pad left on them to last a long time. Now off to give Honda a nice review too lol.
