The 5-12 area actually has two play structures, with one a little more challenging than the other. - Plenty of shaded picnic tables and picnic areas - Lots of park bench seating - Babq grills - bathrooms - two tennis courts - A Sand volleyball court, no net up (bring your own) - swings for older kids Downfalls: - the grassy areas are uneven, not a great place for kicking a ball around - bathrooms are older and not the cleanest - no water play or misters - no baby swings Overall, there isn't anything brand new or fancy about this park but it's definitely a solid option. It has way more amenities than most city of Tracy parks. The shade is nice, the neighborhood feels safe, and the play structures are large and interesting. There's a good mix for all age groups here!

The water spray plaza was great way to keep the kids busy & cool throughout the day. The play structure seemed decent to play with too. The park is a short walk off of 11th st, located on the back end of Tracy high school by the football field, just down the road from McDonalds & little ceasar's pizza for food options to bring to the park.

This was the first of many parks I visited and I was there for barely a few minutes but I wanted to leave. Many teenage kids here had no respect for personal space and would walk up to my boyfriend and I and not interact with us...kept smiling weirdly too...creeped us out. I got one picture of us there and left. It was also super windy the day I went; not sure about the time of day but I went to other parks that day and none of which was as windy as this park.

Flappy Bird was a close second but the app developer decided to shoot it down... =) Unlike Verner Hanson and John Erb parks, the rims at Marlow Brothers (a.k.a. Madison Park to many) are of the same size and quality plus the goal posts are very much upright. As a result, the court can get very busy on afternoons when the school kids have done their homework and the worker bees have called it a day. Everybody knows the rule - just call next game if you want to ball. =) The closest beach is probably 65 miles away but this park has a beach volleyball court. It doesn't have a net, so it has become a giant sandbox for all the little ones. Constant reminders of "Don't put the sand in your ear!" would resonate from all over the place. The usual amenities - play structure, benches, tables, covered area, etc. - are available. Although the park lacks a restroom, I gave it 1 more star than the 2 nearby parks because the basketball court is still in good shape. We just need to educate the kids that hanging on to the rim is not cool. Those rims have been broken before and it took some time for the city to fix them. Plus it isn't how high you jump, it's how long you can control yourself in flight. With that, let's ball!!! =)
