Finally a park that's close by the house and big enough for all dogs ... and traing space ... ‍

We finally felt comfortable enough to take our puppy to our local dog park. Since I've heard two sides good and bad about this specific park I was a little nervous. Well, we had a really good experience. Our pup who is just 4 months old really enjoyed himself and I found the park to be very clean. There ar homeless surrounding the perimeter but they don't bother you. I liked how there was extra poop bags in case you forgot them or ran out. There is a water spout for the pups if they get thirsty. If you have a little one there is a smaller section for smaller dogs I believe 35 lbs or less. I do have one complaint and it's not the park but a specific dog owner. If your dog's goes #2 the right thing you should do is pick it up right? Well, this lady's dog takes a giant #2 while watching it and turns a blind eye. She left it for either us dog parents or another dog to step in. I was very disappointed. So, make sure when walking around you are aware that there may be poop on the grass due to irresponsible dog owners. read more

This is the one and ONLY dog park in Tracy! With so many people (100,000) and dogs, I can't wait until the new dog park opens on the south side of Tracy. I hear it's about a year out. This dog park is pretty good. It has a small side and a large side. The large side is definitely the popular side and there is a lot of rough housing so beware! My French Bulldog is still a puppy at 10 months so I only take him on the small side. It's pretty spacious and there are trees and a bench. I wish there was more seating. The water fountains are not automatic so you have to hold the button continuously or the water drains. There are poop bags and a nice receptacle. There is no public restroom. My dog Cooper loves to play with the other dogs:) read more

Just went again and it is completely run down, puncture vines and poop all over. It's nasty and we definitely won't be back. Huge Homeless encampment directly behind the park. read more

Absolutely horrendous! This was my childhood park and as soon as me and my friends go after years we start to get harassed by the homeless that live there! I've seen so many trash, cigarettes, and used needles everywhere! We were just trying to skate but we turned back home and are now planning to never return. read more

Love this park! It can get kind of crowded in the mornings on the bigger dog area due to regulars meeting up. The smaller dog area isn't packed in the mornings. I'd just keep a close eye on your littler dogs because I felt like some of the bigger dogs were going to hop the gate to play with my little ones, which isn't a problem with me but if you're afraid of bigger dogs, just something to thin read more

The skate park is really great, if you want to smoke or drink or meet the police. It's not that it's bad for skating, but there isn't as much of that kind of activity. Most everyone complained and sat. That was an improvement over my first two visits over one year ago. I stayed quite a while on Sunday and the police threatened to arrest me and someone else for being there after dark. It is a misdemeanor. It's nice to have an inclosed park that we can bring our dogs too ! We go often. The only complaints I really have about it is that I wish they kept up with maintenance in the park though... Alot of random mud puddles are around especially in this one spot.. it is constantly muddy and alot of the dogs just love to drop themselves right into it ( including my bull dog) . Also I think the dog park could use a few more benches and maybe another water fountain on the other side of the park .. I think that would be awesome because it kind of sucks sitting on the bench on the far end ( if thats all thats avalible) and have to walk all the way back to the entrance every time your doggy needs a drink .. I mean it is a pretty big place. I also think a wooden bulletin for the 'lost dog' pictures and signs .. Might be nice for the people who go to be able to put up their dog related business cards too! Just an idea on improving the park a bit because unfortunately I think after they built it they forgot about it.... I just think the park and rec people need to pay a little more attention to the park . But I do love to go and let my dogs play with all the other dogs .. I've been searching for a quality dog park for my old man of a beagle mix and have traveled quiet a distance to try a few out. To my surprise I found one close to where I live and even more, it was far bigger than the ones I've been to. This place is huge and well kept. The dog owners take good care of their animals, aka pick up their poop asap. There are sometimes a few stray poops in the back but I assume that it is because the owner didn't notice. There are quiet a few dogs of every shape and size. It is busy even on weekdays and you get a range of personalities: from the loud, rambunctious to the old mellow dogs (like my dog). Like every dog park, there can be a few problems with very rowdy dogs and aggressive dogs but for the most part everyone seems to get along with one another. There is ample amount of parking right next to the park and attached to the dog park is a normal park and skate park. A little of everything for everyone. Dog poop bags are provided and there is a relatively clean dog fountain for your pups to get a sip of water. I take my boy a few times a week depending on whether or not he wants to go. He's a bit older so he's not really into playing with the other dogs, but boy does he like sniffing butts! read more

I saw my pooch do the tango with another poodle. No, really, it was the tango dance. Both got onto their hind legs, stared into each others eyes and walked back and forth while wagging their tails. It made everyone around them smile... so cute! This is a giant dog park that lets both large and small dogs mingle together. Luckily, my dogs can manage co-mingling with both biggies and littlies. Loads of room to run freely for both dogs and humans. And best part, it was fenced up, so, you don't have to worry a lick over losing your dog. read more

