Hands down my favorite spot to hang out, bbq, have fun and take some great pictures! This park is huge - lots of open grass space as well as playground. So many beautiful areas in the park make great backdrops for pictures any time of the year!

Beautiful open spaces, that families and friends can meet and be together is a wonderful thing. Its a shame that I don't get out more than I do. So when I am able to, I take it all in. We attended a birthday party for a 4 year old here. There were 2 different play structures for the kids to play on. Which they did with gusto. They had small bark chips instead of sand which I actually liked. Its better than having a giant cat box for kids to play in. I also found out that you can reserve areas to have events at local parks in Tracy. You just have to call the City of Tracy to reserve your area. My friend didn't but there is plenty of area to just show up and have a 4 year olds birthday. Plenty of picnic tables, open, shaded grass to lay blankets out for babies to lay on. The Willow Trees were my favorite aspect of the park. There is something about a giant Willow Tree with the spring sun beaming on it as it sways in the wind. It makes you appreciate the beauty of nature just a little more. Don't forget the trails they have running along the park also. Great for running, dog walking, and bike riding. Can I say any more great things about this park?! Bring the kids, bring the dog, bring some snacks, just bring it! Ill just stop while I'm ahead.

This is a nice little park located next to Villalobos Elementary school. I come to this park often for personal & photography purposes. I like this park in particular because of the beautiful Willow trees and all the shaded areas. The park is well maintained, clean and safe for children. There are two play areas, one for very young children & one for older children. There is a little courtyard area with benches and different bushes in the middle. I don't tend to go over there much cause I hear a lot of bee buzzing in that area. Eek! There is a short paved trail that runs along a small creek. Great for jogging or walking the dog. There are also a lot of small BBQ areas - mostly single family sized. Bathrooms are also available. Overall a nice and relaxing park. Definitely a great place for family events or just a little alone time.

The two playgrounds need maintenance especially the slides, they have some graffiti/etched writings.

We love this park and always find it to be clean, safe, and beautifully kept. Luckily we live right down the street too.

This part is pretty freaking cool. The splash pad area is smaller than the new park next to LPD,…read morebut imo it's way better. Here's why: The play structures, bathrooms, water play area, picnics and shade are all right next to eachother. As a mom with young kids, I felt comfortable sitting down and watching them run back and forth from water play to the pirate ship, back to the picnic table to grab a snack, ect. The other park in town with a large splash pad area is large enough that I felt the need to follow my kiddos around. The picnic areas here are way nicer because they have good established shade. And, for potty training parents - the bathrooms are literally right there. Across the large flat field (perfect if you want to play soccer) there was adult exercise equipment, basketball courts, and tennis courts. They even had a handicap swing and one of those cool ones for both baby and an older rider, that face eachother. 10/10 reccomend this park! As we got into early afternoon, the park got super busy and there were lots of rough older kids. We decided that the crowd was getting a little too rough for our littles so we decided it was time to go. I would say that if you have toddlers, morning hours are best before it gets super crowded.

This is a pretty new park even though it's been open a few years but I would say it's a better park…read morethan any other Lathrop park. It's near an elementary school but not as close with a whole grass field between. The pathway that's between the school and park is wide and shady, filled with places to sit, workout and eat. There is a restroom at the park and on the Slate Street side closer to the school. The water splash pads runs continuously during the day in the summer because the water is recycled and filtered. They have city workers that check up the area regularly. I see them in the mornings when I go for a walk sometimes. They added a new pergola type area next to the tennis courts. More tables to enjoy and a bbq pit I believe The parking is pretty much street parking but it seems that a lot of the visitors are from the area so they most likely walk to it. Ice cream trucks, well vans come by and sometimes the school would invite Kona Ice usually on Wednesdays sometimes. Kona would usually be on the Slate Street side FYI