I checked out this dog park for the first time the other night and I was really impressed. The thing I like the most about the park is that it is really big. There is plenty of room for a bunch of dogs and people to be utilizing the park at the same time without feeling cramped. I have a bigger dog, but it was nice to see that there is a separate area for the little dogs. Those little runts seem to be more viscous than any of the big tough dogs I've come across. The only thing I didn't like about the park is that there aren't any dog bowls for the dogs to drink out of. Every time that your dog wants a drink, you have to walk over to the water fountain and hold down the button so that he or she can get some water. There is only one water fountain that is right by the entrance, so it can be a pain if you want to get away from the crowd by the gate. Overall, it's a great place to bring your pup and I'm sure I will be back regularly. read more

The stars are for the location. But for the owners I'd give one star. Within 1 minute a bull terrier attacked our yellow lab. After another minute it happened again. The owner then left We left and I re-entered the park without my dog to throw away his poop. At that time I witnessed several other pit bulls getting in a tussle. Any breed dog can have a bad day I realize that. But I should've been more weary entering a park full of bull terriers. read more

In the mornings when it's crowded this place can be a bit rough! I recommend going in the afternoon when there's less craziness and owners can pay better attention to their dogs. My dog doesn't do well with the big and small dog sides sharing an adjoining fence. When there's a dog on the other side she obsessively chases them back and forth and tries to get over there. The fences all around are pretty low. It wouldn't be a stretch for most dogs to escape over them or under the big cracks beneath them. I've had one incident where my dog was attacked. The attacking dog charged her and bit her neck the second he got within the gate. The offending dog and owner left the park as did we. This could happen at any dog park. There is a two gate entry system, dog water fountains on the inside, poop bags, trash cans, grass, dirt, a few trees, and a small agility set up. read more

I took my dog today here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. It was huge- he had plenty of room to run around freely...there was a little doggy water fountain, and even some obstacles you can use to "train" your dog. The park was also easily accessible with plenty of parking. I've been to a couple of other dog parks in the surrounding area, and compared to other ones I've been to this one has been my favorite. read more

This a pretty good dog park. It's pretty clean. The people who use it are respectful and pick up after their dogs. There's lots of room and lots of shade and no shade. Water foundation. Always a good mix of dogs. People are pretty conscious with their dogs. Aren't high strung and freak out if there's a scuffle. read more

Don't put you animals at risk by going here! I've been here twice once there where 3 dog fights within the 30 minutes I was there, the second my dog was attacked! Not worth it, my dog loves to run, but hated going to the vet from being bite! I will drive the 20 miles for the next closest dog park! read more

I took the wee dog here today for the first time. The park is much larger than I expected and it was surprisingly well kept (wow, Im sounding like squishy's review, but its true). The other dog owners were friendly and helped me and the wee one get acclimated . I know that a dog park experience will vary wildly depending on who is there, and I am glad that during my trip it was all responsible dog owners and super friendly pups. This is a terrible dog park my dog got attacked by a Pitbull , the dog bit her face and locked jaw and I had to rip the pitbulls Mouth open so it would let my dog free and she had a flesh wound near her eye and the owners of the dog did even stay they said sorry and ran and got into truck and drove off and we had to take her to the vet she was bleeding all over and she had to have glue on her wound and its swollen this happen on 12-26-14 read more

We love going to this park! The small and large dog areas are nice and kept up well. My 3 year old loves the park and watching the older boys skate boarding at the skate park. Glad to see they are adding bathrooms, that was the only hard part about having my 3 year old there. All the dog owners I have met there are always very friendly. read more

The park is nothing special, but hey its all we got. PROS: - It's a fairly large lot, a couple benches, and 1 fountain for the dogs. - There are 3 obstacles for the dogs to negotiate. - They added a small dog section recently, which is good. CONS: - The afternoons and weekends will have more pits and questionable owners, so beware. - only 1 fountain on end of park - muddy during rain season (they should sprinkle grass seed more often) - There are no rules restricting kids from playing (bad bad bad) read more

We take our lab to this park several times a week. Straight off, I want to say "Shame on the city of Tracy for having 1 dog park in the entire city" I mean, come on, with all the open land and new developments on the south side of town, why is this the only park? It is not convenient for us since we live down by Linne and Valpico. The park is a nice park, I guess the dog park is about 1.5 acres. There is tons of room for any personality dog. Since this is the only park, there is usually a ton of dogs here. There is a dog poop bag stand, and a crappy water fountain that drains immediately, so you have to stand there to keep it on. Bring a big bowl and fill it up when you enter. I think that the biggest negative to this park is that there are no bathrooms in the entire park. There is a skate park and a playground and a large playing field for soccer or whatever, but no bathroom. I only take my dog here because there is no other choice. read more

My first time at this dog park and my pup loved it. It was fairly clean. The park provides bags for picking up your dogs poop and it looks like most of the owners do that because I was able to run around with my dog and not have to worry about where I was stepping. Great shade area with benches. I went around 11 there were only 2 other dogs so not bad at all. Overall great. read more
